CHAPTER 21

One hour, that’s how long I stay hidden in the closet. Nico had the nerve to have sex with Gabby in his room knowing fully well I was behind the closet. Gabby moans so loud, I was so disgusted and irritated.

Never before in this whole life have I been so humiliated and angry.

‘She’s left,’ Nico says, when he finally opens the closet door.

‘Really? Really Nico? You fucked her knowing I was in the room, what sort of twisted game is this?’

‘Are you upset that I had sex with her? If it makes you feel better, I didn’t enjoy the sex, I would have preferred to have been fucking you instead but I had to shut her up before she started looking around, Gabby is a psycho.’

‘I’m not upset. I don’t care what you do Nico. You can have sex with anyone if you want

He smiles, ‘You are jealous.’

‘Stop it. This game ends here, I won’t be coming here anymore. I won’t be seeing you again. Please respect the teacher/ student relationship that we have or I will be forced to have you transferred from my class.

‘You are joking right?’

‘No, I am not, I am serious Nico. Your girlfriend is my daughter’s best friend. My daughter was here a few minutes ago, imagine what would have happened if they both saw me in your room? This could mess my life.’

‘Is this about Gabby? I will break up with her but you also have to leave your husband so we can be together.’

I laugh, ‘You are delusional. You think I can leave my husband for you? What do you even have to offer me? You are just eighteen and a student. You think sex is all it takes to keep someone like me?’

‘I might be eighteen but I know what I want and if it’s about the money you don’t have to worry, my mother has a lot of it and I am sure she wouldn’t mind sharing it with her daughter in law.’

‘Daughter in law? Are you okay?’

‘Yes Penny. You and I are destined to be together; I am not leaving you for anything.’

‘Well, I am done here,’ I turn to leave but he grabs my hand.

‘Like I said, this is not over until I say so. Don’t fucking play with my feelings Penny. So now that you had the orgasms that your stupid old husband was unable to give, you think you can just walk away?’

‘What? Did you just call my husband stupid?’

‘He is stupid if he can’t satisfy you in bed.’

‘What makes you think he can’t satisfy me in bed?’

He laughs, ‘when was the last time your husband touched you like I do? When last did he kiss you the way I do and when last did he give you an orgasm? The minute I touched you, I knew you were lacking. I know your kind, Penny; you use men for sex and go back to your perfect home and act like a perfect wife. Well, this is not happening with me, I will not allow you to use me. This relationship will not end until I am done.’

‘Who are you to speak to me like that?’

‘I am the man that’s been satisfying you and giving you all the pleasure that your husband hasn’t. And I hope you know that things can never go back to how they used to be between us. We can’t just be friends or just have a teacher, student relationship after we have seen each other’s privates. That is not possible my love.’

Knowing I am not going anywhere with this argument, I decide it’s time for me to just leave. I walk out of the room and slam it behind his back. He comes after me and grabs my hand when I am about to walk out of the front door.

‘I will see you later my love,’ is all he says then he lets me go.

I walk out of the house and out of his yard, I walk for a few minutes before I find a cab that drives me to where I left my car. When I finally get into my car, I block Nico’s number on WhatsApp and blacklist it.

When I get home later. I am glad to find that both Darius and Tessa aren’t home yet. I just need some time alone before I am able to deal with either of them. Later, when I manage to freshen up, I sit in front of the TV, a glass of wine on the side table.

‘Hey love,’ D says, walking towards me.

‘Hey babe. How are you? How was your day?’

"It was great and yours?’

‘Fine too. How did the match go?’

‘All good, my team won.’

‘Congratulations.’

‘Thank you, where is Tessa?’

‘She is still out with her friend. I think getting her a car was a good idea. She has been meeting with Gabby more since we got her the car, we should have done it earlier.’

‘I am just glad she is happy.’

‘Yeah. Let me go and freshen up babe, I will join you soon.’

‘Alright my love.’

He leans in and kisses my lips softly before heading upstairs to our room.
