Smack!
Celia narrowed her eyes, took a big step forward, and gave a hard slap to John.
“I hope you two have a miserable life together, forever!”
Huff!
That felt satisfying!
Honestly, she had been holding back this slap for a long time.
“Celia, did you just hit me?”
John covered his face, stunned, and looked at her in disbelief.
Suddenly, he felt Celia had become so unfamiliar.

Just a while ago, Celia was completely fooled by him. She loved him deeply. How could she hit him over such a trivial matter?
He had never been hit by anyone, not even his mother. Yet, she dared to hit him in front of so many people. It seemed that he had spoiled her too much!
“Celia, you’re asking for it!”
A hint of anger flashed in his eyes as he raised his hand and approached Celia, determined to slap her back.
However…
With a loud “bang.” John was kicked away by Henry before he could reach Celia.
“Who
gave you the courage to touch my woman?”
Celia sighed silently. Her mouth twitched as she realised how terrible her judgment had been.
How blind was she back then to think that this foolish and incompetent man was her beloved master?
“Ugh!”
It was only when the pain spread from his calf to his whole body that John suddenly noticed Henry’s presence.
He had forgotten about the existence of this troublemaker because he was overwhelmed by a series of
events.
In the past, he dared to be audacious in front of Henry because Celia liked him and protected him, but now she has changed…
John’s heart sank. He quickly got up, enduring the pain, and smiled, saying, “Mr. Henry, you misunderstood. I just noticed Celia’s hair was messy and wanted to help her tidy it up.”

A cold light flashed in Henry’s eyes as he slowly walked towards John, saying. “Who do you think you are? Do you think you’re worthy of touching her?”
“Hubby…”
When Henry was about to kick again, Celia hurriedly ran over and pulled on his sleeve.
“I’m tired. Can we go home?”
Although she was happy to see John get beaten up, if she didn’t stop Henry, the Nelson Group might be destroyed.
Huh, I didn’t want to let this se’m off so easily!
Besides, seeking revenge is more satisfying when done by myself!
Henry’s body stiffened, and a trace of disappointment flashed in his eyes.
Oh!
He almost forgot. Today was just a show that Celia put on for him. How could he have taken it seriously?
He pursed his lips and silently took Celia into his Rolls–Royce.
“Henry, are you angry?”
Sensing that the coldness emanating from Henry suddenly intensified, Celia gently poked his arm and asked cautiously.
Henry sneered, “Huh, why aren’t you calling me hubby now? The show is over, so you don’t have to pretend anymore, right?”
“That’s not it”
Her heart tightened. She quickly shook her head to explain, “I wasn’t acting. I really don’t like John. anymore. I want to live a good life with you!
“Henry, if you like, can I call you hubby from now on?”
Celia bit her lip and looked at Henry anxiously,
“That’s enough!”
Henry reprimanded lightly, “Celia, stop acting. I promise you that I won’t interfere with the Nelsons.”
He reached out to touch her head but suddenly remembered that Celia always disliked his touch. So, he silently withdrew his hand and sighed.
“Celia, you don’t have to pretend for me because of John. Just be yourself.”
“Henry…
Listening to his helpless voice, Celia suddenly felt a pang of guilt.
She had never felt so remorseful before

Henry, such a proud person, had compromised for her repeatedly.

During the years they had been together, she must have done things that made him feel distant, which made him so humble.
Her eyes
turned red, and she suddenly hugged Henry tightly.
“Henry, listen carefully. Everything that just happened wasn’t me intentionally acting for you to see. It’s because I despise John, and I want to see him fail!
“I’m not pretending for you because of John. I genuinely like you and want to make you happy!
“I know it’s
hard for you to believe me right now. But I will prove through my actions that I haven’t lied to you. I truly want to have a good life with you!
“Henry, can you trust me one more time? I promise I won’t let you down this time!”
Henry’s body stiffened. He lowered his head slightly, looking at Celia, searching for any signs of deception in her eyes.
But those watery eyes were filled with sincerity, without a trace of guilt.
She disliked his touch, but now she was willingly embracing him.
I would give her another chance!
After a moment of silence, Henry nodded and said, “Okay, I trust you..
“Celia, this is the last time I’ll trust you. Please don’t disappoint me!”
“Then, can you promise me one thing?”
Henry stiffened, and a bitter smile appeared on his lips.
He almost believed that Celia had changed.
She was still the same as before. There must be a hidden motive behind her sudden compliance.
Sensing his tension, Celia immediately guessed what he was thinking.
She quickly explained, “Henry, listen to me. I want you to hold off on taking action against the Nelsons, but it’s not because I still have feelings for him. It’s because I want to seek revenge with my own hands!
“That despicable John deceived me for so long. It’s too easy for him to go bankrupt like this! I want to seek revenge in my own way!”
“All right.”
Henry fell silent momentarily and gently rubbed her head.
“Celia, I can promise you. But if you deceive me, I will never trust you again!”
Celia nodded vigorously and smiled with narrowed eyes. “Henry, I will never let you down again.”

Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the Leifs was far from peaceful.
“Molly! What’s going on between you and John? Do you realise that because of you, the Leifs‘ stock market has dropped by several percentage points?”
Facing Daniel’s angry gaze, Molly trembled and quickly cried out in grievance, “Dad, I didn’t know it would have such a big impact, but I couldn’t resist! I never expected Celia to drug me!”
Amelia Payne poured a glass of water and handed it to Daniel to calm him down. She said, “Honey, don’t you know what kind of person Molly is? If it weren’t for Celia drugging her, how could she have done such a shameful thing?”
Daniel furrowed his brows, recalling Molly’s usual gentle and lovely demeanour. He couldn’t help but feel regretful.
