Thrown Away

After Finn finished feeding, Jai clearly wanted to go to Nikora so he offered to burp Jai and change his nappy. "I have something to say to everyone if they are still here anyway. Can you give me 5 minutes before you bring Jai down please?" Finn asked. Nikora agreed and was excited that Finn trusted him with her son. He saw this as a big thing.

Finn headed down the stairs and immediately Myles, Sunny and Zane stood up. "Finn" Myles began. "Shut up Myles. It's my turn to speak" Finn stated causing Myles to nod and close his mouth. Finn had things she knew needed to be said and it was about time she did.

Once Finn was down the bottom of the stairs she took a deep breath. "Right, Myles you hurt me. No shut up and let me talk. I did nothing wrong at all today and you made out that I just left my son. I didn't, I organised for him to be cared for. I made sure he was safe but you didn't see that. All you did was tear me down just like Taylor use to. No shut up, don't interrupt me" Finn spat. Myles had kept trying to talk but each time was told to shut up.

"Now you need to all listen to this. Since mum died, I have had to do everything that I was told, don't be seen Finn, don't upset Taylor, keep your head down, don't make waves Finn. Then with Jarrod I didn't have the normal dating experience, it was just sad because I had to be 18 for anything more, you Myles were so involved in your life, you kept telling me to stay out of the way so I didn't cause trouble. I had to be quiet and unseen. Then when shit went down with Jarrod and Louise, I was moved out with everyone saying it was for my benefit but it wasn't. I was again told to keep quiet but they found out I was pregnant and when I was beaten, I was moved again, left alone again. But don't worry Finn doesn't mind, she just does as she is told. I had no one to rely on, no one to help me. I had people hunting me and beating me like it was an Olympic sport and Myles couldn't be seen with me otherwise he might lose his position in the club. He was supposedly doing it to keep me safe" Finn spoke up. Nikora couldn't help but listen and he was annoyed by what he heard but so proud Finn was speaking.

"Then when Jai came along, Texas, Sally, Zane and you Sunny all popped up. Let's not pretend it was for me because it wasn't. You turned up for Jai. Nope I am not done talking" Finn stated when Zane went to say something. "When I was hurt you all saw me because I protected Jai. You just saw me as Jai's mum not Finlay. Then other clubs noticed me, so you all played your part and none of you could pretend anything was for my own good anymore, but Texas moved me into his flat and I had to play the role he wanted me to play. He wanted to use me again. It was the first time I made waves because I fled. None of you stopped him and it made me realise just how little I meant to people. No shut up, I am not done" Finn said when all three went to speak.

"I am Finlay. I am 18 years old and today was the first date I have ever been on. You Myles tried to ruin it for me and I almost let you. I am Finlay and yes I am a mother but I am also 18 years old and I get to be seen for more then being Jai's mum. I love being his mum but I am more then that. I am more then the girl Jarrod got pregnant, I am more then the girl who protected her son with her body, I am more then your sister Myles. I have been nothing to everyone for so long, I accepted it. But not anymore. Let's not pretend any of you would be here if I didn't have Jai. Zane and Sunny I am nothing to you but a connection to Jai. Myles you see me as an obligation but I am not. Nikora sees me for me, more then someone's mother, more then someone to be used to gain something. He makes me happy and he has been nothing but kind to Jai and I. He doesn't make me feel like I am a burden. None of you can take that from me because I am done being Finlay the wallflower. Now you can all leave" Finn stated firmly while opening the front door.

"This is my house" Zane stated. Finn rolled her eyes. "That's fine, Jai and I will be out by the end of the week" Finn replied firmly. Sunny glared at Zane and Myles stood there shocked that Finn had just said all that. He had no idea what to say because she had spoken nothing but the truth. "I said you can all leave" Finn again said firmly pointing to the outside of her place.

"Finn I see you" Sunny started but Finn just shook her head no. "No Sunny, you are trying but I am just Jai's mother and a connection to your son. If it weren't for Jai you wouldn't be here. You see me as the girl who got your son caught for what he was doing" Finn replied sadly. "Finn it's more then that. I see the girl who I failed after her mother died. I see a strong woman who fought for herself because no one else did. I see a woman who had the courage to soar and I wish I was like you. I knew what Jarrod was doing, but I was weak. I am not proud of that, but I am so grateful that I get to be around someone who is so strong and that you are raising Jai" Sunny said before hugging Finn and walking out of the door.

"Finn" Myles started. "Nope I don't want to hear sorry Myles, because your not sorry. You are sorry I called you out that's for sure, but you aren't sorry. You haven't even introduced me to your partner so that means you're either ashamed of me or you see me only as an obligation to be kept away. I need you to leave Myles" Finn stated softly. Myles went to protest but Nikora was right by Finn's side still holding Jai who wouldn't even look at his uncle. "You heard her, you owe her this much Myles" Nikora stated. Myles nodded and kissed Finn's forehead and then Jai's before walking out the door. "Finn, I love you and I will see you in a few days" Myles stated. He would give her a couple of days but then he would be back to sort this out. Zane walked out the door without saying a word.

Nikora closed the door and pulled Finn into a hug. "I am proud of you for telling them how you feel" he whispered into Finn's ear. "Me too. I am proud of me but now I need to find a place to live" Finn replied. Nikora smiled, "I have a rental that's sitting free in Eastlakes, it's yours" Nikora stated. "No I need to find something myself not a handout" Finn replied. "You can rent it from the club. I was going to list it next week. I'll get my guys in tomorrow to fix anything that needs fixing and you can move in on Wednesday" Nikora replied. "Ok but I am paying rent. Tomorrow I will look for furniture" Finn stated. "Can I tag along? I know what is needed and the measurements" Nikora replied and Finn just nodded her head smiling before tickling Jai's tummy. Finn felt lighter, like a weight wells off her shoulders after she had said her piece.
