Three Alphas for the Alpha Princess

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

THIRD–PERSON POV

For the second time in a row, Brandon’s private time with Denise was getting interrupted by a family member

Initially, it was his brothers followed by his father making him wonder who was going to interrupt them next. Unfortunately for whoever it was going to be, he could already tell he wasn’t going to succumb to their wishes that easily

With a groan, he dropped his cutlery and signaled to the staff to leave his presence. As quickly as he could, he also bid Denise a temporary farewell and walked out of the dining and in no time, his pack mansion as a whole.

His father, the king’s palace was a reasonable distance from his mansion. It was close enough to be able to summon him and have him appear in seconds and far enough to allow them all live their lives without accidentally running into each other.

A couple of minutes passed and finally, Brandon found himself in front of the gates to the palace. With a sigh, he took another step, his mere presence immediately alerting the guards to rush to open the gates and welcome him in

“Alpha Prince Brandon,” he was greeted with bows. “Your father is expecting you. He’s in his living room.”

He nodded at the man and continued his journey inside. As familiar as the entire surroundings felt, he could count the amount of times he had been to the palace in years. Ever since he moved out years ago, he rarely had reasons to return to the palace. He handled his portion of pack matters from his office and whenever his father had something to say, he always travelled down to his place or had them meet up at the pack office with the rest of the pack elders.

But his father she suddenly asked him to come home, Brandon immediately guessing it had to be for an important reason.

He pushed the front door and stepped into the palace, the scent of candles lurking around every corner immediately welcoming him. It was one of the numerous features his father had in place in the palace to ensure it screamed royalty at every chance it got

He had a neural expression on his face and was only a couple of steps in when that expression dissolved, immediately getting replaced by one of confusion. Much to his surprise, his father wasn’t in the living room waiting for him. And instead, his brothers were there, arms folded, frowns on their faces

“Kayden, Lucien?” He voiced out his confusion. “What are you two doing here!”

They must have not realized he was present as his voice pulled them in his direction, both of them looking shocked to s could as well ask you that question. What are you doing here“”

“Father asked to see me,” he replied Kayden. “Did he also ask to see you?”

“Isn’t that obvious enough!”

“No it’s not,” Brandon folded his arms. “I wasn’t told he asked for all of us.”

“What are you trying to insinuate, Brandon?

“Are you sure you aren’t behind this?” Brandon didn’t hesitate to ask. “This isn’t just another plan of yours to-”

see him “Brandon! We

“Don’t get ahead of yourself, brother, Kayden hissed. “As shocking as it sounds, father asked to see you. And yes, asked to see me too. Why? You don’t think he considers me worthy enough to-”

“Father’s here.”

Their short bickering was interrupted by Lucien informing them of their father’s presence. Immediately, both of them went silent and got on their feet, serving bows to the Alpha King as he strode into the living room.

“Sit, sit,” the king gestured at his sons as he made his way to the empty chair reserved for him. “Save your greetings and settle in your chairs.”

“Yes, father.“”

Silence immediately fell between them, all brothers lowering their gazes. Regardless of how feisty they could be around each other, their father’s presence always managed to humble them for a while.

“The three of you in one space,” Alpha Alistair began. “What a rare sight.”

“Father-”

“How’s teaching?” He faced his youngest and asked him. “Is it fun? Are you enjoying spending your time as the Alpha prince reading and lecturing?”

“Well,” Lucien cleared his throat. “Yes, father, I am enjoying it thoroughly.”

“And you, Brandon?” He faced his eldest son next. “How well are you handling the pack matters? I heard you’re working on signing a treaty with a nearby pack, how’s that coming along?”

“Very well, father.”

“Kayden,” he sunk in a deep breath before addressing his middle child. “Is work going well! Have you found something to keep yourself busy doing! To make yourself useful with?”

“Of course, I have, already on edge, Kayden replied. He sat up in his chair and cleared his throat, ready to list out his most recent achievements to his father. “I have been able to-

“The three of you might have been busy doing whatever you consider best for yourself and the pack but in here to break it you all that it is not enough.”

“What?” The exclaim came from Lucien and Brandon, Kayden taken aback by the sudden interruption of his words. “Father, what do you mean?”

“I mean the pack elders are not contented by your actions,” he went straight to the point. “This is a pack. The great Blue moon pack. And do I need to remind you of what makes our pack strong! What makes our pack a whole? The only thing that ensures the continuity of the Blue Moon Pack?”

He didn’t need to go any further. They all already knew what he was referring to. The one thing that guaranteed the continuity of their pack- a leader and his rightful mate.

“I’m not going to be the Alpha king forever, he reminded them. “And I do not need to remind you all of that. But the pack elders seem to believe you all need to reminded

“Find your mates,” he finally said, birthing tension between them immediately. “We need to secure the Alpha throne position. I do not care about who it’ll be. I just need the position secured.

They exchanged glances, different thoughts immediately running through their minds. Before anyone else could speak up, Kayden took the lead and quickly replied their father.

“Yes, father,” he nodded. “We know how crucial this is. In fact, we had a meeting a few days ago to discuss finding our mate. We know how urgent is and how we have to come to a conclusion=”

“Did you End her then?”

-What?

-You claim you had a meeting about it,” Alistair asked. “You all know how urgent it is. Alright then. So tell, me. What was the result of your meeting Just another round of you all exchanging useless words or was there a positive response to it? A change? Perhaps, finally the appearance of your

At a sudden loss for words, Kayden curled his tongue and lowered his head, having no response befitting his father.

Exactly,” the Alpha King continued. “I’m tired of hearing empty words and promises from all of you. We are all tired. The entire pack is tired as we cannot allow our future rely on words and unfulfilled promises!”

“So we’ve come to a conclusion,” he sunk in a deep breath. “The three of you, halt whatever you’re currently busy with at the pack and travel. I don’t care how far or how wide. Visit packs. Tour the neighboring areas. Do whatever you need to but make sure you find your mates”

What? Father, you

can’t–

“I can and I will,” he cut them off, his expression immediately hardening “So, no objections”

“Find your mates and secure a future heir to this throne.”
