The Witch's Pirate! (Book 1)

Chapter 35: Including Me?

Bayou

“Isabelle, it’s Bayou!” I heard a deep male voice, my body pulsated from the aftershock, my rib cage was burning. I moved my fingers, even doing that hurt.

“Oh my God, hurry Max, save him,” the woman’s voice was frantic and hysterical. I felt two big hands around me picking me up. I opened my eyes once again, and it was blurry, but what I could make out is a male, short black hair, with whiskers on the bottom of his chin. He was wearing a uniform that I couldn’t quite make out.

Then everything went dark once again.

I awoke, with a terrible headache, my body ached.

“Bayou, I thought you would never wake up.” a soft female voice echoed on my right.

I moved my hand and rubbed my eyes lifting my head up. A woman with soft, long brown hair. Her eyes were a gentle blue, with glossy completion. A small nose and thin lips. Her long slender fingers moved and brushed away my hair very tenderly.

“W..who are you?” I asked, my voice breaking due to the dryness. A soft sadness appeared in her eyes, and then she cleared her throat.

I looked around to find myself in a small room with one door on the right, wide open, our only light source was the door with the sunlight pouring in. The bed was simple, cornered on the side.

“I’m your mama, who else silly, You had an accident,” she told me. I frowned, looking down, to see my small body wrapped in bandages. It hurt to move, though.

“I don’t remember,” I lowered my head, then I heard heavy footsteps coming in.

“I heard from the other room,” I lifted my gaze, to see the same man from before. I balled myself up, placing the plain white blanket around me.

“He doesn’t remember Max.” Her voice trembled with sadness. Max moved and sat on the edge of the bed, giving me a soft smile.

“You don’t remember your mama?” I shook my head.

“Poor lad, he went through so much.” His voice turned tender.

“Do you remember your name?” He asked me. I shook my head.

“No, I’m scared,” My body started to shake, the woman stood up, and sat on the edge of the bed, wrapping her arms around me.

“Don’t be, Mama is here, Mama is here, this is Max, he’s your father,” she whispered to me. I looked above her arm to stare at the older man.

“You’re my mama and papa?” I asked them. Max sighed and nodded at me.

“Yes, we are your parents, and your name is Bayou, don’t be scared any longer, we will take good care of you.”

I coughed out, spilling the blood out of my lungs onto the ground.

“What the hell happened?” I coughed out more, lifting my body up, only to groan in pain. I looked down at myself, I was drenched in blood. My mouth tasted foul.

Why am I covered in blood? I looked everywhere, to see Crystal lying next to me. Without hesitating, I moved to her side and lifted her head up.

“Love, wake up,” I moved and patted her wet cheek gently with no response. Without thinking, I sat her up, in doing so, she coughed out, spilling out all the blood trapped in her. I patted her back,

“Ugh, that taste nasty,” I heard her complain, I sighed out in relief while I made circles on her small back.

“How are you feeling?” Crystal’s body went a little limp but she held my arm for support.

“Like I was squeezed out of breath, what just happen?” her voice was very low, and her body started to tremble.

“Apparently we drank some blood or something.”

That wasn’t a good idea to have said. Crystal glanced at me with horror-stricken eyes, then she covered her mouth and moved away from me, to vomit. I move my head to look around at my surroundings. We were near the coastline of a beach. The sky was blue but no clouds. It felt like it was the afternoon already, and a heavy aura surrounded us.

“Are you done love?” I asked, moving up to her, and patting her back once again. She nodded, turning to face me. It doesn’t bother me after all I traveled around, with a band of drunken men, including myself, and let say is not a pretty sight most of the time.

“Do you have water?” she asked. Her face is pale. I moved and opened my heavy jacket, and took out my flask which was in the inner breast pocket.

“Aye love, you’re lucky I brought water, instead of rum,” I handed it to her. She took out the top and licked her lips. She washed her mouth out first and then she drunk it down.

“Ah, that taste good, here, drink some,” she offered.

I moved my hand and grasped my flask, I did the same as she, and then drank it down. Lowering my arm down, my eyes landed on her plump lips.

Something is missing, damn it. Something big happened, and I can’t remember it. I could feel it in my gut, I watched her small tongue graze her lower lip and I did the same.

I want to taste her lips. The urge to kiss her rushed down to my inner core, I lowered my head, shaking it.

That’s the first.

“Bayou!” She screamed, causing me to jump in fright.

“What? Are you hurt?” I asked her in a panic tone.

“No, but your wound, it can get infected,” she moved rapidly to take a hold of my jacket, I shook my head.

“Is okay, let’s go find the others.”

“Are you sure? I mean I don’t like this, you can get ill. I remember one time when my papa’s friend got a deep cut on his leg, but he didn’t tend to it, so it got infected, so the herb doctor amputated his leg for that.” My heart stopped at her words, but I rubbed the back of my head.

“Don’t worry, I’m fine, they can’t amputate my stomach,” I shook my body, and stood up, holding my middle, since it was burning a bit. Crystal didn’t seem too convinced.

“You know, that’s not what I meant, but where are we?” she asked, looking around the beach coast. I took off my jacket, since it was too heavy, but the strange part was that it was hot, instead of the autumn cold, it was hot in this place.

“The beach, where else?”

“I know that, but how did we end up here?” I shrugged at her, but as I kept looking at her. Something struck me. I can see the transparent shirt, her small back, I can see it.

“Where’s your cloak?” I asked, moving behind her.

“It wasn’t that cold today, so I had Max hold it for me. Why?” she frowned. I place my hand on her arm and gently turned her around. My eyes narrowed, to see my white shirt transparent, giving me a good view of her breasts, since she wasn’t wearing anything, underneath. My chest tightened.

“Love, if you are trying to seduce me, you’re doing one hell of a good job,” I whispered, with a smirk, moving closer to her, but I could feel my cheeks reddening. Crystal arched a brow.

“Seduce you? How? I just want to find the others, stop talking nonsense,” She told me. I sighed, dusting off my jacket and placing it around her shoulder.

“Oi, is hot here, I can get a heatstroke,” she told me, I placed my hands solely on her shoulders, and then glance down at her chest, outlining the shape of her breasts.

I wonder, how they feel? My mind had started to go dark, but I shook it off.

“Let’s say I would be the first to see them right?” I pointed down with my eyes. Crystal arched a brow, and followed my gaze, and then her eyes widened.

“Oh my God, you pervert,” She turned around, wrapping my jacket tightly around herself. I chuckled, and shrugged at her.

“Not really, I wasn’t the one who told you to wear white, just keep that jacket on, until the shirt dries, even if it’s covered with blood. I don’t want any man, seeing that.” I whispered to her, but my voice was serious, and I’d be damned if any other man would get to see those.

Crystal lowered her head down.

“Including you,” she mumbled.

“Aye love, including me,” I wasn’t even joking, she glanced up at me and a dark glint passed her eyes.

“Whatever,” she shrugged me off and started walking away. I frowned, looking down at my hand.

“Since when did I start seeing her like a woman?” I ran my fingers through my hair and glanced at the afternoon sky.

“God, help me, this is not good,”
