Chapter the Wife 76

Chapter 76 Clarification

Hahaha…” Daniel laughed rudely, “Your taste is really… terrible,”

Sally shot Daniel an annoyed look.

Calvin remained calm and said, “I know what kind of person Sally is better than

you do. Daniel, even if you’ve known her for a long time, it doesn’t matter. You’ve never treated her sincerely. You only ever disparage her. You don’t deserve her love.”

Calvin’s words clearly hit a sore spot for Daniel.

Daniel clenched his fists and said, “Calvin, are you really going to be my enemy over this woman?”

Calvin, unfazed, smiled calmly, “Daniel, are you really going to be my enemy over Sally?”

Daniel was taken aback by Calvin’s response.

Meanwhile, Sally had resolutely started walking away.

“Stop right there…” Daniel instinctively tried to block her, but Calvin immediately said sternly, “Daniel, where Sally goes is none of your business!”

Daniel gritted his teeth as he watched Sally walk away.

Seeing Sally leave, Calvin also had no intention of staying. He said, “Daniel, until we meet again.”

With that, he turned and walked out without hesitation.

Daniel was nearly exploding with anger at the two of them.

“Damn it!” he cursed.

Sally got into Calvin’s car, but just then, Daniel came chasing after them with his men.

“Sally, you can’t run away!” Daniel shouted angrily, “We’re not done yet!”

Calvin frowned and was about to scold Daniel when Sally stopped him.

“Daniel, you don’t believe what I said earlier, do you?” Sally asked, frowning.

Daniel still had a disdainful look in his eyes.

Bally sneered, then turned to Calvin, “Mr. Calvin, do you have a laptop?”

Calvin handed her a laptop from the back seat.

Sally took it and then pulled out the broken USB drive from her pocket.

She fiddled with the USB drive and murmured, “Thankfully, it still works.”

Under Daniel’s confused gaze, Sally plugged the USB drive into the laptop.

Sally tapped a few keys and then got out of the car, shoving the laptop in Daniel’s face, “See for yourself!”

The laptop screen showed a surveillance video.

Realizing it was the mall’s underground garage, Daniel was stunned.

Soon, Andy and Mia appeared in the footage.

Andy and Mia seemed to be arguing. Andy pushed Mia lightly.

Mia staggered back a few steps before deliberately falling hard!

Her actions were obviously intentional!

Daniel was dumbfounded.

He had thought Mia had reformed and wouldn’t do such things anymore, but she was still the same.

Seeing Daniel’s expression, Sally knew she had done the right thing.

“Well? What do you have to say now?” Sally raised an eyebrow, “Mia framed Andy, and you wanted to take revenge on Andy for it. Daniel, your behavior is really over the line.”

Daniel stared at Sally’s face.

At this moment, Calvin, still in the car, laughed coldly, “Being played by a woman all day long. And you come from a wealthy family? Is this all you’re capable of?”

Calvin didn’t name names, but everyone knew who he was talking about.

Daniel’s male pride was utterly crushed by Calvin’s words.

He had felt guilty towards Sally, but Calvin’s words made that guilt vanish quickly.

“And what about you? Following a woman around all day. Don’t you have anything better to do?” Daniel tried to strike back at Calvin.

But Daniel’s words had no effect on Calvin.

Sally couldn’t stand Daniel’s tone towards Calvin and coldly said, “You insulted Andy and even pushed him in the parking garage. Daniel, don’t you think you owe my son an apology?”

Daniel laughed angrily, “I apologize to him? Why? He doesn’t deserve it.”

Sally’s eyes flared with anger.

So many times.

She couldn’t believe how shameless and vicious Daniel had become after

losing his memory.

They had been friends for so many years!

How laughable.

Calvin couldn’t stand anyone insulting Sally. Hearing Daniel, he coldly said, Daniel, you’re supposed to be a man. Using such vile words to insult a woman in front of her? Your character is really low.”

Sally added coldly, “Daniel, I can understand that you lost your memory, but even if you regain it, our relationship will never be the same.”

With that, Sally walked away.

Seeing her leave, Calvin also drove off.

Daniel clutched his chest.

For some reason, hearing Sally’s words made his chest ache.

What was this feeling?

Calvin leaned back in his car seat to rest. Just then, his grandfather called.

“Grandpa, what’s up?” Calvin asked.

Berkeley said, “I’ve arranged a dinner for you. You have a blind date tomorrow.

Another blind date.

Calvin frowned.

“Why aren’t you speaking? Are you unwilling?” Berkeley’s tone turned sharp.

Calvin rubbed his temples, “I can manage my own marriage. You don’t need to interfere so much, okay?”

Berkeley was furious, “I don’t care! You must attend that dinner tomorrow!”

Calvin hung up in frustration.

He glanced at his assistant driving the car, “Do you know anything about the woman I’m supposed to meet?”

“Boss, I heard a bit. That woman is divorced and has a child. But… she’s

supposed to be very pretty.”

“What?” Calvin frowned deeply!

He didn’t care about her looks; what concerned him was…

The woman he was supposed to meet was divorced? And had a child?

Calvin couldn’t believe his ears!

He asked again, “Is this information reliable?”

“It’s reliable!” The assistant said, “This is what people close to your grandfather

told me.”

Calvin’s expression darkened.

He couldn’t believe his grandfather would go this far just to get him settled down!

At least find someone with similar conditions to him?

He never expected his grandfather to set him up with a divorced woman with a child!

The more Calvin thought about it, the more frustrated he became. The

assistant then asked, “So, boss… are you still going to the dinner tomorrow night?”

“No,” Calvin said coldly, “If Grandpa asks, tell him I had to work late and couldn’t attend.”

The assistant chuckled, “Got it.”
