Chapter the Wife 63
Chapter 63 Throwing Sulfuric Acid
Sally collapsed straight into Daniel’s arms.
“Sally, Sally!” Daniel panicked, “What’s wrong? Why are you coughing up so much blood?”
Sally tried to push Daniel away, but he held her tightly. “Sally, I’m taking you to the hospital.”
Hearing the word “hospital,” Sally reacted like a frightened cat, her face turning fierce. “Get off! I’m not going to the hospital. I want to go home now! I’m not going to the hospital.”
But Daniel dragged her out of the cemetery regardless.
When Sally was forced into Daniel’s car, she felt her mind go blank. She felt even worse, but fortunately, she didn’t vomit blood again after getting into the car.
However, Sally still struggled to sit up straight in the back seat.
“Daniel, I’m not going to the hospital,” her voice was sharp, “If you dare take me to the hospital, I’ll die right here and now!”
With that, Sally pulled out a fruit knife from somewhere!
Daniel was startled. “Sally, don’t do anything stupid!”
Sally glared at him angrily. “Let me out of the car right now!”
Finally, Daniel had no choice but to compromise, though he still started the car.
Sally was furious, and Daniel said helplessly, “Sally, if you really don’t want to go to the hospital, I’ll take you home. How about that?”
Sally wanted to refuse, but Daniel added, “It’s hard to get a cab near the cemetery, and you’re not well. Let me take you home. It will save you some time, don’t you think?”
Sally finally stopped resisting and remained silent.
Daniel took this as her agreeing with him.
Neither of them spoke for the rest of the ride, and the atmosphere in the car became awkward.
Daniel knew that he couldn’t rush things with Sally. She had deep resentments against him, and he had to wait until her anger subsided before he could make any moves.
Daniel drove Sally back to her apartment. As she got out of the car, Daniel said somewhat resentfully,” Sally, aren’t you going to invite me in for a drink?”
But Sally decisively turned away without even looking back.
From a distance, Daniel heard her say, “If you want a drink, buy it yourself!”
Daniel smiled helplessly.
It seemed that winning her over was going to be a long journey.
When Sally returned to her apartment, she was shocked to find the living room in a mess!
Her eyes quickly noticed the urn, which had been smashed on the floor!
Sally screamed and rushed over in horror.
The ashes from the urn were scattered everywhere!

Sally broke down, crying uncontrollably.
“Gale, Gale!” Sally cried in sorrow, “Gale…”
Sally was almost unable to speak through her sobs.
Soon, Sally noticed a note next to the scattered ashes!
It was in Mary’s handwriting.
Mary: Sister, you liked Gale, didn’t you? Ha… but he’s dead now. Sister, you should stop thinking about being with him. Since you’re already separated by life and death, why don’t you find a nice day to go to heaven and be with Gale? Families should be together.
Sally found the last sentence odd.
What did Mary mean by “families should be together“?
Sally quickly realized that Mary must have thought she had considered Gale as family, so she wrote this to mock her and provoke her into committing suicide.
Sally’s tears flowed uncontrollably.
Carefully, Sally collected Gale’s ashes back into a container, then resolutely walked out the door.
Sally had nothing left.
She had lost all her family and friends.
Sally took a deep breath.
She had a severe illness and probably wouldn’t live much longer.
Before she died, Sally had to make Mary pay!
That woman valued her looks the most, didn’t she? She made a living off her face, didn’t she?
Sally decided to destroy Mary’s face!
She immediately went to the pharmacy and bought a bottle of acid.
She was going to show Mary what it meant to live in agony!
Sally, with the bottle of acid, went to Mary’s place.
No, to be precise, it was Anders’s place.
Anders and Mary were now living together. Sally was constantly alert to her surroundings. If Anders showed up, she would not hesitate to throw the acid at him too!
Anders didn’t deserve her love.
Sally hid near the villa, waiting.
The security at this villa was very tight, and Sally couldn’t get in.
She was just hoping for a chance today.
To her surprise, her luck was very good today.
After waiting for about ten minutes, she saw Mary come out, dressed to go out.
Perfect timing!
Sally watched Mary closely and, when she was close enough, suddenly jumped out of hiding!

“Ah!” Mary was startled. She was about to curse Sally out but, remembering she was about to go out, quickly smiled. “Sister, what brings you here? Did you miss me?”
Sally tightened her grip on the bottle and, without hesitation, threw the acid at Mary!
“Ah-” Mary screamed and stepped back!
At that critical moment, Anders suddenly appeared and shielded Mary without hesitation!
The acid splashed all over Anders’s back!
Anders screamed in pain.
Sally was stunned.
A flicker of guilt crossed her eyes, but it quickly turned into a cold smile. “Anders, you chose to protect her! You brought this upon yourself!“,
Mary, terrified, supported Anders. “Sally, are you crazy? What did you throw on Anders? Why is his back covered in blood and flesh?”
Sally didn’t waste words. She pulled out the fruit knife from her pocket and stabbed Mary in the shoulder! “Ah-” Mary screamed in pain and collapsed to the ground.
“Mary…” Anders reached out to her, but the severe injury to his back left him too weak to help her.
“Sally, what are you doing?” Anders, enduring the pain, snarled at Sally, “Mary is your sister! How can you be so disgusting? You tried to throw acid on her face!”
“You know it’s acid,” Sally laughed. “Anders, this is what you both deserve.”
“Why are you doing this to us? Why?” Anders looked heartbroken. “Sally, you’ve changed. You’re no longer that pure, innocent girl!”
Sally felt nothing but bitterness. “Anders, after everything you’ve done to me, you expect me to stay pure? You make me sick!”
Mary continued to wail, “Sister, if you have a problem with me, come at me directly. How could you also hurt Anders? You’re despicable…”
