Chapter 44 Laura’s Miscarriage

Just as Laura was about to be overwhelmed by the oppressive atmosphere, Robert suddenly sneered.

“So… the child in your belly is mine, right?” Robert’s eyes remained fixed on Laura.

Laura closed her eyes and gritted her teeth, “No!”

“No? Then why are you so scared? Are you afraid I’ll hurt the child in your belly?” Robert asked mockingly.

Laura trembled, and Robert soon said coldly, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to say it… anyway, I never planned to let you keep this child.”

Laura’s eyes widened instantly!

“What are you going to do…” Laura’s lips trembled as she tried to curl up in the corner, but Robert ignored her, forcefully dragging her up from the floor!

“Ah! Let go of me! Let go of me!” Laura struggled violently, but the difference in strength between men and women was too great, and she was eventually taken away by Robert.

Robert drove Laura to a private hospital. Soon, several doctors came to take Laura to the operating room by force.

Just as they were leaving the prison, a kind prison guard reminded Sally that Anders was actually present when Lilith committed the murder.

Sally’s heart sank.

No wonder Laura refused to tell her if anyone else was present at the crime scene.

It turned out Anders was there!

Laura must have known he wouldn’t testify for her because of Sally, and it would implicate Sally, so she refused to mention it.

After Gale drove away, Sally reopened the door and took a taxi.

Sally arrived at Anders‘ place again.

This time, Barlow didn’t stop her. Instead, he said with a complicated expression,” Madam, please persuade the master.”

It had been a long time since Sally heard this title.

Since Andy’s incident, she and Anders had completely fallen out, so the people around Anders assumed she had no connection with him.

Unexpectedly, Barlow was still willing to call her that.

Sally didn’t ask Barlow much and went upstairs with mixed feelings.

According to Barlow, Anders should be in his room.

She struggled to sit up from the bed and stared at Anders, “Are you serious?”

“I have no reason to lie to you.” Anders said, leaving the room.

Sally started crying sadly.

She never expected that just two hours after leaving the prison, Laura’s baby would be gone!

The culprit was obvious.

Sally cursed Robert in her heart.
