The Whispers of Arcanum

As the sun began to rise over the city, the remaining members of the group gathered together, saying their last goodbyes. They had accomplished their mission, but at a great cost.

Orion spoke up, breaking the silence. “I never thought we’d make it this far. I never thought we’d be able to stop them.”

Nico nodded in agreement. “We’ve come a long way. We’ve lost a lot, but we’ve also gained something important. We’ve gained each other.”

Maya wiped away a tear from her eye. “We’ve been through so much together. We’ve fought and bled and cried together. We’re not just a team, we’re a family.”

Phoenix put a hand on her shoulder. “And as a family, we’ll always be there for each other. We’ll always have each other’s backs, no matter what.”

Eden, who had been silent until now, spoke up. “I know I messed up. I know what I did was wrong. But I want to make it right. I want to help you guys. I want to be a part of this family.”

Orion put a hand on her other shoulder. “You’ve already paid a heavy price for your mistake. But you’ll need to work hard to regain our trust. We’re a family, but trust is the foundation of any family.”

The government betrayed Eden right after Eden betrayed the group. She learned how it felt to be betrayed and then apologized for her wrong-doings.

The group stood there for a moment, the weight of their journey settling heavily upon them. But they also knew that they had each other, and that was something to hold onto.

As they walked away from the scene, the city behind them slowly waking up to a new day, they walked with a sense of purpose. They knew that their journey was far from over, but they were ready for whatever may be ahead. But what was ahead was a great life and what was behind them was a past.

Together, they were unstoppable. Together, they were family. And together, they would face whatever the future held, no matter how uncertain it may be.
