Damn! Who would have thought? I thought with a grin, and Man, that was a shock when I saw Joseph and Duke, our friends walking towards Emilia. That was a big shocker. Just yesterday, they both were chasing Avery, my mate! Now, here they are all up on Emilia. "Thank God," Or I was going to fucking tear them apart, he said with a growl. That is when I heard Axel, my wolf says inside my mind.

"Whoa, calm down, dude," I tell him with a chuckle. But I heard a growl, and I couldn't stop laughing at him inside my mind. "Fuck off, asshole!" He says and leaves. He is probably going to find our mates Wolf and Vela. I rolled my eyes at him. "Dude, what did I miss?" I heard Andrew ask in the open.

But they ignored him. They kept staring at each other it was like they were in a trance. "Yeah, you can say that they're in a trance." I heard Matthew say with a laugh. "Oh, okay, that's enough." I heard Jake bark in a pissed-off voice. I can tell his anger at his sister when she was being mean to our mate. So, she did some awful things to her old best friend. But it doesn't mean anyone could hurt his little sister. Hell, I know I am right behind him.

But Jake and I won't stand back if these assholes hurt Emilia. "Emilia," I heard Duke say with a groan. That was when his mouth opened, and her name escaped it. "Duke? Why- are you doing here." I heard Emilia say in a nervous voice. But we all know this is wild. But the Moon Goddess finds your perfect mate or mate. But it was weird to see a girl who always had the hot for me and the guy that had been after my girl, my mate, and carried her away on top of the hill at his big dark castle.

I thought with an eye roll. So, now watching what's going on in front of us. So, I see Emilia standing her ground. When I see Duke Conaway, he charges over at Emilia and grabs her around the waist. I see Emilia trying to pull his hands off her waist. But she didn't know what hit her. He pulled her in and kissed her. That is when I am staring at them with a shocked look on my face. When I turn my head, I see Avery blushing and smiling over at them. But when she turns her eyes on me. I see her mouth open, and she looks away, bright red.

Well, lookie there, my princess reacts to my stare at her. I thought with a smirk on my lips. Then I stuck out my tongue and licked my lips. I watched her eyes go wide, and she licked her lips. That is when I show her my pearly white teeth. Then she turns her face away from me. She started moving on the bed. She tried to show I was, and the guys were not getting to her.

But we both know we do. I thought with a chuckle. Damn, she is turning me on by her acting all pure and innocent expression on her beautiful face. Fuck! I don't know what brings me almost to my knees when I am around her. It's probably that she is your mate my voice toward me. I wanted to growl at my invoice because I knew it was not my wolf. After all, he disappeared and went with her wolf and Veela. He is probably fucking their brains out.

"Dude, we need to stop and pay attention to my little sister here; she is getting attacked by these two assholes!" He said in my mind. I shook my head because he was right. We have time to make up with Avery but now. But now, we have to make sure no one hurts Emilia.

I know she is bitch and all, but I will not let anything happen to her. I always knew she wanted me. But I thought about her when her brother's face popped into my mind. I stopped, so I never went to her and asked her out. So, I backed off. Now I am glad I did. Because now I see her as my sister. So, even though I don't have a sister. That I know of. I know my parents said it has always been them. But I can't wonder about my dad. He wasn't a prince charming; my mom says he was. I know he had a wild streak in their younger years in high school. I thought with a chuckle.

I let out, and everyone looked my way. I wasn't paying attention to them but only to Avery. I know she can feel my eyes on her because I can see how I affect her when she starts moving around on the bed. By chance, I was watching her. I heard a scream and gasped. It wasn't her, but I took my eyes off her. I saw she was staring at the other side of the room. Because when I follow her eyes. I saw Emilia and Duke in a heated kiss.

But that was when I stuck out my hand when I felt Jake growl and stopped him. "No! I wouldn't do that, I told him." Staring over at them, still kissing. But before he said anything. We heard a bang. We turned to the door that was right in front. I felt someone pull me out of the way. Motherfucker! I thought. I saw Joseph with fire in his eyes running towards them. He grabbed Duke by the neck. He tore him away from Emilia. She opened her eyes and saw Duke ripped away, standing there angry running off him. I see the red-hot fury in his eyes, staring over at Joseph Houser, another friend on the football team.

"J-o-seph why. Why are you here?" He didn't say anything except grab her around the waist and slam his lips down on her. Wow, I am standing there trying to hold back Jake because that's his sister. And two, Jake hates these guys. Even I know they wanted Avery. I knew they could never get her because of me. I am their Alpha and Jake, and Andrew, Matthew. They know better not to cross us. We watch this love fest for too long. We didn't see Avery walking out the door. She disappeared. I am looking around. What the fuck! I thought. I mind-linked the guys.

"Guys, she is gone," I told them. They didn't have to tell me what I already knew. We were out the door in a sec. But even Emilia with them two assholes. I know they won't hurt her. Because if they did. They are dead meat. So, I heard Jake's mind link them. "You hurt her anyway, and you're dead. Got it!" I heard Jake growl with a demand. They shook their heads, and they knew Jake would kill them. So, we left and started following the girl we were all in love with...

By the time we were outside. We find her. She was standing there looking out by the lake. God, she looks beautiful. I can see the moonlight shining down on her beautiful face. I watched her, and I could not keep my eyes off her. But her beauty is breathtaking. But that's when I heard her crying. That was when my heart broke. I didn't want to see her like that. Hell, I didn't want to hear her cry, either. I can't hear any more of her pain; she is crying out. So, I walked up towards her and grabbed her shoulder. I heard her gasp and jumped a little when I touched her.

"Hey, sweetheart," I told her behind her. That is when she stiffs, and I turn her around. I lifted her face to look into my eyes. I saw it. I saw the hurt. Loneliness and hurt and the pain in her tearful eyes. But I saw something else. Something is not right. Before I could think or say anything more to her, I saw her eyes, and she was trying to keep them open. Ouch! I heard her say before her eyes rolled back of her head. She just passed out in my fucking arms.

"Fuck!" I heard Jake say. What the fuck just happened. Why did she pass out? And why did she say her ouch? She is still in my arms. "Elijah, man, we must get her out of here." I heard Jake say. I nodded my head. I picked her up more, carried her away from the lake house, and didn't know if the guys were coming. But I know they are right behind me. Once we got to the cabin. I lay her down inside the covers. She is still out like a light, and I can tell she is asleep, not passed out.

I was looking at her when I heard Andrew say. "Some fucker drugged her?" I heard him growl. I can tell he's pissed off because I feel the same way. "Yeah, we need to kill the bastard who did this to her." I heard Matthew say. "I got an idea who it might be." I heard Jake say with a growl, and I saw a snarl on his face. "But whoever did this." I know one thing they are going to pay." I said with gritted teeth.

"That's a fucking promise!" I heard myself say with a growl, and I heard the guys around me growl about their feeling about what happened to our innocent, pure sweet, and beautiful mate. I sigh and look at her. "I promise you, sweetheart, we will find the person who did this to you," I said in her ear, kissing her forehead. I meant every word I said to her. We will get the person who drugged her and hurt her if I have to chase them for the rest of my life. So be it. That is what I'll do. Once I find them, you will be sure I will make them feel pain with a slow and awful death.
