Francine went berserk again and gripped Sophia's neck.

"I'm going to count to three! Get my grandkids here! I'm going to take them home! If not, I'll break your neck!" she yelled.

She couldn't stop Renee from marrying someone else, but she couldn't tolerate her two grandchildren relying on others' charity like Renee.

It wasn't only about her dignity, but more about the children's growth and mental health. She couldn't be careless. "You're out of your mind! Drive them out of here!"

Sophia was a decent woman who couldn't allow herself to go berserk. Although she had a glib tongue, she found herself unable to handle a figure like Francine.

Francine was never too harsh and would only make a scene. But now, she was out of control and was screaming nonstop.

"Talk it out with them. Don't use violence. We're parents. It's humiliating to be violent," Alexander interrupted. Alexander tried to make Francine calm down and behave herself. Even so, he didn't act accordingly and pushed Jack away as the latter tried to help Sophia.

Francine gripped Sophia's neck tightly and refused to let go. At the same time, their bodyguards fought against each other. They were equally matched.

In the meantime, Alexander whispered to Francine. "Didn't we agree to handle it peacefully? Why did you fight her?"

"What else could I do? Stef didn't come here to snatch his woman back. We can only make a scene until things get out of control, and then this engagement ceremony will be called off!"

While gripping Sophia's neck to make a scene, Francine whispered to Alexander.

She was aware it was impudent to argue and fight others, given her noble status. But things were quite serious. Her hand was forced. Her son had let her down and was too cowardly to snatch his woman back. Hence, she could only abandon her dignity to stop Renee from getting engaged to Justin.

The fight grew more serious. Consequently, the exquisite and luxurious decorations were smashed. The scene became messy and the issue grew out of control.

"Stop now!" Jack yelled anxiously. "The ceremony is about to start! My father is coming too. If he sees you guys make a scene like this, he'll get furious. The consequences will be very serious! Do you have to make all of us suffer?"

For many years, both the Baldwin and Hunt families never fought against each other for real despite their dislike of each other.

If Austin saw the Hunt family openly ruin the engagement ceremony he had been looking forward to for a long time, he wouldn't let it go.

While controlling Sophia, Francine yelled defiantly, "I don't want that either, but what you did was too much! I'll only stop if you guys return my daughter-in-law and grandkids to us!"
