Chapter
Ancient Athens at its height, at the same time as charging one of its greatest military leaders, Alcibiades, with a capital crime (whose penalty was death) absurdly asked him to be one of a three-way group of naval commanders each with equivalent powers, to attack and subdue Sicily. Although Alcibiades prevailed in every battle there under his direct command, internal betrayals and animus in Athens led to the overall war being completely lost against Sicily which quickly combined with assistance from Sparta, with whom Alcibiades also had ties.
Athens itself fell shortly afterwards.
Throughout human history this kind of thing is a never-ending profile to do with the ultimate demise of previously-considered impervious states or eras of various supposedly successful civilisations.
Tragically, the ‘peak moment’ of our civilisation today is characterised by needs that human society never had before: our lifestyles, virtually no matter where we are whether in cities, urban areas or on primary industry land and sea – are dependent on consumer technology.
And it is complex to calculate and assess, and uncertain to say with any good reason from the standard perspective, by what time afterwards, following the ending of some great global conflict or crisis, that things will return to anything like manufacturing industry and consumer technology normalcy – for the ordinary private person’s experience of daily life to roughly be equivalent to what they have today
But is it necessarily the case that there will and that there must be some huge global catastrophe, largely brought about by the nature of politics as it always is in the hands of governing human systems and very flawed if ego-enamoured minds?
It doesn’t matter!
The mere fact that continuous radical differences dominate human thinking at the highest political levels across the globe, means that it is not really a (IE one) human society as such in a ‘planetary’ sense at all... In fact that is the principal reason no advanced intelligent species from elsewhere advertises themselves to ‘the human world’ at large. There is no such thing as ’the human world.′ And since truly divided, it – the human evolution or historical trajectory of its civilisation - cannot progress further now. It must fail and it must fall.
But that advanced intelligent people from somewhere else can and that they do, make themselves known in rare and very wide-apart global instances is something you ought to entertain as a logical matter.
And then, because of the very clear fact of the distances of galactic space and the physics entailed in being able to transit across such space and time – access to technology is always available to such rare small groups of human people.
It isn’t gold you need to have or to accumulate for bad times ahead. It is certain rare people that you need to find and know and get closer to right away. And they are easy to find. To a certain extent you are them a little bit on the inside yourself.
There is no politician, or mainstream academic, or finance maven anywhere on the planet that would read this piece or bother about it or credit it in any way.
LOL
They are all too busy ensuring that nuclear deterrence against Hamas or Iran or Russia or someone, is honed to a fine point. That way they are protecting you, right...
Not to mention they have to see to it that you go to work to pay their taxes. But it’s okay because at least your property prices (value to you) are going up all the time. They are -, right. Just believe it.
After all those guys have a lot of credibility, right.
Me, I am talking incredible stuff about Aliens fergawdsakes.
Come on now, who will you believe.
