Chapter 32
Chapter 32 He’s a Womanizer
As they conversed. Gaspard led Patrick into the backyard garden of the banquet hall, creating a secluded space for their discussion. Their conversation remained private; no one knew what they discussed. Upon their return to the banquet hall, Gaspard effortlessly merged with the crowd, while Patrick made a direct path toward Gwyneth.
“Ms. Glen, it’s a pleasure to meet you,” Patrick greeted.
Gwyneth furrowed her brows slightly as she examined the unfamiliar face before her. She glanced at Wesley, who shook his head. indicating that he too was clueless about Patrick’s Identity.
Sensing Gwyneth’s confusion, Patrick let out a hearty laugh, attempting to alleviate the awkwardness.
The scene was somewhat amusing, to say the least. A man nearing his fifties feeling jittery in the presence of a woman in her twenties. despite both holding high–ranking positions.
“It’s understandable that you don’t recognize me. After all, I worked with Glen Corporation when your father was in charge,” Patrick explained.
Upon hearing this, Gwyneth chuckled inwardly, thinking, “What kind of approach is this? Does he expect me to address him as ‘Uncle? Too bad his introduction missed the mark.‘ Gwyneth replied, extending her wine glass to Wesley, “May I ask how I should address you?”
If Patrick had introduced himself by name, she would have been ready to conclude this meeting already.
Meanwhile, Patrick retrieved a business card from his suit pocket and handed it over.
“Ultimately, I hope for an opportunity to collaborate with Glen Corporation again,‘ Patrick expressed.
“Thank you, Mr. Judson, for considering the opportunity. I’m also looking forward to it,” Gwyneth graciously responded.
With that, their conversation concluded. Gwyneth had no intention of prolonging the discussion, and Patrick seemed at a loss for words, unsure of how to proceed.
Wesley promptly Intervened, seizing the moment and finding an excuse to steer Gwyneth away. “Boss, what was that all about? He claimed to have worked with your father right in front of you.”
“The world never fails to surprise.” Gwyneth remarked, grabbing the half–empty glass of champagne from Wesley and downing its contents in one gulp. She smoothly slipped Patrick’s business card into Wesley’s hand.
About an hour later, the banquet approached its end.
Throughout the evening, Gwyneth found herself overwhelmed by a deluge of business cards, leaving her feeling exhausted. Desiring respite, she sought solace in a secluded corner, hoping to evade any further encounters.
‘Boss, you should take a break,” Wesley suggested as they were making their way out of the banquet hall.
Wesley’s words elicited a chuckle from Gwyneth. In truth, she could afford to take a break if she wanted to. However, having recently acquired Glen Corporation, the timing wasn’t quite right. She knew all too well the type of person Gaspard was.
When they left the banquet hall, Wesley proceeded to retrieve the car while Gwyneth waited near the entrance. However, after a minute had passed, it wasn’t Wesley who arrived, but Henry. “Ms. Glen, may I have the honor of giving you a ride?”
Gwyneth looked at him, struggling to decipher Henry’s intentions. Under normal circumstances, as Liam’s friend, he should have been aware of her identity. It was one thing to exchange pleasantries, but he seemed to dismiss any reservations. She wondered if he wasn’t afraid of Liam finding out he was trying to make a move on her.
“Mr. Munroe, I appreciate the offer. However, my car has already arrived, so there’s no need to trouble you.” Gwyneth responded. Without awaiting Henry’s reply, she deftly brushed past his shoulder and slipped into the car driven by Wesley.
“Boss, isn’t that person the CEO of Euphoria Entertainment?” Wesley asked.
*Do you know him?” Gwyneth inquired.
Gwyneth reclined in her seat, leaning back with a distant expression in her eyes. While she could navigate such social occasions elfortlessly, it didn’t mean she enjoyed them. The maneuvering between people, coupled with the mutual understanding of pretense, left her feeling profoundly fatigued.

“I wouldn’t say I’m well–acquainted with him, but his infamous romantic history is something that very few people in showbiz are unaware of,” Wesley replied, stealing a glance at Gwyneth through the rearview mirror. He casually turned on the car’s music, filling the air with soothing melodies to help alleviate her nerves. “Regardless, it’s better to keep a distance from him. Who knows what his true intentions
are.”
Gwyneth chuckled softly in response to Wesley’s concerns. Sensing an upcoming turn ahead, she spoke calmly. “Let’s head to the office.”
For a moment, Wesley thought he had misheard her, but upon catching Gwyneth’s gaze, he quickly adjusted their route. Although he was puzzled by her sudden decision to go to the office late at night, he dutifully followed her instructions without further inquiry.
In the CEO’s office of AMC Group. Gwyneth settled into her chair, flipping through the Glen Corporation’s documents. Initially, she hadn’t planned to resolve the situation with Glen Corporation so quickly, but Patrick’s sudden appearance today had changed her mind. Moreover, she had caught sight of Gaspard in the crowd, a man who would seek revenge even from his own daughter.
“Delegate some of AMC’s contractual affairs to the Marketing and Administration Directors. I need you to handle this,” Gwyneth instructed.
Wesley quickly stepped forward and noticed the organizational chart of Glen Corporation spread out on the desk. Each individual,
including those with shares, was marked in red, denoting the resources they controlled.
“While Gaspard was the former CEO of Glen Corporation, there are many intricate relationships hidden beneath the surface. Help me sort
them out,” Gwyneth stated, rising from her seat and stretching languidly, unable to conceal her exhaustion.
