Chapter 26
Afini to was the first to charge in, with lightning flowing out of his body he rushed to the Dark Sorcerer and delivered blows so power they shook the earth and made the air echo thunder.
Alaelra while Afini battled the Dark Sorcerer noticed Amasu on the floor bounded down by the magic of the Dark Sorcerer and so she freed him using her magic.
“You have to get out of here, run away as fast as you can” said Alaelra to Amasu.
“No, that monster had my father reduced to a pile of bones, I will not rest still I have my revenge and his blood flowed down from my blood” said Alaelra as he raised his sword high wanting to join Afini battle the Dark Sorcerer so he could have his revenge on him for killing his father.
“I can’t let you do that” said Alaelra realizing that Amasu was Delamu’s son.
“You are not the boss of me” said Amasu as he brought out his sword against Alaelra.
“If you will not allow me get my revenge I’ll have no choice but to attack you” said Amasu.
Alaelra looked in to the child’s eyes and understood his pain, he had just watched his father die right in front of him and now he feels like he has to be the one to end life of Dark Sorcerer to get revenge for his father’s death.
“Look child I understand you are angry and you feel like you have to fight but if you fight this battle it would be the end of your death just like your father. Now child if your father was here right now would he want you to die fight just to avenge him” asked Alaelra.
Amasu upon hearing what Alaelra said sighed, knowing she was right, father won’t want him to end his life fighting in a battle he knew he could not win and would probably die fighting so he put away his and looked Alaelra in her eyes.
“Please I have only one request make and that is for you to make that monster pay for everything he has done and if you can make his death as slow and painful as possible, do it” these were the last words Amasu said to Alaelra before he left hoping that she and Afini would end the Dark Sorcerer’s reign of terror and bloodshed.
Alaelra sighed knowing that neither she nor Afini had the power to stop the Dark Sorcerer they could only by time at most and possibly free the king from him but stopping him for good was beyond their power.
Afini attacked the Dark Sorcerer with his lightning filled fists, delivering a devastating blow that caused the ground underneath to break and tear apart but despite the fact Afini attacked with his full strength, it did nothing to harm the Dark Sorcerer who just stood still holding the fist Afini used to attack him.
“You still don’t understand storm maker” said the Dark Sorcerer before using his magic to send Afini flying crashing straight into a wall from one of houses in the kingdom.
The Dark Sorcerer then made the house Afini crashed into collapse on top of him, burying Afini under a pile of rubble that formed as the house collapsed.
The Dark Sorcerer then went to the pile of rubble and lifted Afini from it using his magic.
“You can’t win this battle” said the Dark Sorcerer looking at Afini with his demon like red eyes before he began to use his magic to cause an immense amount of pain to floor through Afini’s body, causing the storm maker to scream and shout out in immense pain.
The Dark Sorcerer smiled as derived pleasure from hearing Afini scream in pain but then a ball of magic flew from behind the Dark Sorcerer struck him from behind.
The Dark Sorcerer stopped inflicting pain upon Afini causing to fall down to the ground, weak and in far too much pain to continue to fight.
The Dark Sorcerer then turned around to see who had attacked him from behind and it was none other than Alaelra who stood behind him.
Alaelra saw Afini on the fall weaken and in tremendous pain, seeing the man she loved in that kind of condition drove Alaelra mad with rage causing her to attack the Dark Sorcerer with everything she had with the intention to make him pay for everything he had done to her and her family.
Alaelra attacked firing blast after blast of her raw magic but her attack did not seem to even faze the Dark Sorcerer who just walked towards not trying to avoid or dodge any of her attacks, receiving each and every magic attack Alaelra brought his way.
The Dark Sorcerer finally reached her and then grabbed her by the neck with an ice cold grip.
“Before I kill you and then your husband I need something from, the location of the king’s daughter. I need her for my revenge to be complete” said the Dark Sorcerer.
Alaelra then looked in to his lifeless evil red glowing eyes and said, “Never”.
“I knew that would be your reaction, it’s a good thing that there is more than one way to get the information I want from you” said the Dark Sorcerer before he used his dark magic on Alaelra trying to corrupt and bend her will to his control once again.
Alaelra fought hard and tried to fight the Dark Sorcerer’s magic but his magic was too strong for her and slowly she felt herself falling under the control of the Dark Sorcerer once again but just as Alaelra was about to fully corrupted and under the control of the Dark Sorcerer a bolt of lightning struck him causing to free Alaelra from his ice cold grasp.
Alaelra then fell down to the ground weakened and drained as it to almost all the strength she had to resist the Dark Sorcerer’s control.
The Dark Sorcerer then turned around and saw Afini standing behind him, Afini was weak and drained of almost all his strength using whatever little strength he had to stay up on his feet.
“You just don’t know when to stay down storm maker” said the Dark Sorcerer as he fired a red light made of pure dark magic which destroyed everything in its path as it raced out of the Dark Sorcerer’s hands and straight for Afini.
The red light would have completely destroyed Afini leaving only behind a pile of his ashes if it hit him but luckily he was protected by a magical barrier created by Alaelra using whatever little strength she could mutter.
Alaelra then looked at her husband with her eyes feeling too weak to stay open, telling him with her eyes that the both of them were too weak and drained of their strength to win against the Dark Sorcerer.
Afini understood what Alaelra was trying to say and then he sighed deeply knowing that they were not going to see their beloved children after the battle was over.
They might have a chance to win against the Dark Sorcerer but it meant using up the little strength that they had in an attack that may prove to be fatal for both Afini and Alaelra but if doing that meant they might be rid of the evil known as the Dark Sorcerer they had to do it as the Dark Sorcerer was a threat that should be stopped at all cost even if it meant losing their lives.
Afini took a deep breath and summon ever last bit he had left before charging straight for the Dark Sorcerer, moving as fast as lightning and grabbing hold of him.
Then before the Dark Sorcerer could try to stop Afini he summoned a massive bolt of lightning from the sky that struck the both of them and prevented him from moving.
“DO IT NOW ALEALRA!!!!” screamed Afini with a voice that echoed like thunder.
A tear fell down from her eyes as Alaelra knew that after this neither she nor Afini would be alive.
Alaelra then took a deep breath and summoned every ounce of strength and magic she possessed her eyes then began to glow with sparks of magic flowing through her entire body.
“E CHI!!!!!” screamed Alaelra and then a powerful destructive wave of pure magic flowed out of her hands and straight for Afini and the Dark Sorcerer, completely engulfing the both Afini and the Dark Sorcerer within it.
The wave was so immense and destructive that it reduced all the homes and builds around them in to dust with a massive explosion.
When it was all over Alaelra fell down to the ground, weakened and completely drained of every single once of strength she had, she was far too weak to get up, maintain her vision or even continue to breath.
The spell she used was dangerous not just because of its ability to wreak havoc and destruction but also because it drains the life force of whatever uses it and Alaelra just used every single ounce of her life force casting the spell.
Alaelra now had nothing left and knew that she was about to take her last breath but before she did she saw with her now blurred up vision a figure that emerged from the smoke and dust created by the destructive spell she had just cast.
Alaelra's eyes then widened as she realized who it was, it was the Dark Sorcerer, and somehow he had survived the attack.
She tried to get up, trying to summon whatever strength she had left but she had nothing left.
She looked at the Dark Sorcerer who was smiling with a wicked grin on his face, mocking her and Afini’s fibble attempt to stop him.
Alaelra would have cursed him at that very moment if she had any strength left, feeling enraged and disgusted by the Dark Sorcerer and the way he smiled at her.
Finally, Alaelra closed her eyes in death, having used every single ounce of her power to try and stop the Dark Sorcerer alongside Afini who had also died because of the destructive spell she had cast as he and the Dark Sorcerer were completely engulfed by the destructive wave created by the spell but somehow the Dark Sorcerer survived.
And now with both Alaelra and Afini dead there was nobody left to stop the Dark Sorcerer and he was now free to do whatever wicked or vile acts his heart wished to commit.
The Dark Sorcerer then walked up to the king who was still suspended in the air thanks to that Dark Sorcerer’s magic with a wicked smile on his face.
“There is no one left to save you king, your fate and the fate of everyone else in this kingdom is now in my hands, I have all the power now and you have nothing, tell me king how does it fell to have everything stripped away from you. I’m sure it must be very unpleasant” said the Dark Sorcerer.
“You can torture and torment me all you want, at least my daughter is far away from you and that fact alone will give me the strength to endure whatever form of punishment and torture you bring me” said the king with a smile on his face.
The Dark Sorcerer was enraged by the fact that the king was smiling in his presence so much so that he used his magic to inflict tremendous pain upon him.
Even though the king felt a pain that was equal to the kind felt when the entire skin of a man was torn apart with a sharp blade and then dipped with burning acid he still smiled with tears falling down from his eyes as he screamed from the tremendous pain.
And even though the Dark Sorcerer now had the king and could torment and torture as he wished he felt as though his revenge would never be complete without king’s daughter as he wanted to make the king watch as he ended her life, he wanted the king to suffer pain in its truest form but without the king’s daughter he couldn’t and that made the Dark Sorcerer mad with rage.
