Chapter 20
Anja and Braiba were about to leave for Buganbal to confirm whether or not the storm maker and the sorceress Tari spoke of were indeed their parents with Anja greatly doubting that they were their parents.
“I’m still not so sure about this, what if mom and dad find out” asked Anja feeling a little hesitant to go to Buganbal, fearing that their parents might find out.
“It’s the only way to know if mother and father are the one the princess spoke of” said Braiba.
“What about the princess, we can’t just leave her here alone, what if she wakes up?” asked Anja.
“She’ll be fine, she fast asleep in my room and I don’t think she’ll be waking up anytime soon” said Braiba.
“Fine but I still don’t think it’s a good idea to go back there especially after the way the Buganbalians treated us the last time we were there” said Anja.
“Yes but not all Buganbalians are bad, take Amasu for example, he fought alongside us and even defended us when his own people were against us” said Braiba.
“Amasu is a fool that only thinks about fighting” said Anja.
“He reminds me of certain temperamental storm maker I know” said Braiba with a playful.
“Don’t ever compare me to that Buganbalian” said Anja enraged that Braiba thought that he and Amasu had something in common.
Braiba then smiled at her brother as she thought about how similar he and Amasu were.
They were so similar that the only true difference between them when it came to their characters was that Anja tended to me more aggressive and temperamental than Amasu.
Braiba as she thought about how similar Anja and Amasu were she could help but think about how charming and handsome he looked, Braiba would be lying if she said she wasn’t starting to take a special liking to Amasu.
“Do we have to go to that forsaken kingdom called Buganbal” said Anja bring Braiba out of her train of thought.
“We have to, it’s the only way to find out what’s going on with our parents” said Braiba.
Anja then sighed, knowing that Braiba had a point, even though he still believed his parents were in Buganbal it still wouldn’t hurt to go to Buganbal and check for them.
“Fine but once you see that mother and father aren’t there we are leaving” said Anja.
Amasu nodded her head, agreeing with Anja.
Braiba then brought out her hand for Anja to hold.
Anja then held on to her hand and then Braiba used her magic teleport them away to Buganbal with a flash of blinding light.
Once there, in Buganbal they felt their jaw drop as they gasped upon seeing the horrific state Buganbal was in with creatures roaming the streets and terrorizing the people, leave a trail of chaos, misery and destruction.
The entire kingdom of Buganbal echoed with screams of fear and horror as the frighten people ran, blood stained the streets with the dismembered body parts of people devoured by some of the beasts and monsters that roamed about.
It was truly a horrific sight to behold, even Anja who hated the people of Buganbal with all his heart felt, bad for them as he heard them as they screamed and ran for their lives from the beast.
“What happened here?” asked Anja.
Braiba then turned to her brother who stood still watching the carnage of Buganbal in the hands of the beast.
She then held his hand, knowing he was frozen with both shock and horror as he wondered how monsters that horrifying and blood thirsty made their way to Buganbal.
“Come on Anja, let’s go look for mother and father” said Braiba.
Braiba and Anja began to journey in to the monster filled kingdom to check if their parents where in the kingdom or not.
