The Sorcerer and Storm Maker

Chapter 16

Alaelra slowly opened her eyes and regained her consciousness.

She then saw Delamu lying down on conscious on the floor not too far from her.

She then got up from the bed and went to Delamu and used her magic to revive him and help him regain consciousness.

“What happened, why are you on the floor?” asked Alaelra to Delamu.

Delamu then began to recall how Afini attacked him and struck with a lightning bolt.

“It was Afini, he attacked me for some reason” said Delamu.

Alaelra then remember Afini and how his eyes glowed red before he kissed and struck her down with his lightning.

“It’s the Dark Sorcerer, somehow he managed to get into Afini’s mind and take control over him” said Alaelra.

“That’s terrible news. That demon was already immensely powerful with a literal army of monsters and now that he has a storm maker under his control there’s no telling what he can do” said Delamu with a mix of fear and worry.

Alaelra then began to sense something that filled her with fear and terror, even sending a cold chill down her spine; it was the presence of the Dark Sorcerer she sensed nearby, inside that castle.

“The Dark Sorcerer, he’s here” said Alaelra with a fear and terror in her eyes.

Delamu felt the same was as her, the Dark Sorcerer’s magic was too strong for them and with a heart so cold and lifeless he was far worse than any monster Delamu faced in his youth and that utterly terrified him right down to his core.

“Come, we have to find the king, if the Dark Sorcerer gets to him there is no telling what he would do to him” said Delamu.

Alaelra nodded her head, agreeing with Delamu that they had to find the king before the Dark Sorcerer little did they know the Dark Sorcerer already has not only the king but his daughter as well.

Alaelra and Delamu they then left the room in search of the king.

The first place Delamu thought to look was the king was his daughter’s room knowing he would want to be with her to protect her from any threat that came towards her.

He then took Alaelra to Tari’s room hoping to find both the king and Tari the king’s daughter there but once they reached there they gasped in shock and horror upon.

The room was a mess with scorch masks on the walls and ground.

They then saw Afini on the ground unconscious covered score marks and a few injuries.

“Afini” said Alaelra as she rushed to him with tears in her eyes.

Delamu then looked up to the roof and saw a massive hole there.

Delamu then realized what must have happened, he then turned to Alaelra and saw that she was about to heal Afini from his wounds and possible help him regain consciousness.

Delamu then went to her and stopped her from healing him.

“What are you doing Delamu, I have to heal him” said Alaelra.

“I can’t let you” said Delamu.

“What? But he is you friend, someone you consider a brother. Why don’t you want me to heal him?” asked Alaelra shocked and confused as to why Delamu was stopping her from healing Afini.

“What you say is true and it is because of the friendship I and Afini share I cannot let you heal him” said Delamu.

“But why?” asked Alaelra.

“Because you would just be adding to our problems, The Dark Sorcerer has control of not just an army of monsters but Afini as well. Afini must have understood that he was a threat in the current state he was in and so he must have struck himself with a lightning bolt so the Dark Sorceress could not use him to in him evil plans” said Delamu.

Alaelra looked around, seeing the scorch marks formed by Afini’s lightning bolts and realized that what Delamu was saying was the truth and Afini really chose to strike himself down with a lightning bolt to stop the Dark Sorcerer from using him to achieve his wicked plans.

“Oh my love” said Alaelra as she kissed his forehead softly

Alaelra then turned to Delamu and with her eyes filled with rage, anger and pure hatred she said, “I’ll make that monster pain for what he did to Afini”.

“I as well, he took over the mind of my closest friend, there is no way I’m going to spare his life” said Delamu with just as much hatred as Alaelra.

The two of them then left the room with Afini still lying down on conscious on the floor.

Alaelra could sense the Dark Sorcerer dark magic coming from the king’s room so she and Delamu made their way there.

Once there they saw the king and his daughter being with the Dark Sorcerer who seemed to be focused more on the king than his daughter.

They hide themselves at the entrance of the room so the Dark Sorcerer wouldn’t see them.

Delamu was about to draw his sword out and attack seeing as the Dark Sorcerer was distracted as he focused all hi attention on the king.

Alaelra saw that Delamu was about to attack and she stopped him knowing that it would be unwise to attack the Dark Sorcerer while he had the king and his daughter with him as he could easily kill them both without a second thought if he wished.

“We can’t attack him like that without some kind of a plan or have you forgotten how he easily took down me and Afini” whispered Alaelra so the dark sorcerer wouldn’t hear them.

Delamu then put away his sword.

“What do you suggest we do then” whispered Delamu.

Alaelra then looked back in to the room and saw the king and his daughter and frightened they looked.

Alaelra then understood that the first they needed to do was get the king and his daughter away from the Dark Sorcerer, once the king and his daughter were safe then she and Delamu could find a way to deal with the Dark Sorcerer.

“We need to get the king and his daughter out of there” said Alaelra.

“Do you have plan?” asked Delamu.

“I do, just follow my lead” said Alaelra.

“Tonjura illumina” whispered Alaelra softly casting a spell, and then a ball of light began to form on her hands.

“What are you planning on doing with that” asked Delamu.

“You’ll see” said Alaelra.

Alaelra then threw the ball into the room.

The Dark Sorcerer saw the ball but before he could do anything about it the ball exploded with a blinding light that engulfed everything in the room.

The Dark Sorcerer was now blinded by the light and so he freed the king from magical hold on him.

“Come, let’s get them out of here before the Dark Sorcerer regains his vision” said Alaelra.

Delamu and Alaelra then went in to the room to get the king and his daughter.

Alaelra went to the king who was lying on the floor first and spoke softly so the Dark Sorcerer wouldn’t hear them.

“My lord” said Delamu.

“Delamu is that you?” asked Atoni as he was blinded by the light and unable to see Delamu and Alaelra.

“It’s me and the Sorceress is here as well” said Delamu.

Alaelra then placed her hand on his eyes and used her magic to heal his eyes and give him back his sight.

“Thank you Sorceress” said Atoni.

“Come on your majesty let’s get you out of here” said Alaelra.

“No, help my daughter” said Atoni.

“But your majesty…” Delamu was cut off mid-sentence by Atoni saying, “I care about anything just get my daughter far away from here and that mad man”.

Delamu and Alaelra after seeing the worry and fear on the king’s face as he spoke to them they remained and agreed to do what he said knowing exactly how he felt because they were parents as well and they too would do the same thing to protect their children.

Delamu and Alaelra then left the king and went to his daughter.

Tari was blinded by the light as well and her blindness made her even more frighten and afraid than she already was.

“Princess Tari, it’s me Delamu” Delamu spoke softly in an attempt to ease away the fear she felt.

“I’m scared Delamu, I can’t see anything” said Tari.

Alaelra then went to her and said, “I can help you regain your sight princess”.

Alaelra then placed her hands on Tari’s eyes and then used her magic to heal her.

“How did you…” Tari’s sentence was cut short by Alaelra saying, “I’m sorceress dear”.

Tari then became scared of Alaelra upon hearing she was a sorcerer as she worried that she was she feared that Alaelra was like the Dark Sorcerer and was there to hurt her and her father.

Alaelra could sense Tari’s fear for her as the princess looked at her with horrified look on her face.

“I promise I won’t hurt you” said Alaelra attempting to gain Tari’s trust so her fear for her would disappear.

Tari hesitated to take Alaelra’s hand fearing that she would harm her if she did.

The Dark Sorcerer who was still blinded slowly began to regain his sight as he was being healed by his dark magic.

Soon his sight was back and then he turned around and Delamu and Alaelra with princess Tari.

“Sorceress” said the Dark Sorcerer enrage upon seeing Alaelra.

The Dark Sorcerer then attacked her with his magic but the before his magic reach her the Atoni got up and stood in front of Alaelra and allowed the Dark Sorcerer’s magic hit him instead of Alaelra.

“Father” said Tari upon seeing her father being hit by the Dark Sorcerer’s magic.

Tari was about to go to him but Alaelra grabbed hold of her arm and stopped her.

“Let go of me, I have to go to my father” said Tari as she struggled to free herself from Alaelra’s tight grip.

Alaelra could let her go as it would only put her in more danger, the Dark Sorcerer’s heart was colder than ice was willing to hurt anyone if it meant getting what he wanted even if the person was a defenseless child, like Tari.

Alaelra knew she needed to get Tari out of there to keep her safe from the Dark Sorcerer.

Alaelra then used her magic to teleport she and Tari away from the castle, to a place she felt the Tari would be safe.

“NOOOO!!!!!!!!” screamed the Dark Sorcerer filled with rage and anger because Tari escaped.

The king smiled happily because he daughter was safe, he did not mind dying in the hands of the Dark Sorcerer, all he cared about was his daughter and the fact that she was safe with Alaelra put his mind at peace.

The king then fell to the ground in tremendous pain thanks to the Dark Sorcerer’s magic but still he smiled did not fade away.
