Chapter Demanding Visitors
Suddenly I felt a stiffness against my butt. That woke me up. Unfortunately he was still sleeping, and starting to rub against me. I slapped his hip and told him, "It's time for the rest of you to get up, and give me a little space."
He pulled me tighter against him. "I'm never letting you go."
I slapped him again, harder this time.
"Owe, what was that for?" Alpha Nolan grumbled.
"Ignoring me." I replied, "Now go to the bathroom or something to deal with your morning wood."
He released me and sat up. "Sorry."
I laughed. "No need to apologize, just hurry, because I need to pee too."
Alpha Nolan climbed out of bed and grabbed my robe as he rushed out of the room. The moment he was back I rushed to the bathroom.
I came back to the room to find my Alpha resting against the head board. I closed the door and whispered, "We need to talk."
His eyes popped open. "Is something wrong? I didn't..."
I cut him off as I sat next to him. "I saw some things last night, in my dreams, concerning you, and I want to make sure they're accurate."
"What did you see?" He asked.
So, I told him everything I had seen the night before.
"It's all true." He informed me.
"What I don't understand is I saw you take your son from his mother." I stated, "But my Bro said she's raising him to think he's an Alpha."
Alpha Nolan explained, "I hid him with my mother, who was already in hiding. She did most of his care, but my brother helped. I couldn't go there very often without risking him. When my mom died my brother returned my son to his mom."
"Wow."
"I wasn't happy about it, but he was only eight. I didn't want to raise him Rogue, and I didn't have another plan." Alpha Nolan stated sadly.
I pulled him into a hug. After a few minutes I asked, "Are you in the mood for breakfast?"
"I can't eat when I first get up." He admitted, "But maybe by the time it's finished cooking I could be."
I laughed, grabbed my bra, put it on, and then grabbed my hat and placed it on my head. "Throw some pants on, and let's get cooking." I instructed before dashing out the door.
He joined me in the kitchen a few minutes later. "I can make omelets if you want to handle the pancakes."
"I'm thinking waffles." I informed him, "But sounds like a deal."
With that we went to work. Everything flowed naturally, we stepped around each other with ease, and it felt like we'd always been a team.
The others woke up and were served as they did. Aaron cautiously took his plate and declared, "I've never heard of an Alpha and Luna making food for those under them, let alone an Omega like me."
"In case you haven't noticed, we're not normal." Alpha Nolan joked.
"Besides, once we make our posse official there won't be an Omega rank." I pointed out.
Anna claimed, "We'll still be the new bottom rank."
I gave her a puzzled look. "Who says?"
"That's our place in life." Aaron responded, "And we're okay with that."
I sighed. "I understand that is how the werewolves have done things, but quite frankly I think both the wolves and the Hunters have it wrong, and we're going to do things differently."
"How?" My Bro asked.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I haven't had time to figure that out yet. Every time I turn around something new is going on."
"When the time is right we'll know what to do." Alpha Nolan assured me.
"You do some of your best thinking in the spur of the moment." Cousin Richard added.
Alpha Nolan and I served ourselves and took our seats.
After breakfast Cousin Richard and my Beta Bro were washing dishes, while Aaron and Anna were cleaning the table and sweeping the floor. I was in my room getting in my day clothes when a knock boomed through the cabin. I took a deep breath and rushed out to deal with the intrusion.
Cousin Richard was holding the door open as five people stood on the porch. Both the men wanted to enter first, but neither wanted to touch the other, or concede to the other.
I laughed at them. "Either enter or leave, but don't waste my time." I ordered.
Both the men stepped through, sideways, so they didn't touch, and were staring at each other. The older women did the same thing. When the young woman stepped through on her own I froze, staring at her, I asked, "What's your name?"
"Grace." She answered quietly.
I informed her, "I need to talk to you."
"You're not talking to my daughter without me!" One of the men yelled.
I looked at him. "You are?"
"Nate Stalker." He replied.
I looked at the woman standing defiantly beside him.
"Stacy Stalker." She volunteered.
I nodded my head. Then I turned to the other couple.
"I'm Alpha Jared." The man stated, "This is my mate, Luna Brenda."
"Nice to meet you all." I claimed.
"It would be nicer if you weren't turning the House of Shade into the home of Evil." Stacy snapped.
Luna Brenda glared at her. "Enemies don't belong living together, that's the only thing we agree on."
"Enough!" I yelled.
Everyone was silent.
"No one in this cabin is the enemy of anyone else in this cabin. If you want to hang on to animosity, you can just leave." I said angrily.
"What would you like to talk to me about?" Grace asked quietly.
I smiled at her, and held my hand out. She stepped forward and took it. I turned and lead her to my room.
"How old are you?" I asked as I closed the door and indicated for her to take a seat.
"I'll be eighteen next week." She answered.
I took a deep breath and asked, "Have you chosen a match?"
Grace shook her head. "No one makes me feel complete. Not that I've met anyway."
"Did you know that I've been blessed with many gifts, one of them being the ability to see true mates?" I asked.
She shook her head. "Must be nice for the wolves."
I chuckled. "It doesn't just work on the wolves. When I touched your hand I saw who will make you whole."
Grace perked up. "Will you tell me who?"
I nodded my head. "But you'll need an open mind to pursue a relationship."
"It's a wolf." She guessed.
I went to my Luna folder and pulled out the sheet on Alpha Jace. I handed the page to her. "He's a good guy. Both of you have someone you would settle with, but wouldn't make you happy. Or you can be with each other and know real love."
"My parents will never accept this." She admitted sadly.
"Am I your Luna?" I asked bluntly.
She nodded her head.
"Then if you choose to pursue the relationship God intended for you, I will keep you here, and even introduce you."
She smiled. "I can live with my Luna, and have love?"
I laughed and nodded my head.
"Thank you!" She exclaimed as she engulfed me in a hug.
"So, I'm going to take that as a yes." I stated with a chuckle.
She replied, "Definitely." Then she released me.
"I'll have Richard set you up in my first room." I told her, "Since even if they missed some silver it won't effect you."
She gave me a confused look.
"She's been blessed by the Moon goddess, and needs to embrace her calling!" Luna Brenda yelled.
Stacy screamed back, "The Sun god is the one who blessed her, and she must serve him!"
"Stay here." I told Grace.
Then I reached in the drawer of my bedside table and pulled out my Bible. I stormed out of my room, barely containing my rage.
Richard had moved them to the dining table, each couple standing at opposite ends, with chairs pushed out from standing quickly.
"She will serve the Moon goddess." Alpha Jared declared.
I slammed my Bible down in the middle of the table. All eyes turned to me. "I serve the God of the Bible, and that's it! God created everything, including werewolves and Hunters. I don't know why, or how you came to follow False gods." I roared at them, "But I decide who I follow, not anyone else, and I follow the one true God!!"
"How can you turn your back on the one who made your kind?" Luna Brenda asked.
I glared at her. "The moon goddess, whoever they are, didn't make anything. Only God can create. They have mislead your kind for generations, but I wasn't raised in the lie, and know the truth."
"I'm taking my family, and we're leaving!" Nate declared.
I responded, "You and your wife are free to leave. Grace is under my protection, and will be staying here."
"You can't!" Stacy yelled.
"I'm the Luna Hunter." I reminded her, "I can, I did, and I will continue to do so."
Nate started towards my room.
"Stop!" I commanded.
He froze in place.
"Go home!" I ordered.
The four intruders walked out the front door of the cabin, and towards their respective homes.
I turned to the others. "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to discuss adding Grace to the house with everyone, but it's important that she stays here."
"I think I speak for us all." Cousin Richard replied, "When I say that we trust your judgment, and would follow any decision you make."
"Well, technically I am leading beside you." Alpha Nolan joked, "But I know you made the right choice."
I smiled. "Now I just need to get Alpha Jace to come for a visit."
"I'll handle that." My Bro volunteered. Then he grabbed his keys and left.
