The Rogue Alpha

Chapter Back at the Cabin

When I got to the cabin I was still furious. My Bro was waiting for me, standing by his car. I ran to him in my wolf form. He grabbed me and pulled me into a hug. I returned to my human form while still being embraced.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Luna Eleanor banished a couple for what I told them to do." I practically yelled in his ear, "I warned her, and now I have to punish her."

"Not while your emotions are in control." He replied.

I groaned and let my head rest on his shoulder. He gently rubbed my back. After about ten minutes I lifted my head and stepped back.

"How did you know I needed you?" I asked.

My Bro laughed and explained, "Sammy Sam and I were hanging out, when suddenly I was consumed by rage. It took me a moment to realize it wasn't mine, but yours. Then I felt a pull towards home, and realized I meant here. So, I got in my car, and arrived a few minutes before you. I could tell how close you were from the strength of your rage."

"I guess this connection we have is getting stronger the more I learn about myself." I stated sadly.

My Bro grabbed me in a sideways hug. "That should be a good thing."

I sighed. "Our bond is always a good thing, but I just asserted my place as the Luna Hunter, and have to deal with new bonds from there. Oh, and we now have two Omegas in our pack."

"I think you've got an exciting day to tell me about." My Bro declared with a chuckle.

"You're not the only one." Alpha Nolan stated, "I'm rather interested in what's been going on."

I rushed to him and engulfed him in a firm hug. "I'll gladly explain everything."

When I released him I noticed the Omega couple standing nearby. "I'm sorry, I can't recall your names." I admitted.

"I'm Aaron, and my future mate is Anna." The man answered.

Cousin Richard then pulled up. He got out of his truck and said, "Maybe we should all go inside to have this conversation."

Another car pulled up. Eugene stepped out and asked, "Does anyone mind if I join the party?"

I smiled affectionately, but refrained from hugging him as I replied, "I think that's a great idea."

Eugene nodded and we all headed inside.

Alpha Nolan took the big chair by the couch, I sat on the arm of the chair. Eugene took the spot on the couch closest to us. Cousin Richard sat next to him, and my Beta Bro took the spot on the other side of Richard. Aaron and Anna were going to sit on the floor until I grabbed a couple chairs from the dining table, put them by the other end of the couch, making it more of a circle, and insisted they take them instead.

Once everyone was seated I returned to my spot by Alpha Nolan and began to run through the events of the day for those who weren't there. When I got to the part about being in the room with Eugene I turned to Alpha Nolan and said, "I am truly sorry for the pain Eugene and I caused you, it wasn't intentional."

Alpha Nolan asked, "How did you cause it?"

I turned to Eugene. "I think it's best if we show them."

"I thought that we were keeping that a secret." Eugene stated.

I laughed. "Secrets are kept from those outside this cabin." I turned to my Bro. "For right now that includes Sammy Sam."

My Bro nodded, but I could feel his reluctance.

I walked over to Eugene, put my right hand towards the center of the group and offered my left hand to Eugene. He reached out and grabbed it. Immediately my kiss mark turned blue and glowed just like before. Then Alpha Nolan cried out in pain, and we let go of each other's hands.

I rushed to my Alpha. "I'm sorry, we've already agreed not to touch ever again, to make sure you're not hurt, and to keep the secret."

Alpha Nolan recovered quickly and asked, "How is this possible?"

"Near as I can tell Eugene is my best Hunter match, just as you are my werewolf mate." I answered, "If I was going to give in to their ridiculous demand of taking on two husbands, he would be my choice."

Nolan growled.

I pulled him into a hug and explained, "Neither Eugene or I want that. He is perfectly willing to be our third in command, and never pursue a relationship."

Alpha Nolan pulled out of our hug and turned to Eugene. "Is this true?"

Eugene nodded.

"Then welcome to the unofficial rogue pack." Alpha Nolan replied.

"We're not really going to call ourselves a pack still are we?" My Bro asked.

"Hunters don't exactly belong in a pack." Cousin Richard pointed out.

I asked, "What do we have?"

"Units, and regiments." Eugene answered.

"The Rogue Unit doesn't exactly sound right." My Bro declared.

Everyone quickly agreed.

"Besides," Anna mumbled, "This is more of a posse."

I zeroed in on her. For a moment she was very nervous. "I didn't mean to speak out of turn." She apologized, "Please don't make my punishment too severe."

I smiled and crossed the room, pulling her up and into a hug. "You did nothing that requires punishment. Your rank doesn't determine your value. I just want you to repeat that louder."

I released Anna and stepped back.

Anna cleared her throat and repeated, "This group is more of a posse anyway."

"The Rogue Posse." Alpha Nolan stated, "Has a certain ring to it."

"It would be nice if we could figure out how to include a reference to our Luna in the name of our group." Aaron suggested.

I patted his shoulder and told him, "I'm not worried about that. I just want us all to work together."

He nodded his head.

"The Silver Rogue Posse." Eugene offered.

"I like it." Alpha Nolan stated.

I groaned. "Can we get back to telling you guys what happened, and worry about naming our group later?"

Everyone nodded their heads.

When I got to the Omegas telling me about Luna Eleanor my eyes shined Silver in my anger again, and I had to take a moment to calm down before I continued.

When I finished telling them everything up to me threatening Leona and running to the cabin I pulled the book out of my pocket and placed it on the table. "I have a feeling that the werewolves have a similar book, and that by finding it we can find many answers."

My Bro volunteered, "I'll see what Sammy Sam knows, or can find out."

"Also check with Luna Shelly's parents." I instructed, "They seemed to know a lot, and they are on our side."

My Bro nodded his head. "I'll spend the night in town, and see what I can find."

I took a deep breath and returned to my Alpha. Then I handed him his resealed invitation to the mating game. "There's no point in pretending that I haven't had a chance to give this to you, with Leona and Luna Eleanor talking."

Alpha Nolan took it with a growl and put it in his pocket.

I looked at our little posse as we were now apparently calling ourselves and could feel the uncertainty in the atmosphere. "We don't know yet why all this is happening, but if there's one thing I've learned in life it's that God has a reason for everything."

"And what about the moon goddess?" Anna asked.

"The who?" I inquired back.

My Bro explained, "Many werewolves believe we were created by, and are guided by the moon goddess, and that's why the cycles of the moon can effect our mood and strength."

Cousin Richard added, "Some Hunters believe they were created by the sun god to eliminate the creatures of the moon goddess."

"Wow." I groaned, "Both sides of my heritage believe in following a false god and I get to figure out how to deal with it."

"Is it something we have to address?" Eugene asked.

I answered, "Most definitely. I only follow the one true God, and I won't be having false gods worshiped in my posse."

A peace fell over our posse as we all agreed to this in our hearts.

Then I looked over at Aaron and Anna, and remembered Luna Eleanor again. As my eyes turned Silver I stated, "My more immediate concern is deciding how to make Luna Eleanor regret her existence."

Aaron claimed, "We're not worth revenge."

I stormed over to him. "You've spent too many years being told that you don't matter, and that you're less than others. A Luna or Alpha is nothing if they don't have support. Their title is useless without those who make their orders happen."

"Yes Luna." He replied, with his head hung low.

I turned to Alpha Nolan. "I know we have to have some kind of ranking system, but I want to eliminate the werewolves terms as much as possible." I pulled Aaron up, and forced him to raise his head. "Everyone should be proud of being who they are, and find their own place in our posse."

Alpha Nolan nodded his head. "We'll figure out the symantecs later, but from what I can tell we won't be following the traditions of either side."

"I'm sure DoJo's brain is already working on a solution." My Bro declared, "Even as she plots how to deal with Luna Eleanor."

"Why does she have to be dealt with?" Anna asked.

"I warned her not to punish anyone for decisions I made." I informed her, "If I don't deal with her it becomes a threat, and an empty one at that. I don't do threats, much less empty ones."

Anna nodded her head. "I understand."

My Bro assured me, "I'm certain the opportunity to deal with Luna Eleanor will present itself, no need to rush into your revenge."

I sighed. "You have a point, besides if I deal with her now I will rip her to shreds, and that's too quick of a punishment."

"Well, as fun as this has been." Eugene announced, "I need to head back to Hunt City if I'm to lead in your absence."

Alpha Nolan stood and declared, "I have to get my new charges set up in Rogue territory, and deal with getting ready for the games as well."

I sighed. "Meeting dismissed, everyone go do what you need and we'll meet up when we can."

I hugged everyone except Eugene before they left, giving Alpha Nolan a peck on the cheek to show his special place in my heart. Then it was just Cousin Richard and I in the cabin.

I gave my cousin a hug and admitted, "I need a bath and a good meal, with some hot chocolate."

He chuckled. "You take your bath, and I'll take care of the rest."
