Chapter 9
The exclamation of “Daddy‘ was like a thunderbolt from a clear sky, leaving everyone present utterly stunned.
Randall had already seen through Milo’s fake fall, and he knew there must be some plot behind it. Now his suspicions were confirmed.
Randall was almost certain that Milo was trying to deceive him into believing that Milo was his child and then leeching onto
him.
Oliver, however, appeared far more composed than the rest of the crowd, unaffected by the shocking revelation.
He coolly took off his sunglasses, revealing deep and piercing eyes with a naturally intense aura.
He gazed at Milo with a calm yet resolute expression and asked, “Milo, are you sure?”
Milo refused to let go of Randall’s hand and stubbornly replied, “Oliver, I’m sure he is our daddy.”
Because Milo always had a carefree and playful demeanor, he seemed worlds apart from Randall in terms of expressions and temperament. As a result, the onlookers did not immediately make the connection between Milo and Randall. However, as soon as Oliver took off his sunglasses, everyone’s attention was immediately drawn. They could not help but notice the striking resemblance between Oliver and Randall in both appearance and demeanor. It was as if Oliver was a mini version of Randall.
The revelation left everyone in shock. They had never imagined that Randall had secret sons.
Even Randall’s assistant, Derick, was taken aback, but a single cold glare from Randall quickly brought him back to his senses. He immediately shouted. “You’re running late! Stop crowding here, get back to work!”
Startled by the reminder, the curious onlookers dispersed hurriedly. After all, being late under Randall’s watchful eye was a terrifying prospect.
With the crowd gone, Randall seemed intent on ignoring Oliver and Milo, acting as if nothing had happened. He took a step toward the company’s entrance, but in the next moment, he felt little Milo tightly hugging his leg.
In a pitiful tone, Milo pleaded. “Daddy, why don’t you recognize us? We’re your precious children.”
But to Randall, only Lindsay was his child. Oliver and Milo were just two unknown tricksters in his eyes.
Looking down at Milo holding onto his leg, Randall’s expression turned cold and arrogant. “You trying to pull a fast one? Go talk to the legal department!”
Despite Randall’s icy response, Milo’s enthusiasm remained undeterred. He affectionately saying. “Daddy, our mommy is Christine.”
tinued to cling to Randall’s leg.
Milo hoped that by mentioning Christine, it would jog Randall’s memory and make him remember who they were. However, he was met with the same frigid reply, “I don’t know the person you’re talking about. You’ve got the wrong guy.” Milo refused to give up and wanted to continue persuading Randall, but Oliver intervened, advising, Milo, let go of him. If he doesn’t want to recognize us, then let it be. We don’t need this scumbag dad.”
Randall’s denial left Milo feeling deeply hurt, but Oliver did not appear the least bit upset. Instead, he seemed angry at the rejection.
In the financial circles of the Western Hemisphere, everyone knew that “Magnate” was a figure that people should not cross.
Despite being a mere six years old, when Oliver’s anger surged forth, it unleashed a ferocious storm that seemed capable of obliterating all in its path. His wrath instilled fear in the hearts of those who witnessed it, for it possessed an intensity that surpassed his tender years.
Randall’s gaze fell on Oliver. The resemblance between Oliver and himself was undeniable, but Lindsay was already an unexpected surprise. He could not have so many surprises.
Without a moment of hesitation, Randall strode into the Reeves Group.
Standing behind him, Oliver’s eyes were sharp like a sword, exuding a chilling aura.
“Oliver, he is our dad. You have to believe me. My palm readings are always right.”
Milo felt extremely aggrieved. Despite Randall’s firm denial of knowing Christine, Milo was certain that he was their dad after reading his palm. Milo knew he could not be wrong.
Oliver hugged Milo, reassuring him in a deep voice, “Milo, I believe you. You’ve never been wrong in your predictions, and this time won’t be any different.”
Hearing Oliver’s trust, Milo managed to hold back the tears that were about to spill.
‘Oliver, the scumbag dad refuses to recognize us. What do we do next?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let him off so easily, Oliver vowed.
Chapter 9
Milo wiped away a few tears with his chubby little hand and said fiercely, “Our scumbag dad is so despicable. We can’t let him get away with this.”
At Reeves Group, when the employees saw Randall arrive, even those who were itching to gossip had to suppress their curiosity.
“Mr. Reeves, yesterday the stocks of Erickson Group plummeted drastically and even hit the limit down. But today, they rebounded again, indicating some manipulation by a powerful figure in the financial world, and that can only be ‘Magnate.”
“Magnate‘ has extended its reach to Archiland. Go look into it.”
Randall had long wanted to meet “Magnate,” and he never expected that “Magnate” would venture into Archiland.
Randall’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, his gaze intense. Randall exuded an awe–inspiring presence that captured everyone’s
attention.
“Yes, I’ll immediately arrange for a team to investigate. Also, the documents for the Ultraworld Project from our subsidiary are ready for your review,” Derick said as he opened the files on his computer screen.
The Ultraworld Project was one of the key projects for Reeves Group this year.
Suddenly, the computer screen went black.
Derick was taken aback and quickly tried to wake up the computer by clicking the mouse, but there was no response. He hurriedly dialed the internal hotline.
“Get Alaric Webb from the tech department to the CEO’s office immediately.”
Randall’s eyes narrowed, showing impatience at the sudden computer malfunction.
“Derick, don’t waste my time again next time!”
Derick apologized in a fluster, “I’m sorry, Mr. Reeves. I promise it won’t happen again.”
As Derick was apologizing, the screen suddenly lit up again. Just as he was about to breathe a sigh of relief, bright green letters appeared on the screen, glaringly obvious.
“The scumbag dad enjoys the sex, but shirks the responsibility.”
Randall’s eyes grew darker. He did not know who was behind this.
At that moment, Alaric from the tech department rushed in, and it turned out his computer was the same.
“What’s going on?” Randall’s voice was deep, filled with a strong sense of menace.
Alaric stuttered, “Mr. Reeves, I’m sorry. All our company computers have been infected with a virus, and they all show the same message on the screens.”
This news was unexpected.
Randall looked at Alaric, and a hint of fierceness flashed through his pitch–black eyes.
Alaric was ranked fifth on the global hacker list, and Randall had spared no expense to hire him to secure the company’s network. Ever since he took charge, there had been no issues with Reeves Group’s system, but now someone had breached it.
Randall furrowed his brow, his voice tinged with thin anger. “How long will it take you to fix this?”
Alaric lowered his head respectfully, replying, “Mr. Reeves, I’ll do my best to resolve it as quickly as possible.”
Half an hour passed, but every computer in Reeves Group still displayed the same scrolling green letters.
“The scumbag dad enjoys the sex, but shirks the responsibility.”
The entire company was paralyzed, with everyone facing this absurd message.
“It’s still not fixed?” Randall’s gaze was intense, exuding an awe–inspiring presence. His voice grew colder.
Alaric wiped the sweat from his forehead, apologetically saying, “Mr. Reeves, I’m sorry, this virus is too aggressive!”
