The Rejected Luna and Three Twin Babies by Bobavenus

Chapter 8

Chapter 8

Olivia’s POV

“H-halo,” I greeted nervously as I saw the Omegas busy in the kitchen. Almost all of them were gathered

there.

No one turned their heads. Maybe it’s because my voice is too low because I’m so nervous. I don’t know why I’m this nervous, I should just be normal. But I was afraid they wouldn’t like me, like what Beta here did to me.

“Hello, excuse me!” I said again, a little louder this time.

And it worked, all the Omegas who seemed to be cooking immediately turned to me. Come on, why not just one person? Why all of them? I’m just getting more nervous this way.

“Olivia? Her name is Olivia, right?” The Omega’s whisper was heard by me.

“Yes. That’s the one who just came with Alpha Aldric, she’s the one.”

I cleared my throat then ventured over to them.

“Everyone, let me join you,” I said with a smile to cover my nerves.

I saw them all look at each other. They seemed surprised or astonished.

“Alpha Aldric told you to?” one of them asked.

I shook my head. “No, he didn’t. It’s just my will.”

“Then he’s not a special person here,” they whispered again in my ear.

“That’s right. I also thought that she was Aldric’s Alpha mate.”

“Please help, I really want to join you and serve this Pack,” I said seriously, I was starting to dislike it when they talked about me in front of me.

“Alright. I’m Elle, the head Omega here. I will command all the Omegas in this castle, as well as organize you,” said the she-wolf with wavy hair. She came forward and gave a friendly.smile.

I looked at her with a warm gaze and a polite smile. “Allow me to join you, Mistress Elle. Is there a first task for me today?”

She nodded visibly. “To be honest, we have a lot of work to do today. But…” Elle trailed off, I saw her gaze shift from my eyes to my stomach. “You’re pregnant, apparently. Wouldn’t you mind working like an Omega like us?”

“Not at all,” I replied quickly while shaking my head. I don’t want them to look at me through pity glasses, I don’t want to be pitied. I think I’m strong enough even though I haven’t rested enough.

The last time I rested was since I fainted, only two hours. Then Aldric brought me here and ended up here.

The Omega head seemed to think for a moment, then shortly nodded.

“Well, if that’s your decision. Can you cook?” Elle asked and I nodded.

Of course I can. I was a she-wolf who could be considered proficient in anything. It reminded me of what Arthur said about why he loved me. Cih, remembering Arthur’s sweet words in the past makes me feel sick, that guy can only brag. He was easily deceived by the enemy to choose Belle who was not his mate at all.

I feel like telling Arthur about the enemy’s c u n n i n g plan that I met in the forest, but my fear that Arthur wouldn’t believe it, made me hesitate to tell him.

I was afraid he would kick me out the moment I laid eyes on his face. Oh, or could Arthur really be in love with Belle? The thought of it made my blood rise.

“Oliv! Are you listening to me?”

I glared. Staring at Elle nervously. “M-sorry, I wasn’t listening to you, I was just thinking about something.” I said regretting having s t u p i d l y thought about Arthur in a place like this. “Can you repeat that?”

Elle seemed to give me a knowing smile, putting me at ease. Turns out she’s not as bad as I thought when I first stepped into this place.

“Let me repeat that. Your first task is to help us cook. We’re trying hard to prepare an important event here. at the Pack. I hope you can do a good, thorough and satisfactory job,” Elle patiently explained.

I nodded in understanding and then began to join in to help them.

Prang!

I jumped in surprise at what I had done. I had accidentally nudged a plate until it broke. I was annoyed at myself. I’m usually not this careless, but honestly, the pain in my stomach was making me unfocused.

“I’m sorry,” I said regretfully while picking up the broken glass.

“That’s okay. Let me take care of this, Oliv.”

I looked up at someone’s words. She was a beautiful girl with short hair, I saw that the girl really helped me clean up the broken glass.

“Oh yes, my name is Elijah.”

I returned his hand. “Nice to meet you,” I said sincerely. “Thanks for helping.”

His gaze shifted to my stomach. “You’re pregnant so young, it’s best to rest. Besides, it’s almost morning.”

I rounded my eyes, realizing it was almost morning. That means I’ve been working for half a day, without a break.

“Why so surprised?” Elijah chuckled at my expression. “Omega is indeed an unpleasant task. But believe me, our tasks aren’t usually this hard.”

I gulped, moistening my throat which was already feeling very dry. I was thirsty. Apparently, this is how it feels to be an Omega. I cried inwardly, it really didn’t feel good to be the lowest caste in a group. That’s what the Omega Dechishon in my place must have felt.

Sometimes I like to yell at them, put them down, it turns out they also have great merit.

“Not usually this heavy?” I asked in surprise, repeating Elijah’s words.

“Yes. Mrs. Elle explained, didn’t she? We’ll have special guests today.”

Oh my. How could I forget what Elle had said because I wasn’t focused.

“Who are they?” I asked, suddenly curious as to who would be coming until all the Omegas had to work so hard like this.

“All the Alphas will gather this afternoon. It’s a tradition to visit each other’s castles to strengthen relationships,” Elijah explained to me. “That’s why we have to do our best today so as not to disappoint the

Pack.”

My throat, which needed water, became even drier when I heard her explanation.

“What should I do then? I’m afraid of disappointing Pack,” I said nervously.

Elijah seemed to laugh. “Hahaha, you take it easy. We’re just Omegas, what does it matter? There won’t be at single Alpha who cares about us.”

I narrowed my eyes. There was a dislike I felt towards Elijah. I thought she was a sweet girl at first, but somehow there was a nagging feeling. I brushed it off quickly, maybe it was just my feelings.

“I mean, about our work. I don’t have the slightest hope of getting a glimpse of them,” I said firmly.

The annoying laughter ringing in my ears finally stopped. Elijah looked at me again without laughter this time.

“Oh, that. I thought you were hoping they’d glance at you,” she said with a-smirk, then walked away from

me.

I squinted, Elijah was a strange wolf. Is he good or bad, really?

I thought the work would be over by noon, but instead it piled up. I was exhausted, to be honest. So I walked to the wicker chair to sit down and rest for a while.

“Ahh, what a relief…” I said as I closed my eyes. It felt very comfortable even though it was made of rattan.

I blamed myself for living so well for so long that I forgot how to know myself. And I’m being awakened right now.

“Olivial”

I immediately stood up when Mrs. Elle called out. It felt bad to rest while everyone else was busy working.

“Please deliver this dish to the Alphas!” he ordered.

I froze. “Wh-what?”

He looked at me sharply. “What’s wrong? Do you mind?”

“No!” I replied quickly. Though inwardly I cursed, why should I?

“The Omegas are busy working, not to mention cleaning up the castle later, only you can deliver this dish to them,” Elle said making me understand.

“Alright. Which one should I bring?”

She pointed to a tray of drinks. “This first, then the others. You have to do it carefully, do you understand?”

Despite my nervousness, I nodded. I carried the tray carefully, then walked towards the place Elle had instructed, where the Alphas were gathered..

I was almost there, their conversation started to sound faint to me. After getting rid of a little nervousness, I walked over.

But… my steps slowed down when I saw someone. Someone I hated so much, sitting among

them.

Wait.

Why

Alpha? Alpha Society? am I being so stup i d?

Arthur was there. Obviously. Elijah said all Alphas, I didn’t think there would be an Arthur there.

My heart was beating faster than usual. I was… surprised. Dizziness immediately hit me, either because I was exhausted or I was so shocked to see the Alpha. Everything seemed to attack me.

I realized I was about to lose consciousness. But I shouldn’t have fainted. Since I was not far from them, Arthur would have been able to see me if I fainted.

I don’t want to meet that man for now.

Unfortunately, circumstances were not on my side. I was completely exhausted and lost consciousness.

It was dark. I fainted. Fall down. Along with the dishes I brought for them. And this incident caught the attention of the Alphas.
