The Rejected Alpha Wolf

Chapter TWELVE-BROKEN ALLIGENCE

Blake POV

I had utterly destroyed my office as Silas sat back and watched the destruction.

"Why are you so worked up, Blake?"

"I am not paying the rogues the money until Rachel and Sarah are returned to us," Silas chuckled. I growled.

"What makes you think they will succeed, Silas?"

"You heard what Dallas said. It’s a suicide mission," Silas just looked at me and cackled.

"Why are you so worried about those useless rogues, Blake?"

"If they die, then oh well, one less filthy mutt to worry about," Silas chuckled and ran his fingers through his blonde hair.

"If they fail, Silas, all this would have been for nothing!" I shouted as he scoffed.

"Then you call in your allied packs if the rogues fail," he suggested as I stared at him.

"Stone Valley?" I asked as he growled.

"Anyone but Stone Valley and Alpha Simon."

"It’s bad enough we have to deal with rogues, but Alpha Simon is ten times bad, so the answer is no!" Silas shouted. I growled at him as he scoffed and smirked.

"We will..." I started saying that when my office door opened.

"Alpha, we..." my Beta Harold paused and looked around the room.

'What happened in here?" I looked at him and growled as Silas leaned against the wall with his arms folded.

"Nothing that you need to be concerned about, Beta."

"What do you want?" I growled out as he stood in the doorway, and I saw him gulp.

"Uh...Sadie and I just returned from vacation, and I was wondering where Luna Sarah and the girls were."

"Roger isn’t home, and Chloe’s car is gone," Harold said as I stared at him.

"You have missed much in the last few days, Beta."

"It appears Sarah has rejected me, and Rachel ran away."

"As for your daughter, I assume she has found her mate," I growled as he stepped back.

"Why would Sarah reject..." he was about to say when I punched him in the face.

"It doesn’t matter. I need you to return to your duties immediately, or I will kill you."

"I need you to send scouts to Blue Eclipse and get the information we can use to attack that pack," I growled, watching him wipe the blood from his nose as he stood.

"You do realize that going up against a pack like Blue Eclipse is a death sentence, Alpha Blake," he said in a mock tone as Boulder growled at his disrespect.

I watched Silas quietly walk toward the door, closing and locking it.

"What the..." he started to say as Boulder took over.

Silas held Harold, and Boulder started attacking Harold.

Sadie POV

I was at home wondering where my children were when I felt a slight pain in my chest.

"Ah," I screamed and fell to my knees.

"Star? What is going on?" My wolf whimpered.

"Someone is hurting our mate," she howled as the searing hot pain increased. I felt Harold’s pain and grabbed my chest as I whimpered.

"Who would want to hurt him?"

"He’s the sweetest man and Father. Who would do this?" I thought as the pain continued.

After about twenty minutes, the pain stopped as I tried to pull myself up on wobbly legs and slowly walked to the door.

"Harold?" I called out through our link. I felt he was still alive but barely, as he didn’t respond.

"Please hold on, my love," I pleaded through our link.

I got ready to open the door. I gasped and saw Harold’s body in a crumpled heap on our front porch.

"Harold!" I shouted and rushed to his side.

His face was bloody, and there were claw marks and bite wounds all over his body.

"Harold, talk to me, honey, please!" I heard his rigid breath.

"Sadie...?" I cried, holding his body to me.

"Who did this to you? What happened?" I asked as he was fading in and out of consciousness.

"Alp... Alpha...Blake..." he started to say before his eyes closed, and his body went limp in my arms.

"Harold! Harold!" I cried and whimpered.

"Star, can you feel his wolf? Is he dead?" I asked my wolf and prayed to the goddess.

"Hasin is there. I can feel him, but he’s weak and doing his best to heal Harold."

"I think they gave him wolfsbane," Star said and whimpered.

I gasped and quickly told the pack doctor that Harold had been injured, and I was on my way with him.

"Please hold on, honey. I can’t lose you," I whispered as I tried to use my strength to get Harold in the truck.

Roger POV

I was returning home from Jennifer’s house when I pulled up and saw my Dad’s truck in the driveway.

"I guess my parents are back," I thought as I looked ahead and saw a small figure trying to drag what looked like a body.

"What the hell?" I thought as I parked my truck and got out.

"Mom?" I called out, walked over, and noticed she was trying to carry my Father.

"Dad?!" I ran around to help my Mom as she sobbed.

"Mom! What happened?" I asked as I helped her carry my Father. She cried loudly.

"I don’t know. We came home and noticed things seemed different."

"So, your Father went to the pack house to talk to Alpha Blake, and that’s when I felt someone hurting him," Mom cried harder as I put my Father’s body in my truck.

I growled as my wolf Rocky howled for our Father.

"He’ll be okay, Mom," I told her as we both hopped into my truck, and I sped toward the pack hospital.

I heard my Mother sobbing and rubbed her shoulder. We finally got to the pack hospital as Dr. Tucker was waiting for us, and we had nurses and a stretcher brought out.

"Sadie, what happened to Harold?" he asked as my Mother was crying and couldn’t answer.

"Roger?" he called out.

"We should talk inside," I said as my Father was being rolled into the hospital.

"Please sit while I tend to your Father, and we can talk once we have him stable," Dr. Tucker said.

I nodded at Dr. Tucker, grabbed my Mother’s hand, and walked her toward the waiting area. I sighed and ran my fingers through my jet-black hair.

"Mom, what happened?" I asked my Mother as she grabbed a tissue and wiped her eyes.

"As I said earlier, things seem different around here."

"So, your Father went to the pack house, and that’s when I felt his pain," she said and tried not to sob.

"Anything else?" I asked, and she shook her head.

"Your Father was in and out of consciousness, and the only thing he said was Alpha Blake when I asked him what happened," Mom said as Rocky growled.

"If he hurt my Father, I will kill him!" Rocky growled.

"Mom," she turned and looked at me. I sighed.

"A lot of things have happened since you and Dad have been gone," I said as she stared.

"Like what?" she asked, and I dreaded telling her this.

"I have been hearing rumors about Rachel finding her mate at Blue Eclipse pack," I told my Mother as her eyes widened.

"Do you know who? And where is Luna Sarah?" I shook my head.

"Mom...I heard Luna Sarah rejected Alpha Blake," she gasped as her eyes widened.

"What? Why?" she asked as I sighed.

"I don’t know the full story, but it had something to do with Silas," I told her as she held her hands over her mouth.

Sadie POV

For Sarah to reject Blake, it had to be something that good for nothing Silas and Blake did. Sarah and I grew up together. Our parents were very close, and she is like my sister. I never trusted Blake, and when I learned they were fated mates. I gave Sarah some friendly advice and told her to watch out for Blake Sullivan. But the mate bond blinded her to his evil ways.

"Sadie," I looked up and saw the doctor as Roger and I approached.

"How is he?" I asked with trembling hands.

"He’s stable, and we’ve managed to flush the wolfsbane out of his body."

"It’s up to his wolf on how fast he heals," Dr. Tucker said. I sighed with relief and thanked him.

"Care to explain what happened?" Dr. Tucker asked.

I told Dr. Tucker all I knew as his eyes widened, and he cleared his throat. I watched him fidget and nod in understanding.

"Can we see him?" Roger asked.

Dr. Tucker nodded and led us around the back toward Harold’s room.

"He was in and out of consciences for a while when we put him in the room, but he’s just sleeping it off now," the doctor told us as he bowed and left the room.

I walked over and sat on one side of his bed while Roger sat on another.

"Where is your sister?" I asked my son while I ran my fingers through Harold’s jet-black hair.

"She met her mate and moved to the Blue Eclipse pack, Mom," Roger said as I eyed him.

"She What?!" I shouted, and Roger had to quiet me down.

"Why didn’t she say anything? Who is it?" I watched Roger sigh.

"It’s not like you or Dad had your phones on the whole time you two were gone, and we couldn’t reach you."

"As far as her mate, she told me he’s the future Beta of the Blue Eclipse pack, and Amber’s mate is the future Gamma," Roger said as I gasped.

My baby girl would be the Beta Female to one of the most well-respected packs in the state. I heard grunting and looked over to see Harold blinking his eyes.

"Harold? Honey, can you hear me?" I grabbed his hand and rubbed my thumb on the back of it.

"Sadie?" he grunted.

"I’m here, my love, and so is Roger," he smiled weakly at me and looked over at Roger.

"Hiya, Dad. Are you okay? need anything?" Roger asked his Father as he shook his head.

"Who did this to you?" I asked as he looked at me.

I watched him cough, and I quickly grabbed a cup, filled it with water, and placed the straw to Harold’s lips as he gulped it down. He laid back and sighed.

"Blake and Silas did this to me," he said as I gasped.

"What?! Why?!" I shouted as Harold squeezed my hand.

Harold POV

I explained what happened in Blake’s office earlier to Sadie and Roger as I watched my mate sob and my son with a pissed-off look on his face.

"Blake and Silas are trying to start a war with the Blue Eclipse pack because Rachel and Sarah left."

"Rachel because she found her fated mate and Sarah because, after Blake retires, Silas was to mate, mark Rachel, and merge the two packs."

"But the problem is that Sarah is this pack’s rightful heir, not Blake," I told them.

"How do you know this?" I looked at my son. I sighed.

"While Boulder was beating the crap out of me, and Silas was holding me down."

"Boulder spilled too much information, and afterward, they pumped me with wolfsbane and had the warriors drag me back to the house, hoping the wolfsbane would weaken us and we would forget what he confessed," I heard Roger growl as his eyes turned onyx black.

"I’m going to rip his head off!" I saw Rocky was at the surface and grabbed my son’s hand.

"No, son, Blake has too many allies within the warrior ranks, and who knows how many members are loyal to Silas."

"We must leave before Blake fully snaps and tries to kill us off to get to Sarah and Rachel," I said. I felt Sadie grab my hand and squeeze it.

"Where will we go? What pack will take us in?" Roger asked.

"Blue Eclipse," I said as both their eyes widened.

"I may have been out of it, but I heard the two of you talking and learned Chloe found her mate, the future Beta of the Blue Eclipse pack," Roger nodded in confirmation as Sadie smiled.

'We will be okay, dear."

"Blake may have allies in some of the warriors, but I have some allies too, and we are leaving tonight," I said.

"But honey, you are injured. We can’t..." I raised my hand to stop her from talking.

"Hasin is healing me."

"Most of my wounds are already closed. Roger, call your sister and let her know what happened."

"Sadie, go with Roger and pack as much of our things as possible, okay?" I said as Roger took out his iPhone and dialed Chloe’s number.

"What about Jennifer?" Roger asked as I looked at him.

"Is she your mate, son?" I asked as he shook his head. I sighed.

"We can’t risk it if she’s in leagues with Blake or Silas," he growled at me.

"I love her!" he shouted, and Hasin let out a louder growl.

"She isn’t your mate."

"You will find your fated mate and forget all about her!" I shouted as I heard Chloe’s voice on the speakerphone.

"Dad is right, Roger," she sighed.

“I didn’t want to tell you this because I knew how much you cared for Jennifer, but she is sleeping with Silas, too,” Chloe said, causing Roger to growl.

"You’re lying, Chloe!" he snarled.

"I’m not lying, Roger."

"I know this because he is sleeping with our cousin Laura, too."

"She came over one day crying about Silas because she caught him bringing Jennifer into his office and heard them fucking!" she shouted.

"And you believe her?!" Roger roared.

Roger POV

"Yes, I do, because one day you were out with your friends, and Jennifer came looking for you."

"I smelled Silas’s faint scent on her. Even though she might have gone home and showered, his scent was still faintly there."

"You know Alphas have a very distinct scent," Chloe explained.

I growled and threw my phone at the wall as it shattered.

"We are leaving," I turned and told my parents, as they nodded.

"Mom, let’s go," My Mother got up and left the room with me.

"I’m sorry about Jennifer, son," my Mother apologized, and I shook my head.

We left the hospital and got into my truck. I sped back toward our house as my Mom and I rushed inside and started packing suitcases and bags.

"Mom, can we make it out of Lotus Shadow undetected?"

“I mean, Alpha Blake and Silas nearly killed Dad.”

"How can we..." she put her finger to my lips.

"Your Father has a plan, and he knows people who will help us get out as they feel the same way about Alpha Blake, okay," she said as I nodded.

"Okay, Mom," I finished packing my bags and helped Mom carry hers while she took Dad’s, and we loaded up both trucks.

My Mom got into Dad’s truck, and I got into mine as we drove back toward the pack hospital. My Mom had gone inside the hospital to get Dad while I watched. A few minutes later, I saw at least fifteen warriors emerge from the forest and walk toward my truck. I got out of my vehicle and growled at them.

"Who are you?" I said as Rocky growled.

"We mean no harm, young Beta."

"We are friends of Harold’s, and we had hoped to leave with you all," one of the warriors said as he raised his hands.

Mom walked out with Dad on crutches a few minutes later as one of the warriors approached to help them.

"Where are Alpha Blake and Silas?" I asked the warrior from earlier.

"I heard he and the young Alpha went to a bar," I nodded and told them to load up into the trucks.

After everyone piled into the two trucks, I left first as Mom followed in Dad’s truck.

"Once we reach the gate, we have to renounce our claim to this pack," the warrior named Samuel said as I nodded.

We finally arrived at the gate. Samuel exited the truck and opened the gate with his key card.

"Mom, renounce your claim to this pack and tell Dad to do the same," I linked my Mother as Samuel got back into the truck.

One by one, everyone renounced Lotus Shadow as their pack, and we sped off into the night, heading toward Blue Eclipse.
