The Rejected Alpha Wolf

Chapter FOURTYFOUR-THE FAMILY SECRETS REVEALED (Part 1)

One Year Later: The Twin's Birthday Party

Rachel POV

"Xander and Xayden!" I called for my boys as they ran around the suite, avoiding wearing their birthday outfits.

"Ugh! Damn, those pups of mine."

"ACE SILVA!" I yelled for my husband. I heard chuckling as he poked his head out of the bathroom.

"You called little flower?" I glared at him as he smiled and opened the door wider, showing off his glorious body. I tried not to blush and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Your sons are making it difficult to get them dressed, and the party starts an hour and a half."

"I still have to get ready!" I nearly shouted as he chuckled.

"Alright, alright, I'll get them ready while you shower and get dressed," he chuckled, and I handed him their clothes.

"Thank you," I said and kissed his lips.

Thirty minutes later, I showered and wore a dark blue and white sundress and sandals. It was a bit warm for the September weather, but it felt nice. Ace wore a dark blue polo shirt, white cargo shorts, and sneakers. It was nice seeing him wearing casual clothes for once and not being the Alpha King for a day since our coronation a year ago. Ace and I have been working as a team and getting things back in order. With the help of our royal Betas and Gammas, things are going smoothly. More packs have moved into the area and were still getting things situated with getting them sorted into the kingdom.

We still have to deal with rogues and vampires who don't want to abide by kingdom laws, so we either kill them or send them to the elders. Speaking of vampires, some hold a grudge against werewolves being in power and don't want them sitting on the throne and ruling over the other supernaturals.

"Rachel!" I heard Ace's voice and was brought out of my thoughts.

"Coming," I said and exited our bedroom.

I walked into the living room as Ace finished getting Xayden ready. The boys were whining, but they looked cute in their outfits. I chuckled, picked up my sweet boy Xayden, and kissed his cheek.

"Mommie," he said in broken words and clapped his hands. Ace grabbed Xander, and I leaned over and kissed his cheek as he looked at me.

"Awe, my little sun, you look cute in your outfit," he giggled and turned away.

The boys wore white polo shirts with the pack emblem on the right side and dark blue corduroy shorts with white sneakers. We quickly left the suite and headed toward the elevator for the boy's first birthday party. I heard children's laughter as some pack members brought their young children to the future King's party. I saw Carissa seated at the table with her round belly peeking through her sundress. A few months after, Ace became King, and I became the Queen. Carissa and Patrick announced the arrival of their eldest son. Carissa is now pregnant with their second pup.

"Oh crap," I said, placing Xayden in his chair while Ace put Xander in his.

"What's wrong, little flower?" Ace asked as I looked at him.

"I left the boy's presents in the library. I'll be back," I told Ace as he nodded and entertained the twins.

I quickly returned to the castle and took the elevator to the fifth floor. When the doors opened, I rushed to the library and walked inside toward the bookshelves. I hid the presents on the bookshelves in the library because I knew how clever and curious my sons were. I grabbed the ladder and walked up slowly to retrieve the gifts. I was moving the presents when I heard something hard hit the floor, and I looked down to see a dark brown leather-bound book.

"Hmm," I wondered and picked up the book.

"That's weird," I said.

I noticed the initials A.D.S. on the outside. My curiosity got the better of me as I sat at one of the tables and opened the book. The first entry read the property of Andre Deon Silva. My eyes widened as I flipped the page and read the first dated entry.

Dear Journal

Today is my 18th birthday, and I will finally find my mate. My Father, Alexander Silva, the Alpha of the Forest Rain pack, said he was ready to pass down the Alpha title and had a big, important secret to tell me. I couldn't wait to see what my Father had for my birthday. My Mother, Rosa, was making my cake because she knew what flavor I loved. So, until I write again, that's all for now.

I flipped to the next page and read the next entry:

Andre Deon Silva

Dear Journal

Last night I found my mate! Her name is Calie Ramos, and she is part of the Rio Nergo pack. Her Father is the current Alpha, Davi Ramos. He was a good man and an incredible Alpha, but I'm writing because my Father told me a secret about our bloodline. He said we are descendants of the first werewolf King, born of the moon goddess herself. He told me that my Grandfather Aldemir Silva was born from William and was one of his six mates whom Selene had created for him. I didn't believe my Father and was angry that he would keep something like this from me. My Father said that great dangers would arise if the enemy discovered six royal families were born from the first werewolf, as some supernaturals believe that werewolves shouldn't be in power and that other supernaturals are superior species like vampires. My Father also said that two of the royal bloodlines had been wiped out, and whoever was making the killings was still out there. I'm not worried because I don't believe it.

My eyes widened with shock as I read the journal. I picked up a picture of a handsome man and a beautiful woman. The man resembled Ace and his family in so many ways. The woman was gorgeous, with long blonde hair and light green eyes. I continued to read the pages until I came to one entry that piqued my interest:

Andre Silva

March 7th, 1930

Dear Journal

Today is the day that I would finally meet my son and firstborn, Adonis. Calie had been in labor all night until the early morning hours. During Adonis's birth, my Beta Cesar informed me about all the recent rogue attacks against the Forest Rain pack. We are a strong pack, but when I called the surrounding Alphas and asked if they were being attacked like I was, they said no. This piqued my interest, and I decided to research why my pack was the only one being attacked. What I found out was shocking, according to the gossip around the town that borders my pack. A vampire is out there looking for the Alpha descendants of the first werewolf. I couldn't believe what I heard, so I left the town and returned to my pack. Once I arrived home, I searched my office for answers. I searched through the drawers and bookshelves until I saw a small box that caught my attention. I pulled the little box from the bookshelf and opened the lid to see a small ring inside. The ring was made of smooth stainless steel. My family name, Silva, was engraved on it, with a crown above it and diamonds embedded in it. I fell to my knees as I realized everything my Father told me was true, and I had to do what was necessary to protect my mate and son from this vicious monster.

The Alpha King Ring

"Oh, my goddess!" I said.

I knew then that I needed to show this to Ace, and I quickly picked up the book and heard something move inside the context.

"What the..." I said, shook the book again, and listened to the movement.

I slid my hands on the journal's binder and felt something click as a part of the binder slid open. I heard a clatter on the table. I looked down at the table and gasped as I saw a stainless-steel ring sitting on it. I picked it up and noticed the name Silva encrusted on the ring. I also saw the crown with the diamonds embedded in the ring and realized this was the same ring Andre mentioned in the journal.

"Rachel, where are you?"

"The other guests are arriving," I heard Ace say in the link.

"Shit!" I said aloud.

"Coming!" I linked back, put the ring in my dress pocket, and grabbed the journal and the boy's gifts.

Walking out the side patio door, I returned downstairs in record time. The other Alphas and Lunas arrived for the boys' party. I greeted everyone with Ace as our parents came. It was going to be a pup boom for sure this year. All the visiting Lunas were sporting baby bumps except for Luna Harper and Yvette. They each had a pup, and I smiled. Luna Harper had a handsome little boy with Alpha Major's ebony black curls and golden-tone skin. Luna Yvette was trying to put her son to sleep, and of course, he inherited the Silva family curls. I looked around for Staci, saw her tending to the twins, and walked over to her.

"Staci?" she stood up and smiled at me.

"Hey, Rachel," I smiled and hugged her tight. I leaned toward her ear.

"We need to talk," I said and pulled back as she looked into my eyes. I knew she was trying to read me, but I shook my head at her.

"After the party, bring Antonio, please," she eyed me but nodded.

The party was a big hit for the twins. They got new toys and clothes. I watched as my boys fed each other cake and smeared the icing on their faces.

Ace POV

Rachel had been acting weird all afternoon but played it off well. Apollo hummed in my head.

"What is it?" I asked my wolf as he grunted.

"Something is up with Rachel and Rayne, but Rayne isn't talking to me," Apollo said.

"We need to find out what's bothering them," I grunted my response as Apollo hummed.

The boy's birthday party was a big hit, and everyone had a good time. I watched as the boys smeared icing all over each other, and I laughed. Around five pm, everyone started leaving. I looked over at Rachel as she was helping our Moms clean up the boys, and the omegas began cleaning up the party mess.

"Rachel?" I called her name through the link, and she turned and looked at me.

"Yeah?" she said and smiled.

"What's bothering you, little flower?"

"You seem distant all afternoon," she looked at me and fiddled with her fingers.

"Not here. Let's get the boys down first, and then we will talk," Rachel said. I tilted my head to the side and nodded.

After cleaning up and gathering the boys, Rachel and I headed inside the castle to give them their baths and prepare them for bed.

"Can you guys come to the office in thirty minutes?"

"Rachel needs to share something," I linked my Beta and Gamma.

"Sure. Is everything okay?" Carlito asked.

"I don't know, but we will find out shortly," I said, closing the link.

Once the boys were bathed and down for bed, Rachel and I called for the nanny and headed toward the office. I noticed Rachel was carrying a dark brown leather-looking book and wondered what the big secret was about. Once we arrived inside the office, I saw my Beta and Gamma with their mates, my parents and Grandparents, Rachel's Mother, and my great-Grandmother Daniela.

"Son, is everything okay?" my Father asked me as I closed the door.

"Uh, I don't know, Dad, so..." I heard Rachel clear her throat.

"I found something interesting in the library, and I think all of you should read this first," Rachel said, laying down the book she was carrying.

I looked at the book, noticed the initials A.D.S on the front, and looked at Rachel. She nodded, and I sat at my desk as everyone gathered around. I opened the book, read the owner's name, and looked up at Rachel as she nodded. I flipped the page and began reading the first dated entry. When I read the entry about the ring, I looked up at Rachel as she placed a ring on my desk. I heard my great-Grandmother gasp.

"Oh, querida deusa, o anel Silva Alpha King!"(Oh, dear goddess, the Silva Alpha King ring!). I looked at my great-Grandmother.

"Você já viu isso antes?"(Have you seen this before?). I asked my great-Grandmother, and she nodded as tears glistened from her eyes.

I watched as my great-Grandmother removed a locket from her neck and opened it, revealing a picture of a man who resembled us. The only exception was his straighter hair, whereas the curly part came from Daniela.

"Adonis Mário Silva. Meu amado companheiro e esposo" (Adonis Mario Silva. My beloved mate and husband). I looked at my parents and Grandparents as my Grandfather Aquila hung his head and silently cried.

I watched Aquila and Daniela hold each other and cry for my great-Grandfather. I picked up the ring and held it tightly as I read the rest of the journal, wanting to know what had happened to my family.
