Chapter FOURTYFIVE-THE FAMILY SECRETS REVEALED (Part 2)
Ace POV
I read all the journal entries but was still in the middle of the book. The vampire attacks went on for years and even more after Andre and Calie's second son Ricardo was born five years later:
Andre Deon Silva
August 20th, 1935
Dear Journal:
Ricardo Davi Silva was born this morning, and I couldn't be happier to have another son with my beautiful Calie. Things still haven't changed, and the vampires are getting more desperate to end the royal-blooded Alpha lines. I've had to rely on my allies and Father-in-law to help me keep the vampires at bay. I'm losing warriors every other week, and I've recently had a significant hit as I lost my Delta, Pedro. At the same time, his mate had just delivered their daughter two weeks before. I don't know what to do anymore. I fear for my family's and pack's safety. I pray to the moon goddess to send me a sign or a miracle. I hope she hears my plea for help.
I sighed as I realized my family had endeared a lot over the years; I read the entries, and what stuck out to me:
Andre Deon Silva
September 5th, 1940
Dear Journal:
I needed answers as to why this mysterious vampire was hunting my family and others like me. I, along with my Beta and Gamma, did some extensive research. My Father even helped me, and we discovered that the Sinclair Alphas were still alive and lived in the U.K. of the British Empire, and the current King was Henry Sinclair. When I arrived at the palace of the Sinclairs, Henry and his mate were waiting for me on the steps and greeted me like family. I met his two children, a son and a daughter. At dinner, Henry explained that only the males of our bloodlines are decimated because the females don't carry the royal blood gene. He stated he knew about the vampire attacks. Still, he doesn't know who the vampire is, only that he has a personal vendetta against wolves who are in power. That piqued my interest. I also noticed Henry was wearing an Alpha King ring made like mine, but it only had his family name on it. He told me that all six of the sons born by William each have a ring signifying their royal heritage. The questions that remained the same were: Who was the vampire? And why are werewolves his enemy?
As I read the entry, my mind wondered the same thing as Apollo grunted his response.
"Can I see the ring?" my Mother asked, and I handed her the ring.
I watched as my mother gasped, and her eyes turned a misty white, indicating she was getting a vision.
"Mom...?" I asked as her eyes returned to normal, and she looked at me.
"I saw...I saw everything," she said as everyone present looked at her.
My Mother turned her teary eyes to Daniela and pulled my great-Grandmother into her arms.
"I saw his death as if I was there."
"Daniela, I'm so sorry you went through that," my Mother said, rubbing Daniela's back.
I flipped to the next page and continued with the next dated entry:
Andre Deon Silva

Dear Journal:
It's been two years since my Father died in battle fighting against the vampire army. I watched daily as my sons grew up and wondered if they would ever be safe or if things would ever be expected. I have kept in touch with Henry Sinclair over the last five years and have told him about my Father. He claimed the vampire was getting bolder with wanting to end the bloodlines. He said the Sowden Alpha bloodline had been wiped out, and only three remained. Sinclair, Silva, and Varson are the only ones left. Still, I'm writing now because I will make a legacy for my future descendants so they know what to do when it comes. Last night, I had a dream, but this wasn't an ordinary dream. Our goddess Selene visited me, and she told me a fascinating story. She claimed that William wasn't her only child. She said one day, she brought William down to earth to play in the forest as a boy, and that was when the God of Death himself appeared and raped her. William was oblivious to his surroundings. Selene stated that the God of Death had always been obsessed with her. She always tried to stay away from Earth, but for William's sake, she came down so he could play in the forest. Later, Selene found out months later that she was pregnant with his child, and when she gave birth to the boy, she noticed he had no blood pumping from his still heart, the palest skin, and dark red eyes. Selene gave birth to the first vampire, and she hid the child away, making him hate the sun so he couldn't walk in the daylight. She mentioned that she can't interfere with life on Earth. Things have to play out how they are meant to be, but she said she had a plan for my future descendants so my bloodline at least has a chance to restore peace on Earth.
My eyes widened in shock when I read that entry and heard the gasps from around the room.
"So, our goddess had a child for the God of Death?!" I heard Rachel say.
"That's...That's just fucking crazy!" Rachel shouted.
I sighed and rubbed my temples in frustration. I went to flip the page, but there wasn't another entry to read.
"That's it," I said as everyone looked at me.
"What?" my Father asked.
"That's the journal's last entry, so I'm going to assume Andre was killed some years after this last entry," I told everyone and closed the journal.
"So, who was the vampire?" I asked no one in particular.
"I can fill in the gaps for you, son," my Mother said as we looked at her.
I listened as my Mother told me the story about Draco and his son Alaric. Mom also said that when she had the vision of touching the ring, she saw Alpha Godric fighting alongside Adonis in the war against the vampires.
"So that was Selene's plan," I said as everyone looked at me.
"What's that, son?" my Father asked.
"Don't you see?"
"Alpha Godric had a daughter, and Adonis had two sons, Dad," I said as my Father's eyes widened with realization.
"Helio, or Grandfather, was supposed to be mated to Alpha Godric's daughter," I said, hearing my Mother clear her throat.
"Ace, Godric's daughter, wasn't a white wolf. She..." I shook my head.
"Mom, Selene would've made sure at least one of their pups would've been born a white wolf."
"She was an Alpha's daughter, and Helio couldn't have been no more than two when she was born," I said.
"Cinco, neto"(Five, grandson). I heard my great-Grandmother.
"Hélio tinha cinco anos e Áquila tinha dois na época"(Helio was five, and Aquila was two at the time). I nodded and looked at everyone.
"But since she was kidnapped and killed, Selene had to try again with you, Father, and Mother," I said, and they both looked at me.
"But the question is, are we still safe?"
"Do we know if Alaric or Abaddon sired any children before they died?" I asked as everyone thought it over.
Rachel POV
When Ace asked if the two vampires had children, everyone was stumped because no one knew.
"Sorina might know," I heard Staci say.
"Magnus might know something since his Father was once a follower of Alaric during the war," Antonio added. I sighed and rubbed my temples as a headache was coming.
"Let's just ask them," I said as all eyes turned to me.
"I would rather be safe than sorry later on," I sighed as Rayne grunted.
After the decision-making, Ace linked Liam to ask Sorina to come to the castle to talk about the vampire. We heard knocking on the door a few minutes later, and Ace told Sorina and Liam to come in.
"Liam and Sorina, hello, this will be quick. I promise."
"I just need to ask a question," Ace said as Sorina nodded.
"Sure thing, Your Majesty. What's up?" Sorina smiled and showed her fangs.
"During your time with Abaddon, did you know if he sired any children?" Ace asked, and Sorina shifted uncomfortably in her seat.
"I was only with Abaddon for a short time, sir."
"As far as any children, I never seen any, and Abaddon spent most of his time in the castle in Romania," Sorina said as Ace nodded.
"Thank you, Sorina. You may leave," Ace said as Sorina and Liam bowed and left the office.
"Time to call Magnus," Ace said as he picked up the office phone and dialed the number for the vampire kingdom.
After a few rings, someone answered the phone, and Ace asked to speak to King Magnus. The person put Ace on hold, and within a few minutes, Magnus picked up the phone.
"Magnus, it's Ace," I heard chuckling as Magnus spoke to Ace.
"Everything is good, and thank you," Ace said.
"Listen, I'm calling because I need some information," I heard Magnus hum and then speak.
"What's up?" Ace cleared his throat before he said.
"Did your Father ever mention if Alaric sired any children before he was killed?" there was a long pause.
"From what I know, Alaric had a son, but no one has seen him since Alaric's death."
"Why do you ask?" Ace sighed and told Magnus about his ancestor's journal and his writing about the goddess Selene and the first vampire.
"That is very interesting, to say the least, Your Majesty."
"Let me ask about Alaric's son."
"I don't know his name personally, but a few older vampires who knew my Father still lurk around. If I get any helpful information, I will pass it your way," Ace grunted and thanked Magnus. Ace hung up the phone and looked at everyone.
"Well, you all heard. Alaric has a son out there."
"Maybe," I sighed as Rayne hummed.
"Should we be worried?" I heard Carlito ask.
"I don't think so, but if the time comes and we have a battle on our hands, we will fight to protect our kingdom and pups," Ace said as everyone nodded.
"Okay, it's been a long day, and I'm tired. Let's all go to bed," Ace said as we left the office.
After Ace and I showered, we dressed for bed. I sighed as my head hit the pillow.
"Are you okay, Rachel?" I turned over and wrapped my arms around Ace.
"Just thinking," I said as Ace kissed my forehead.
"Want to talk about it?" Ace asked as I tried to keep the tears from falling.
"I'm afraid, Ace," I said as he pulled me closer to his chest and against his warmth.
"Rachel, I know you're scared. I'm scared, too, but I know I would do everything possible to keep you and our family safe."
"I would die knowing you and our sons get to live to continue fighting the good fight," I sighed and kissed Ace's chest as he kissed the top of my head.
With that, I closed my eyes and drifted to a dream-filled sleep.
