The Rebellious Omega

Chapter 163

Blair POV

flying across the floor.

The door slammed open and I saw Sarah's shocked expression as she took in the pure rage on Julia's face and the silver dagger in her hand. I watched horrified as Julia swung her hand towards Sarah who had little time to react, hitting her hard and sending her "Sarah" I rasped, seeing her body lying prone, not moving.

Julia gave a sickening grin. "She was always such a weakling, even for a royal wolf. Should have paid better attention during training" she said with a hiss.

I was angry now, even as I felt paralyzed, Julia turning back to me with devious intentions written right across her face. "Don't do this Julia" I pleaded, even as I felt my own body beginning to vibrate with anger. "Shut up, and die already" she whispered, "I want you to leave me and Braedon in peace."

I could feel my strength returning. She hadn't drugged me with enough wolfsbane and I tackled her as I heard footsteps approaching and the sound of the door opening in a rush. "You dare try to harm me and my unborn pup" I snarled, wrestling the dagger off of her with ease as she gaped at me.

I plunged it into her stomach as she let out a howl of pain, my eyes darkening, my wolf surging to the surface, like an old friend that brought nothing but comfort to me. I wasn't finished with her, not by a long shot. I raised my eyes to see Braedon in the doorway and pulled the dagger out of her stomach, slamming it into her hand and effectively pinning her to the floor as she writhed and screamed, her hand bubbling and burning due to the silver. She couldn't shift. Please visit Jo b nib.com and search the book title to read the entire book for free. Good. I scrambled to my feet, James rushing past me to see to his mate who was beginning to stir on the ground. Josie's eyes were wide, a hand to her mouth as she tentatively peered through the doorway, a look of regret on her face. "Blair" Braedon growled, grabbing me and pulling me in tight, sniffing my scent and inhaling my aroma, his body tense and stiff, his eyes filled with concern "I was so worried" he growled, shooting Julia a dirty look.

I exhaled and glanced towards Josie who edged further into the room "Josie is innocent" I breathed and Braedon nodded, looking apologetic.

"I'm sorry Blair" Josie whispered, walking towards me "This is all my fault, if I had just come to you and explained..." she trailed off as I waved a dismissive hand at her.

"Whatever you want to say can wait," I said as kindly as I could manage as Julia hissed and flailed her legs, attempting to pull the knife out with little success, "right now I think we need to get some answers."

Julia sneered at us. James assisted Sarah to her feet. "I'm taking her to the hospital to be checked over," he said and we nodded.

I stood on Julia's other hand, causing her to howl. "What is your relation with Stella?" I asked deliberately.

Julia gave a sinister laugh "Do you really think I'm going to tell you anything?" she asked with sarcasm "Oh Blair, you stupid naive child, why I saved your life back then, I'll never know. I should have let your mother and father kill you when I had the chance" she spat out and I stilled.

My mother and father? What on earth was she talking about? Did she know who my parents were? I chanced a glance at Braedon and saw the look of guilt on his face, something that didn't go unnoticed by Julia who gave a giggle.

"You haven't told her have you Braedon? How naughty" she teased, panting and forgetting that she was pinned to the ground "how could you keep Blair's parentage from her after I told you everything?" she said maliciously.

"Braedon," I said lowly, turning to look at my mate, who had a vicious expression on his face as he stared down at Julia "What is she talking about? Do you know who my parents are?" I demanded.

Julia snorted, glancing between the two of us with amusement, while Josie remained silent, her face going pale. "Of course he does, but I see he hasn't bothered to inform you," she said with glee "I guess he thought it wasn't important enough to tell you about," she told me.

I forced myself to take deep breaths. There was enough rage shooting through me that I was struggling to hold my wolf back, who wanted nothing more than to shift and tear Julia into shreds. I knew she was provoking me and deliberately antagonising me. But the notion that Braedon had deliberately had withheld important information from me, was causing me untold pain. How could he do this to me, when he knew how much it meant to me to find out who they were? Did he think I couldn't handle the truth? I wasn't some delicate maiden that needed to be handled with kid gloves.

Braedon tightened his lips. "Yes, I know who your parents are" he confessed and my eyes blazed as I stared at him, feeling betrayed by the one man who should have had my back "But I was planning on telling you Blair, I swear. I just wanted to wait until the time was right" he added but I shook my head, feeling bitter.

"You should have told me, instead of keeping it from me. There is no right time to tell somebody you know who left them abandoned in some forest to die" I cried out, glaring at him "You had no right to make that decision for me. I can't believe you" I snapped. He sighed "Can we just focus on getting answers out of Julia" he growled "and table this discussion for later, when you can yell at me for as long as you want?"

I glared at him and then stomped on Julia's hand. "How do you know Stella?"

Julia giggled even though I heard several of the bones in her hand break beneath the strain of my foot. "Oh Blair" she sighed "you're so desperate for answers. Here's what I can tell you," she said sweetly, her big eyes gazing up at me "Stella has no relation to me, in fact, the only thing we have in common is our dislike of you and that somebody wanted her here and they paid me a lot of money to ensure she got an invitation to the pack."
