The Prodigy Antaris - a secret World of magic #1

Chapter 28

Preparing for our wedding was chaotic and exciting. Although I already had a vision of what everything should look like, it was much more difficult to implement it. Ava and Jade were of great help in the preparations, and Inna tried to keep up and support me during my pregnancy. Lilly enjoyed spending time with us women, and I could understand her when she said we were the first friends she had in her life. Just like Lilly, I didn't know friendship before I came to Antaris, and I was happy that she loved us all so much. Even though I had a lot to do, I always found time for Lilly and tried to tell her as much about us as I could. She should know that we also had difficult times behind us, but that friendship made everything easier.

Antaris was secured after Ava's kidnapping, and every portal that was used had to be reported to Avery and me. In addition, every time someone arrived in Antaris, a group of warriors was on hand to ward off potential attacks. After Jade and Noah returned home, there was no longer any reason for anyone to leave Antaris, and leaving Antaris on their own was forbidden for the safety of all of us.

The admission of new residents and refugees was now also more closely guarded and checked in order to avoid what King Elior experienced. But so far, Evelyn was the only new addition to Antaris, and so the presence of Lilly strengthened our home, and we finally were completely protected.

At the beginning, she was a bit shy and cautious because she was carrying a big burden with her. But after the angel sword was safely hidden and secured with elven magic, you could also see the relief on Lilly's face. The sword was hidden with magic in a painting that could only be freed from the painting in the presence of an elf and Lilly together. It was secured and under guard right next to the painting of our parents that King Elior once showed me when I arrived in Antaris. Just touching the painting would petrify anyone who didn't have permission, and even then, it was a big procedure to touch it because the power of the sword was enormous and capable of destroying any being who had no angel blood.

When Avery and Lilly secured the sword in the painting together, he promised her that no one except the three of us would ever know about the sword's hiding place. Evelyn finally felt comfortable in our home, and that was the only thing we wanted. We all had a close relationship with her, her friendly nature was contagious, and we enjoyed her company. However, out of all of us, Devas got her most attention. It's been three months since she's been with us, and the wedding is in a few days.

"Those emerald green dresses for us bridesmaids are so beautiful!" Ava gushed while looking at the dress I picked out for my friends.

"Well, I hope you won't be prettier than me on my wedding day," I said, laughing as I sat down on one of the armchairs.

"You'll be the most beautiful bride I've seen!" Jade replied as she looked at the dress she was trying on in front of the large mirror.

"It's good for you all to be slim and extremely fit while I already look like an inflated balloon," I replied with a laugh while stroking my already visible baby bump.

An elf pregnancy only lasted 6 months, and I was already halfway through. The little ones in my belly were already eagerly kicking, and I felt extremely happy every time I felt them.

The bachelorette party organized by Ava was supposed to take place at a secret location that she wouldn't tell us until tomorrow evening. Avery told me that he would probably celebrate with the boys that evening too, but they didn't keep it much of a secret. Everything was ready for our wedding. All the residents of Antaris were invited, and all that was left to do was the bachelorette party.

"Please no stripping elves or any other nonsense!" Avery called out to us as we set off the next evening.

I will never forget Ava's evil laugh as she waved at him and the look on his face. The men said goodbye to their girls and watched us as we drove off in a huge carriage.

"You didn't organize stripping elves?" Jade asked, laughing.

"Oh, I have something even better," Ava replied excitedly.

As I sat in the carriage and we drove off, I saw the looks that Devas and Lilly exchanged. Her cheeks flushed as he whispered something to her on the stairs before we left.

"Are you okay, Lilly?" I asked her.

"I'm fine... really fine," she replied shyly as she looked at her hands and played with the small shiny ring.

"You know that you can't avoid your soulmate forever. We've already explained everything to you about how that works. And how you undress him with your eyes every time you see each other... Girrrllll!" Ava said while she laughed loudly.

"I know, I'm just very shy and cautious. He promised me he'd give me time," Lilly replied and looked at me uncertainly.

"Don't worry, he will. Devas is a man of his word," I answered confidently because I knew it was the truth.

The party took place on the beach where Ava invited all of our female friends. She had a beach bar set up and a DJ who played all night just for us. We had a lot of fun even without stripping elves, and when I got tired, it was time to go back because I needed my sleep. Tomorrow is the wedding, and I want to look good.

The excitement I felt the next morning only went away when Aidan led me to the altar. I wore a white wedding dress that was made for me by the most skilled elves. The dress fit like a glove, and even my baby bump was covered by the tulle. The bridal train was long and shone as if it were decorated with thousands of small diamonds. My hair was pinned up and made me look like a princess.

I have never seen such a beautiful dress in my life and was happy to finally become Avery's wife.

Avery was dressed in a traditional elvish robe and looked at me with watery eyes as I walked towards him. Our ceremony took place in a small setting with only friends and family in the garden of the mansion. The garden was decorated with white flowers and ribbons, and lined with white chairs along the altar. As I walked down the decorated path to the altar with Aidan, he said in a trembling voice, "Our parents would be very proud."

Our friends all stood and watched as I walked towards Avery. Tears of happiness flowed when we tied the knot, and after we kissed, there was cheering.

As we left the ceremony hand in hand and the door to the mansion opened, all the Antarians greeted us with cheers and fireworks.

"Let the celebration begin!" Avery shouted and walked hand in hand towards our guests.

The whole of Antaris was our wedding reception. Tables and chairs stood as far as I could see. There was a huge dance floor in the middle, and a band was playing.

Avery and I danced our first dance, and soon after, we invited everyone to the dance floor.

" You look so beautiful," Avery said as we slowly swayed to the music.

"Good, because you have me now until death do us part," I replied, laughing, to which Avery also laughed.

When it was time to throw the bouquet, Ava spread herself wide to make sure she caught it. And when she actually caught it, she laughed and pointed at Bael, who had to laugh.

"I think we know who's getting married next!" she shouted, laughing in Bael's direction, and everyone laughed along.

The celebration lasted all night, and people talked about our wedding for days afterwards.

Since King Elior's death, Avery has ruled Antaris, and since our wedding and the consummation of our marriage, I, as his wife, have now also become queen. The Antarians have trust in Avery, and they love him and me too. We want to fulfill our duties and only do the best for Antaris and its residents. Making decisions is sometimes not easy, and good advice can help. That's why Avery was in meetings with Aidan and Devas every day to get everything right. Just as we were sitting at our first session together as king and queen with Aidan and Devas, Lilly stormed in.

"They know about the babies!" she shouted angrily.

"What do you mean? Who knows about the babies?" I asked anxiously because I've never seen Lilly so upset.

"Abbadon! ...He and Belial are coming to get the children!" Lilly said, looking upset.
