“Sure, Mr. Ranford. If you’re not busy, let’s go together” Alexandra thought that since Julian had time to accompany her, he probably did not need to be in the office in the morning.
Julian answered and left the room to go to the study upstairs.
Just as he reached the study, Marco called.
“Hello?” Julian answered.
Marco sounded really anxious.
As Marco was about to sleep just now, Julian left him a message on WhatsApp, saying that he wanted to cancel the board meeting tomorrow morning and hold it on another day.
Board meetings were always held at the beginning of the month and on Thursdays of the first week of each month.
It was a tradition that went on for many years.

There was only one reason why Frank didn’t reply to Marco’s message. He didn’t want to talk to this foolish guy.

Julian and Alexandra were in the back seats.

me.”

They arrived at Mount Victoria Hospital.

Other than the emergency passageway, the medical checkup department was closed for the entire morning.

Alexandra did not notice that Julian had arranged for many bodyguards at different places in the hospital.
The building for medical checkups was vacant.
Alexandra stepped into Mount Victoria Hospital again. She realized that there was nobody at the reception counter, and the entire building was empty. Alexandra thought that the hospital had closed down.
Alexandra turned around and asked Julian, “Mr. Ranford, is this a holiday for the hospital? Why aren’t there many people around?”
Julian lied and said, “It’s probably a good day today. No one is sick.”
Alexandra expressed her disbelief.
Frank turned his head sideways and smiled secretly.
Frank could not imagine the amount of money the top private hospital in Highclere City would lose just by being closed for the entire morning.
It was not a problem. After all, the boss was rich!
Even if the patients did not come today, they would come the following morning and afternoon.
Even the board meeting in the company had been rescheduled. It was no big deal that the hospital was closed for the entire morning..
As promised, Julian stayed by Alexandra’s side the entire time.
Alexandra became quite nervous, and her heart was pounding faster than usual.
After the elevator door opened, Julian brought Alexandra into a room.
There were only two middle–aged nurses in the room.
They were the head nurses of Mount Victoria Hospital. Both of them were experienced and reliable.

Julian took the glass of water from the nurse’s hand and looked down at Alexandra. “Don’t be afraid. I’ll be with you the whole time. As Grams booked the best gynecological checkup for you, the process will be more complicated. You’ll be done after a nap.”
Alexandra looked at the glass in Julian’s hand. The water was clear.
She still felt a little uneasy.

Alexandra looked up at him.
Julian looked into her clear eyes and saw his reflection.

Julian promised softly, “Don’t be afraid. I’ll be with you. I’ll be by your side the entire time. I’ll be by your side even if you fall asleep, and I’ll wait here until you wake up.”
At first, Julian thought that Alexandra might still be hesitant. However, she looked at him for a few seconds and took the cup from his hand.
The water was still warm.
Alexandra looked at Julian and said, “I believe you. Don’t leave me alone. Can you leave after my checkup is done and wait for me to wake up? Mr. Ranford is that okay?”
