“Kade.” Holden said.

Fuck him. I punched the punching bag until my knuckles bled.
Holden gripped my shoulder and yanked back.
“What the hell, man?!”
“Let up man. Someone’s here to see you.”
“Tell them to fuck off. I need to kill something!”
“Are you done with your screaming match?” Tristan strolled into the Sanders‘ gym.
“What the hell do you want?” I nodded at him.
He smirked. This wasn’t the time, Tristan. Gabbie had been with that prick of Henry for an entire night. Because our bond was only half, I wouldn’t know if he slept with her. Just knowing he had already tasted her lips rattled me.
“I’ll wipe that grin off your face, Richardson.”
Tristan raised his hands in mock surrender. Holden marched off and tucked himself in a corner, just in case he needed to save Tristan.
“I come in peace. Your girl’s in trouble.”

“Supposedly attacked Leiah now she’s on the run.”
Damn it. She didn’t give me a chance to try to save her. I should have known Gabbie was a wildfire Shet didn’t need to be saved.

Attacking a Luna elect was a crime, but Gabbie was a Luna elect as well. Not officially, but she was my fated mate. It had to count for something. Attacking a Luna was a serious offence punishable by death.

I narrowed my eyes at him. Of course, this involved Gabbie’s little friend. I marched out of the gym Holden followed me.
“What’s the plan?” He asked.
“Sniff her out. Forest, quarters, she could be anywhere.”
“Sanders!”
Alex marched up to me with his band of betas behind him. This wasn’t the time to pick a fight with me. Holden grabbed my shoulder and gave me a stern look.
“Where the hell is she?” Alex asked.
“You’re the one who lost her and let your mate attack her.”
“Get your facts straight. Leiah wouldn’t attack anyone without reason.”
“Are you saying my mate does? Alex, you have no idea the type of she–wolf you have for a mate.”
Alex grimaced, “And you do?”
“She’s a Sanders wolf, isn’t she?”
No one had filled Alex in on the numerous insults Lelah hurled at Gabbie the incident with the omega boy or the time in the woods, but Harlow was dominantly the ringleader in that incident.

I snapped free of Holden and shoved Alex into the arms of his betas.
“Kade!” Holden barked.
“She’ll never be your mistress. You won’t ever put your hands on her.”
“Gabbie’s always been mine.”

“Right now, you can’t protect her. I’m going to protect her from everything, including you.”
“Let’s go, man. We’ve got stuff to do, remember?” Holden said.
He was right. I had to find Gabbie before Alex and his goons did. Alex blocked my path.

“Gabbie’s mine man. When she’s found, she’s coming back to me.”
My knuckles itched to knock his teeth out, but Gabbie didn’t want us to fight. Besides, it would waste my time.

I exhaled deeply. The consequences for attacking a Luna elect were deadly. There were no rules about
