There was no time to go back to the quarters and get another underwear so I had to go to my next class. which was sewing. It was a class that didn’t require that much movement so I didn’t have to worry about doing anything risky that might expose my butt and vagina. This was a class that only women took. Blair wasn’t in this class because she was a year ahead of me. Emery was still here because she kept flunking this class.
“Hand over your work by tomorrow morning. Remember we have midterms in two weeks. Class dismissed.”
“Mid–terms? Do we go home after that?” I asked Emery.
She bobbed her head. “If you want to. Last year Dixon pack gammas and betas were told to stay for extra training that was because they were facing an invasion.

“If you do badly on your exams you have to do summer school. Imagine I had to be here just because. of this stupid class!”
I grimaced. I needed to make up for that hospitality class. I couldn’t stay here!
“What did Kade do to Harlow?” She whispered as we navigated through the crowded halls.
“Nothing. I don’t think he’s going to do anything. He should let her be.”
Emery frowned, “But you’re his rightful mate!”
“Shh… no one can know. Harlow knows and she wants to kill me.”
Emery smiled, “Kade likes you if he didn’t he would have rejected you. He won’t let anything come between you guys. Now I have to go meet… you know who.”
“And you know whose girlfriend isn’t suspicious?” I hissed..
Emery’s shoulders slumped, “I’m a horrible person, aren’t I?”
“I don’t think so, but you should really consider what you want. I know he’s an alpha and all but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a choice.”
A smile returned to her face. She bounced off like the Emery we all know and love. It was my time to swallow my pride and talk to my hospitality lecturer.
I should have known how that would end up. I groaned when I walked out of the classroom. I would have to score seventy or above not to flunk this class. How could he punish me for getting hurt?
“Gabbie.” Eva walked up to me.

My heart slammed forward. I had to keep myself from stumbling into the wall. “You?”
“Do you have a minute? I’ve been meaning to talk to you.”
I looked around for the rest of her crew. She was alone.
“Don’t worry about the girls.”
“This isn’t-
She shook her head, “I’m not here to attack you. I want to talk. Is that okay?”
Was I a fool to trust an alpha female when all the ones I met tried to kill and embarrass me? Eva didn’t carry any threat I felt that in my soul. I couldn’t explain it but I was at case around her. Maybe it was a superpower of hers.
We ended up at the park near the beta’s training ground. We could partly see and hear the beta’s beating the crap out of each other. I was worried about being this close to them. I hadn’t had the best experience with beta wolves.
“Can we make this quick?” I asked.
Eva nodded. “I can understand you’re uncomfortable When are Kade and you going to make things official?”
I swallowed the lump in my throat. “I… I never got the chance to say thank you for getting Kade that day. Harlow would have killed me if you hadn’t.”
“Yes, she would have and Leiah would have loved it. I never signed up for that. Frankly, I thought Kade just found an omega on the side. I had no idea the moon goddess was involved.”
“It’s strange. Because I don’t have a wolf I was unable to recognize my mate.”
“Don’t beat yourself up…”
“It’s more than that. I feel like I stole Kade from Harlow. Maybe she has a point. Kade’s pack would never accept me. I’m actually worse than an omega.”
Eva laughed softly, “It takes time for people to see the potential in themselves. You can hold your own just fine. But you have to do something about Harlow I know her and defeat isn’t in her dictionary.”
“What do I do? She’s got more influence-
“If you become Kade’s mate in the eyes of the school you become protected. Fated mates don’t have to go through the stuff chosen mates go through. Attacking a Luna elect is a crime here.”
My brows knitted together. It wasn’t that simple. I’m sure there are other laws here that are swept under the rug.
“What about Alex?”
Eva frowned, “What about him? He chose his mate. He’ll get over it“.

I turned the corner on the second hallway of the castle. Eneeded to submit my project from the sewing class. The class was almost abandoned and the halls were silent. I heard the heavy footsteps behind me I thought nothing of it until a hand wrapped around my mouth and dragged me into a dark room.
I screamed against the meaty hand. The person tightened his hold on my mouth, mulling my screams. The man had a thick arm around my waist is massive frame pressed me against the wall 1 couldn’t kick anything but the wall. My arms were glued to my side and biting wasn’t an option.
“You’re not going to scream are you, sweetheart?”
Baxter! I mulled his name.
“That’s a yes, isn’t it? No, one’s going to hear you anyway.”
Baxter removed his hand but kept me pressed again the wall.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“Scared? I have the upper hand now.”
The storage room he shoved us into was full of boxes, and brooms. A broomstick falling on his head. wouldn’t be enough to free me. Maybe whatever was in those boxes.
“What are you doing?”
“Don’t be so difficult Gabbie!”
I scowled. He locked me in a small room and I was being difficult. Baxter stroked my face and I froze. What now? He growled under his breath. He started grinding his body against mine.
“Don’t do that.” I whispered. “Please don’t.”
“You can’t see it, right?” He said, calmly.
“See what?”

She spun me so quickly air got caught in my throat. I coughed a little.
He glared into my eyes. A shadow of a wolf flashed in his eyes. My heart pounded so fast my chest hurt. How did I get out of this?
He leaned his head back and frowned. “I get it now. Who marked you?
“What? No on.” My voice trembled. My arms were still locked down by my sides I couldn’t hide my
mark.
Baxter brushed my hair aside and stroked Kade’s mark.
“A Sanders mark. Nah, I don’t believe this. A Sanders mated with an omega? Did you force him?”
“Ugh! Let me go!”
“Who is he?”
“Doesn’t matter. I can’t accept your interest. I’m sure other girls would love to put up with you.” I forced a smile. Why would he want me anyway? He hated me?
“You hate me anyway!”
“I don’t. I think you’re sexy as hell. Shame about the wolf situation, but this was an invitation to be my mistress. I’ll be getting out of here soon and I need one”

He smirked. “Don’t want your mate to find you? Tell me which Sanders wolf was dumb enough to mark you?”
I raised my knee to inflict a heatwave of pain on him but Baxter snapped his legs between my thigh before I could make contact with his crotch..
He threw his head back and laughed. “One step ahead of you this time, Gabbie. I’ll find out who he is.”
He stepped back, creating enough room for me to escape. I burst out of the room and ran to the sewing classroom but I could still hear Baxter’s laughter.
