The Omega Best Friend

Chapter 29

Chapter 29

McGregor Royalty

Kade kidnapped me after the day was over. He took me to the river where we were first intimate. I gave him another blowjob. This time I could handle him a lot better. I took his entire length in the back of my throat. The sneaking around and subtle looks around the academy continued for days. Kade hated it every day but he didn’t understand the situation I was in.

I couldn’t wrap my head around how things would be when our secret was finally out

“This has to be the biggest exam of our lives girls,” Emery said.

“It’s just a cooking class Emery.” Blair slammed.

Yeah for the alphas. They want to be treated like royalty and even that isn’t enough,” I said.

Blair rolled her eyes. “I’m fine with being average.”

Since many omegas worked at their respective alpha’s homes we needed to be skilled in various attributes. We would be graded on cooking, cleaning, silence and our ability to be invisible to our alphas and lunas. It should have been an easy class but the alphas tended to make things difficult.

The group assignment was cooking a four–course meal. I was on soup duty but I was a decent cook so I was confident I wouldn’t flunk this class. The alpha castle had two massive kitchens so everyone was awarded their own space.

“Keep your heads down and we’ll make it out alive.” Blair hissed as we carried trays of steaming homemade soup. I was satisfied with how mine came out. The two lecturers stood at the back of the massive round dining room with their notepads taking scores.

Emery placed a white bowl in front of Tristan. He smiled at her. Thank goodness Jade wasn’t there to see that. Blair got Alex and I definitely wasn’t going for Leiah. She would say she hated it just to give me a bad grade. I could rule out Harlow. I searched for Eya but she received a bowl from a blond boy and smiled. Gareth was another option but he was taken too.

I glanced at Kade. He watched me expectantly. He wouldn’t give me an easy win, would he? The corners of his mouth lifted as I approached. I failed to suppress my blush. I settled in the tray in front of him. He brushed my hand and grinned. He didn’t say anything.

Since the alphas were set, Leiah was already complaining. I turned to fade into the background.

-Uh.”

“Oops, my soup.” The white bowl shattered into pieces.

“Harlow, what the fuck?” Kade blasted..  Sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ (F)indNƟvᴇl.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

I shuffled away from them cradling my arms and my belly. I rubbed off the boiling substance to ease the burning sensation. I hit the wall and trembled. The soup got on my shirt and I couldn’t escape the

heat.

“Gabbie…” a lecturer hurried over to me. She gripped my arm and I snatched it back.

She touched the burned part. My skin sizzled and burned with no end.

“What happened?” The lecturer demanded.

I took my eyes off my red flesh to look at Harlow. She pouted and folded her hands together.

“My soup was horrible so I got up to take it to the kitchen. I didn’t see the omega standing there.” Harlow said

I trembled with pain and fury. She’s such a liar. She would never take her own plate to the kitchen. Did she even know where it was

“Ms Harlow you could have told one of the omegas to take it for you.” The female lecturer scolded. She placed her hand on my back to show an ounce of support for me.

“It was an honest mistake.” Harlow batted her lashes.

The male lecturer walked up to us. Kade hadn’t sat down. I felt his stare hot on me. I caught Emery

rembling near Blair something I hadn’t seen in a while. Concern on Alex’s face. Leiah scowled at me to sit down but his gaze remained on me.

“Yes, it was a simple mistake. Gabbic, clean up your mess.” The male lecturer said.

Harlow smiled triumphantly she sat down gracefully and didn’t bat another lash at me. My lip trembled as the one person who supported me left me to support her colleague.

“Mistake?” I rasped.

The lady lecturer’s brows dipped, “Yes Gabbie.”

“Now clean this up. The man ordered.

This time Harlow glanced over her shoulder. I would love to turn her white hair brown with the soup next to her. She could clean up her own broom. I hugged my middle and fan out of the dining room. The male teacher yelled my name but I would be damned if went back.

Alone by the river, I was allowed to weep. My skin was turning black and purple. When I lifted my shirt my middle was completely red and the burning sensation and throbbing were getting worse.

“I’m done with this place,” I sobbed. I stared at my reflection in the shallow water. A tear rolled off my chin and landed in the water. “I want to go home.”

“Gabbie,” Kade marched up to me.

I stood too quickly and hurt my middle. He took one look at my arms and cursed.

“I want to be alone”

I backed away from him. A part of me blamed him for loving me. I looked at the sand. Maybe I would Save Dillen for him anyway. He held my arm and stroked it with his thu

“You’re not going to but her are you?”

“I wouldn’t hit het but she will pay for this. Din sorry Gabbie. Believe me, mate.”

Tears but up in my eyes 1 do just want to go home.”

He shook his head and held my face. Power moved from his palm it soothed me but the burning NOTESITANT TETIKAined. He moved his hand from my fake and held my throat.

“What are you doing here?” Alex barked

My heart slammed forward. No, not now. I grabbed the back of Kade’s shirt and squeezed. Not now. I

“Timber alpha!” He barked.

The men came face to face. Kade straightened his back. I came between them before their hot heads. boiled over.

What do you want Alex I mean Alpha Alex, you didn’t want anything to do with me before.” I said quickly

“I want to check on you is that so bad: Now why is he here touching you? He isn’t your alpha. He isn’t anything” He blasted in my face.

He was wrong Kade was everything. It was Kade’s turn to grab the back of my shirt but I thought he was going to lift me off the ground and proceed to beat Alex up. Instead, he walked in front of me.

I’ll leave that to your imagination. He marched off

His name was on the tip of my tongue. I was so pathetic. I watched him leave.

“Gabbie” Alex grounded out my name.

“Nothing nothing. He apologized for Harlow,” It wasn’t a total lie.

“Why would he do that?”

“Maybe because he isn’t as bad as you make him seem.” I snapped

“Don’t get it twisted Gabbie. Kade’s a jackass who hates omegas. You know his pack. Besides, I came to

I rolled my eyes that didn’t make up for how he’d been treating me.

“It isn’t that difficult to break out of there.” I said looking at the ground.

My heart broke for Kade. Would he forgive me?

Alex placed his hand on the small of my back and shuffled me closer.

“What are you doing?”

“Healing you. You can’t do it yourself.”

I sought interest in the swooshing waters. Alex took the liberty to wrap me in his arms. So tight I felt every muscle under his clothes. This felt wrong even though he was just trying to help. Alex grunted as he ran his hands up and down my back. I shut my eyes and gasped as a massive load of power slammed into me. He kept feeding me energy. It was too much. My legs went limp.

Alex cupped my ass to keep me up. Despite my oozy state, I was alert. Alex had never touched me like that before! He picked me off the ground and cradled me in his arms. He stared at me. What were we doing?

I thought he would say something but he kept his mouth shut. He carried me away from the lake.
