Chapter 397
Michael returned to attend his grandfather's birthday gathering. He had received Abbie's call, but he couldn't get through to her
after that.
There was no reply from her on Whatsapp too. She had blocked him, and this made him anxious. His grandfather's 80th birthday
was not something to be trifled with, so he did not dare leave in the midst of it. He could only ask a bodyguard to go look for her.
When the bodyguard found Abbie, he was relieved. He immediately left once the dinner was over and answered the phone call
from his bodyguard. After hearing what the bodyguard said, he immediately scolded, "Are you dumb? Why didn't you
immediately stop this from happening?"
The bodyguard in black rushed out after them. Abbie was being helped by the two men in the parking lot. Michael's bodyguard
blocked their path and said, "Let her go."
"You... who the hell are you?" Abbie looked at the bodyguard with eyes wide open. "I know you! You... you are Michael's... that
b*stard's bodyguard!"
"Miss Cook, you've had too much to drink. I'll take you home!" The bodyguard greeted her respectfully.
"Who... who the hell needs you to take me home? I.... I can... I can... return myself!" Abbie looked at the two men that were
supporting her, and curled her lips into a smile. "You two... even though you don't look like good people, I will disregard this
today! Both of you should wait on me!"
Of course, they were ecstatic as they heard this. But Michael's bodyguard would never let them do that. "Let her go! Or else I
won't let you escape!"
"B*stard! You... you are just like Michael Davis! What a j*rk! How dare you... threaten the men I like! Do you want to die?"
Abbie swore, "Both of you...go...go beat up... this.. b*stard from the Davis family! Beat him... into a pulp!"
She asked both of them to beat up Michael Davis's bodyguard. Alas, they would never dare do that!
The door of an SUV beside them opened, and two men came out. After that, they pushed Michael's bodyguard aside.
"Beat him to death! If anything...happens, I'll deal with it!" Abbie was drunk. She watched blurrily as they pushed Michael's
bodyguard away. She remembered that she didn't bring any bodyguards. Or did she forget that she had?
Anyway, those who stopped Michael's bodyguards were on her side.
It would be best if they could beat him to death! She didn't care if they were going to get into a fight, and she took out her car
keys. She turned to the men helping her up. "Go over there, do you see that Maserati? Go drive it here."
They were shocked as they saw her car. She was indeed elegant and they could tell that she was a rich lady. But they didn't
know that she even had bodyguards with her.
Looking at the two men who suddenly appeared and started pushing Michael's bodyguard as if they were going to start a fight,
they were frightened and wanted to run away.
What surprised them was that Abbie held out her hand and patted one of them on their face. "I have never experienced an orgy
before. Why don't... we try it tonight! Go on, get the car!"
They were initially afraid when the bodyguards turned up and had lost interest in bringing Abbie home. But when she said this,
desire sparked in them again. Someone who had bodyguards and drove a luxurious car was giving them a chance, so how could
they let go of this special opportunity?
The two of them immediately went to get the car and helped her in.
The car sped to the Wolf Group, and Michael's bodyguard was frustrated that he was stopped. "You guys aren't Miss Cook's
bodyguards, right? I'm telling you, if anything happens to her, you guys will be dead!"
"Shut up and move aside!" They tied his hands together and pushed him next to his car. Once they opened the door, they
knocked him out in one blow and left.
Once Michael was off the highway, he called his bodyguard to ask about how it went.
However, he couldn't get through.
What the hell was going on? Michael could sense that something was amiss, so he kept calling as he accelerated along the
road.
After half an hour, his bodyguard finally answered the phone.
"What's wrong with you? Why couldn't I get through to you earlier?"
"I..." The bodyguard had just come to his senses, but he was still in a daze. However, Michael didn't wait for him to answer,
"Where's Abbie?"
"Sir, Miss Cook was taken away!"
"What?" Michael thought that he'd heard wrongly.
"I wanted to stop Miss Cook, but two guys suddenly appeared. I think they were Miss Cook's bodyguards. They stopped me from
approaching and even knocked me out."
"Ugh, you piece of sh*t! So you don't know where she is?"
"She was taken away by two men! I saw her get on the car!"
"You're pissing me off! You can't even fight them? What did I hire you for?" Michael was so angry that he shouted at him.
The bodyguard felt aggrieved. "I wanted to stop them, but I couldn't. Miss Cook's bodyguards were too strong. They were able to
stop me easily...."
Michael was so angry that he let out a humorless laugh. "Do you think that I don't know who her bodyguards are? Are you f*king
sure that they are her bodyguards?"
"If they're not her bodyguards, then whose bodyguards are they?" His bodyguard was confused.
Michael was furious. "You fool! Do you know where they went?"
"I don't know! I just watched her being taken away!"
"F*ck!" Michael swore. If they were really her bodyguards, they wouldn't allow anyone to bully her. He should just go over to her
apartment to take a look.
Michael immediately went to Abbie's apartment. He rang the doorbell countless times, but no one answered.
He was at a loss. If she wasn't at home, could she be at a hotel?
There were so many hotels in the city. How could he check on all of them?
He did not have many connections in B City too. If he were to make a scene about looking for Abbie, Aiden would definitely know
about it.
Michael thought for a while and could only go to Joseph for help, but his phone was turned off.
Joseph's phone had never been turned off.
What was going on that night?
The other person who could help was James, so he called him. "Abbie was taken away by two men, so can you help me find out
what happened?"
"What's there to check?" James smiled.
"Miss Cook is an unmarried single lady. There's nothing wrong with her being in a relationship with other men."
"My a*s! You had better check what is happening. It won't do us any good if something happens to her."
"May I know what claim do you have over Miss Cook? You're seeking her out as her brother-in-law? You're engaged to her
sister! Aren't you afraid that word would get out? I think we should tell Mr. Cook about this..."
"I can't tell Aiden! James, I owe you one. Can you just help me out?" Michael softened his tone.
James smiled and said, "Michael, look at you. You're looking for Miss Cook at this time of the night. Isn't this unreasonable? I'll
help you if you tell me why."
"Are you doing this on purpose, James? You very well know our relationship! I don't believe that you didn't hear it from your
boss."
"My boss will never gossip about others. I really don't know what your relationship with Miss Cook is. I only know that you are
Abbie's future brother-in-law..."
"Sh*t, I'm fu*king... You had better listen clearly, James Field. Abbie Cook is my woman!"
