The murder card

Chapter 30

Dear diary, Reis family tree project is doing well. So far we have learned all victims have ancestors from Europe. A great piece of information but sadly, it stops there. He is unable to find any information earlier than the year 1600, as if nothing existed before that. But we all know information beyond that point is available. Like in my case for instance. I too was interested in my roots, so I did a personal research for myself and was able to find information dating all the way back to first human in Africa. Through that I was able to discover I have Japanese blood running through my veins, even though I don’t look Asian. My later ancestors lived in Eastern Europe, where I live now and look the part. My point is, I was able to discover more about myself than Rei is able to discover about these people. That means, something is blocking the information Rei is desperately trying to find. Which makes us think, we are on the right path of discovering something. For now, Reis research has not yet been finished or proved, but Quins theory has a solid evidence. She long suspected the abuse of handicapped people for research. Thanks to our tiny cameras, it sadly turned out, she was correct. Deep below their main building lies a hidden laboratory. More we find out about these people, the more horrible they seem. Doctors and scientists working for EasyWay, were and are still terribly abusing the handicapped, in many different, terrible ways. Firstly, they saved money by doing this. Not only were they tools for research, they were also served as a rare meal for the elite, while watching their favorite show. For those who didn’t end up as a meal, another purpose was found. They were injected will all sorts of drugs, liquids even Quin couldn’t identify. Must I emphasize it was torture to them? All of this, was starting to take a tool on Ian. It did on all of us, but he was crushed the most. He could barely eat, barely sleep, all he could was worry and stress. I guess his mind never imagined such horrors. I’ve come to notice that in some ways, he thinks pure almost in a childlike way. He still good in everything and everyone. He always strongly believed, someday the world will change for the better, that this is nothing more than a phase. But I think his hope is slowly disappearing, just like his fire that drives him. He was raised by two strong parents, who loved him deeply, always taught him that in the end, good will always prevail. So they started this organization and passed on to Ian when they died. He was never clear on how they died, he doesn’t like talking about it. All I know is, he was only a young teenager when it happened, so when it did, Rei who was close friend of his parents took him in and took care of him. SO he was raised away from norms of society and was able to develop a mind of his own, different from his peers. He is very strong because of his past, but still very sensitive and always willing to lend a helping hand. Despite what we saw and learned, he does not wish to end anyone of the guilty. Wed be no better than them if we killed them, he says, which in a way is true. But then again, they deserve to suffer the pain of thousand deaths I think, caused by the ones they have hurt, the public. But it’s his call what well do. But if we were to be left without a choice and if we were caught in a life or death situation, I think Ina would be able to end them all, for greater good.
