The Missing Princess

“I know that little shit is still alive. I can feel our family connection. I do not fucking understand why it is so fucking hard to find one kid. Kodi would be 20 by now.” I growl.

“I know, but whoever is hiding him must be living somewhere off the grid. That is the only explanation I can come up with. I know he was there in the house that night. I have no idea how Randy was able to get him past us and to somewhere safe. I never saw anyone else come around until Alpha Aaron showed up. He was able to get to Randy and take him to his pack to treat him. Not that it worked, Randy still died . I personally went through the house a few days later to see if I could find any hints as to where the brat might be. I did not find anything. There was quite a bit of stuff there that was geared towards a little girl living there.” Lamar states.

“None of this would have happened if my fucking parents would have given the damn throne to me instead of my slutty little sister. I need to find out how they found out what I had planned.” I point out.

“I was able to find out. It was your father. He had a suspicion that you were up to something so he had a couple of the servants watch you. I still have not been able to find out which servants, but they reported everything they heard and saw to him.” Xalamar comments.

That damn throne should be mine, but now my twin nephews sit on it. My parents had raised me to rule until she was born. I did not agree with how they ran our kingdom. They wanted to allow shit that I did not believe. I wanted to close our kingdom to outsiders and ban mixed species mating. I had the law stating that if a fey found his or her mate outside our species they had to reject them immediately which was ready to be signed as soon as I was crowned. I had all my most trusted people in place and we were all on the same page. Then they decided that I was not a suitable king and gave my crown to Estella. My mother was the true power on the throne. She was the princess, but had found her mate in my father who was from a different fey kingdom. Of course I knew about my mother being half light fey and half dark fey, but for some reason unknown to me I did not receive any of their power. My nephews have some of the dark fey power but not that much more than I have. They are powerful in their own right since their father is the prince of his coven. His family can trace their lineage back to Hecate the goddess that gave them their powers. I have not stepped foot in the kingdom since Estella turned 13. They made it blatantly clear that she was their favourite. I turn my head when I hear a door slam. My son Eros and his friend Jeremy walk in. They are still upset about losing the last surfing competition. Both of the boys are 23 and are helping me in trying to find my missing nephew.

“Did you happen to see anyone that looked like Kodi there?” I asked.

“Sorry dad, we did not. There was a Kodi there but it was a fucking girl. She is the one who won the damn competition.” Eros grumbles.

“They let a girl participate in the men’s competition?” Lamar asks.

“Yea, the world surfing league invited her. She is the top women’s surfer. She is the best in the world. I will admit she is fucking amazing, but she should have not been allowed to participate in that competition. All the other guys know her and they were on her side when we voiced our opinion on her being there.” Jeremy explains.

“What does this Kodi look like?” I asked.

Eros pulls out his phone and starts scrolling through his photo gallery. The three of us stare at the picture when he flipped his phone around to show us the girl. Damn, she is beautiful with her long copper/blonde hair and eyes the color of fire that go well with her light tan skin tone. There is something weirdly familiar about her, but I am not sure why. I do not have the time to think about this right now.

“How are the guys in Hawaii fairing? Have they found more suitable targets?” I asked.

“Yes, they have six already and from what Fernando told me, there are two more that they are waiting on. Ulomon and Danar found two perfect targets in Southern California attending college. They should have them by tonight. They are waiting outside the airport ready to follow them and strike when the opportunity presents itself.” Xalamar answers.

“Good, it would be nice if they got a few more but 8 is a good number. They will transport them straight here to our holding facility until the buyers arrive in a week.” I say.

“Yes, as soon as they have the other two they are getting the hell out of Hawaii and heading straight to the holding facility. I have already notified the buyers and they are thrilled that we will have them within the week.” Lamar added.

I tell them to make sure that these girls won’t be missed. We ran into an issue the last time. The idiots took a girl that happened to be the daughter of a very highly decorated navy seal. That whole situation was a fucking shit show. I normally try to stay away from supernaturals, but in recent years I have had numerous requests for power supernaturals. It is usually a king or alpha that is power hungry and wants a supernatural who has powerful magic to help them conquer more land. I only go after supernatural women by request. This time they are all human, since I have not had any request for a supernatural. Eros and Jeremy leave to go find out if our fucking IT unit has managed to track down my missing nephew. I know Jasper had to have someone tell him that I wanted that brat of theirs. I had Alpha Aaron’s pack watched for a while knowing that he and Jasper were close friends but no new male children had been reported around the time that my nephew went missing. I believe that my parents know more than they will say, but until I have proof there is nothing I can do. He should be easily spotted since he looks just like his mother Estella. I WANT THAT LITTLE BRAT!

Kodi

I was waiting in the booth for Dani and Ellie to arrive. Dani had text when they landed letting me know they were just getting off the plane and heading to get their bags. They had not let their families know they were coming back because they wanted it to be a surprise. They had someone drop off Ellie’s car here and then they would head straight back to the pack when we were done here. Dani asked me to come with them but I told them that I had work to do. I know it is a lie but I cannot tell them the truth.

“Oh my god, I cannot believe it’s you.” Ellie squeals.

“Oh for fuck sake Ellie, you scared the shit out of me. A little warning would be good next time.” I gasp.

“Sorry, we thought surprising you would be fun.” Ellie replied.

The three of us give each other hugs. It is good to see them again. They are the only two people, beside Uncle Aaron, that I trust. Dani asks me what happened and I tell them everything from the day of the fire. We order food as I tell them my story. They are the only other people beside Uncle Aaron that know who and what I truly am.

“Damn, that is a lot. You should have called Dad.” Dani says.

“I would have but once Uncle Randy died the necklace stopped working and without my phone I had no way of contacting him. I could not remember what the name of your pack was or which island it was on. I was too afraid of being found so I kept to myself.” I told them.

“Our pack is the only one on any of the islands. I am surprised that you have not run into any of the guys from the pack. I know a few of them are avid surfers.” Ellie comments.

“I have, but they think I am human. Uncle Randy had a couple of books that I am guessing belonged to my parents and within one of them I found a spell that is able to change a person’s scent. It worked so everyone thinks I am human. Kekipi and Mauku are a couple of the guys from the pack that I know.” I explained.

“Kekipi is the gamma while Mauku is the delta. I am surprised you have not run into my brother Reign yet. He surfs, but is not as dedicated to it as those two.” Dani laughs.

I laugh as she talks. I knew they were wolves, but I had no idea they were ranked members of the pack. Dani scrolls through her phone and I damn near choke on the sandwich I am eating when she shows me a picture of four guys. Of course, I recognise Mauku and Kekipi, but the other two are not as familiar. I did see them sitting in the stands at the competition. I feel physically sick when she points at the blond guy I know as my mate and tells me his name is Reign and that he is her brother and the current alpha. Now I am more sure than ever I have to make sure we never meet in person. We finish our food and head up front to pay. I tell them to wait while I use the bathroom. As I walk out I get the feeling that something is not right. I walk outside and see that Ellie’s car is still here, but I don’t see her or Dani anywhere. I do see a van parked a few spots down in front of the convenience store. There is no one in the parking lot as I walk to my car. The van pulls out as I climb into my car. Maybe Ellie and Dani walked across the street to pick up a few things. That feeling is still with me as I pull into the parking lot of the grocery store. It’s grocery day. There are numerous people wandering around as I get out of my car. I notice a large SUV two spots down from mine, but there are several parked in the lot. Someone grabs my arm, but before I can turn around and ask what the hell I feel something sink deep into my shoulder. I try to pull free but my head starts to feel heavy and darkness consumes me.

I roll over and when I try to open my eyes it is like they weigh a ton. I try to push myself up, but my whole body feels heavier than normal. I feel someone helping me to sit up and when I turn to look at the person all I see are several blurry forms.

“Do not move too fast and take a drink of this.” Dani says.

I hear a few more voices and one of them is Ellie. Thank god they are okay. I knew something was up. I sat there for a few until my vision began to clear. I look around as I slowly stand up. I can see at least six other girls here. There had been a few rumours floating around that traffickers were on the islands, but I had not had any viable leads so I let it go. I guess I should not have. I had always managed to relay any information that I had come across to both the human and supernatural authorities, but these fuckers were able to sneak in under my radar.

“How long have we been here?” I asked.

“The three of us have been here for about three hours, but the others have been here for two days. From what they told me we are the last ones they are going to take. I did hear one of the bastards say they are getting us off the island within the next hour. I tried to link Dad, but we are too far away. I can tell you that we are still on the big island, which means we are just barely out of range.” Dani explained.

It takes me a few more minutes to gain my barings as I start formulating a plan to get us the fuck out of here. I pull Dani and Ellie to the side and tell them that once I get that damn door open to run outside and try and link Uncle Aaron again. I do not think we are out of range. I think there is something that is blocking them.

“We are not leaving you.” Dani half whispers and half growls.

“Yes you are. Do not worry about me. These fuckers have no idea who they tried to kidnap. The others are human they need your help to get the fuck out of here.” I replied.

“Fine.” Dani grumbles.

I smile when I hear the shadows start whispering to me. I see Dani perk up when this happens. They must be able to link. Dani told me that she was able to reach her Dad and that she told him everything. Sounds like the pack is coming for them. I tell the girls to get behind me as a few steps are heard. It’s time that these fuckers learn a lesson and I am more than happy to teach them. I stand off to the side of the door as it opens. I grab the first one by the arm as they walk in. I slam his head into the wall knocking him out cold as the second bastard grabs me. He ends up the same way when I land a blow to the side of his head. I tell the girls to follow Dani and Ellie as I stand in the hallway. Dani locks eyes with me one last time as she leads the girls out. I turn around in time to find ten more guys standing there. Time to have some fun.
