The Missing Princess

“How many?” Reign asked.

“Fifteen in the last three days. One being my oldest niece. I know she was not happy in the coven since my son will take over when I finally pass. She had told everyone that when that happens she will challenge him for control of the coven. She has been caught several times experimenting with dark magic and she was informed the next time she was caught she would either be cast out of the coven or have her powers removed. I don’t want to do it either, but she has given me no choice. She was with a two other girls and they were the first to disappear. Honestly, I don’t think she disappeared and if she did, I guarantee she is working with whoever is behind this.” Willamena explained.

“How old is your niece?” I asked.

“She just turned 18 a week ago. I have raised her since her father, my brother, was killed. Her mother left when she was three and we haven’t seen her since. I was told that she returned to her family, but that she was kicked out and disowned. Her mother also turned to experimenting with dark magic. I do know that her mother was found dead when my niece, Danica, was ten. No one knows why her mother began to practice dark magic. Danica’s mother left her coven one day and that was it. Then she met my brother and we thought that that she would change but no she kept experimenting with her dark magic. Last, I had heard she was somewhere in California, and she still had not met her mate.” Willamena added.

“Have we had any leads on where the girls might be?” I asked.

“No, but they can’t get off the islands. Between the pack, coven, and kingdom we have effectively shut down any means of smuggling them to the mainland. We would check where they held you, Dani and Ellie but someone destroyed that building.” Shay comments.

“If you’re looking for me to be apologetic about destroying that building then you will be waiting till you die.” I sneer.

“Okay that is enough snarkyness. We have a few places we are checking. Eli has several of his guys checking places as well. I am also not going to stop your Luna from beating your ass if you start shit with her.” Reign grumbles.

“I have the coven using a few of the girls’ that are missing belongings that were left behind to see if we can’t get a location on them. We can’t get a specific location, but we have a general area, but we are guessing where ever they are being kept that the building or whatever is lined with something to prevent any kind of magic from getting through. The connection is very broken almost like a bad phone connection.” Willamena explained.

I don’t like this. Reign has already asked me to not go wandering around town alone because of this. I told him that I would take one or two of the guys with me when I headed off pack land. My gut is telling me that Willamena’s niece, Danica, is helping Zenos.

“What if Eros or Jeremy is her mate?” I asked.

“That would make the most sense. If one of those two happens to be her mate, then she would help them. Danica took after her mother when it came to her personality. She is a very vindictive and manipulative. I do know that she had always wanted her mate. My sister-in-law might have been a shady bitch, but my brother and her loved each other and Danica saw that, and I know she wanted that. I am not sure about those two boys.” Willamena stated.

“We know very little about Jeremy or if he has found his mate or rejected his mate. Eros rejected his first mate, who was Ellie. Danica would be Eros’s second chance mate.” I told her.

“Why in the fuck would he reject Ellie? She is the sweeties girl I have ever met.” Willamena hissed.

“He had a girlfriend. He came back later in their first year of college and tried to get her back, but their bond was gone. Ellie started college at 17 so she hadn’t gotten her wolf yet so the bond wasn’t there on her side. When he tried to take back his rejection it was too late.” I explained.

“Would the demon and angel king help with this shit?” I asked.

“Yes, we will.” a new male voice announced.

We all turned around to find two huge men standing there. I stepped closer to Reign as they walked closer to us. Both men had to be same height at Reign. One of them had hair so white it was almost transparent that reached his ass. His eyes were the most vivid green I have ever seen which stood out against his ivory skin. The other guy had shoulder length curly black hair and eyes that looked like swirling pools of liquid gold with black flecks in them. His eyes popped out against his dark chocolate coloured skin. I felt Reign place a hand on my lower back making me look at him. He didn’t look worried as Uncle Aaron shook each one of their hands. They were both staring at me which was starting to piss me off. Assholes were being disrespectful.

“It’s fine Kodi you can reel in that aura of yours.” Uncle Aaron states.

“Don’t upset my granddaughter you two.” grandmother said.

“Sorry Queen Elymyna. That was not our intention.” The guy with the white hair said.

“I apologise Luna Kodi. Let me introduce myself and my friend. My name is Askel. I am the king of the angels. My friend here is the demon king, Bastian.” Askel says.

“Young lady drop that aura right now.” Grandfather says.

“Fine, but these two were being rude and creepy.” I hissed.

Reign pulled me down into his lap wrapping his arms around me. I leaned back into him calming down. I wasn’t scared of them, but they were creepy as fuck. Grandfather was giving me the eye as my two annoying brothers walked in with Dani between them. I squealed, jumping up hurrying to her. We hugged and I couldn’t help touching her little bump. She looks so damn cute with her bump. I hear a low growl making me roll my eyes, but I return to my growly alpha while Vance pulls Dani closer to them.

“Will you two stop. I am fine. You two are driving me insane and if you don’t stop, I will stay here till this kid is born.” Dani growls.

“The hell you will.” Rory hisses.

“I have your sister on my side.” Dani points out.

“Do not threaten us with our sister.” Vance told her.

“Okay you three need to stop. You two will leave her alone. Both of you have been ridiculously over protective. Let the poor girl breath.” Grandmother admonished.

I laugh when my brothers fold their arms across their chests pouting. I swear these two act like children. Maybe I could run this pack and the kingdom.

“Are you sure that I am related to them?” I asked.

“Yes, dear you are.” Grandmother sighs.

“Okay let’s get back to the reason we are here.” Reign grumbles.

“While I am thankful for your help, I have a feeling you are here for a more serious reason.” Reign adds.

“Yes, unfortunately. We heard what was going on and we had originally planned to come and offer our services, but then our granddaughter was kidnapped.” Bastian says.

“Your granddaughter?” I asked.

“Yes, my only daughter and Bastian’s oldest son were fated mates. They have three children. Their oldest daughter is mated to my second in commands son, while their son has yet to find his mate. Their youngest daughter was here with a couple of friends to watch the surfing competition. They decided to stay for a little longer to play tourist when they disappeared. Our family connection led me here.” Askel explained.

“When did they disappear?” I asked.

“Two days ago.” Bastian answered.

That correlated to then Willamena’s niece went missing. Bastian told us everything he knew about the girls she was with, and I knew that she and Danica weren’t travelling together. I do remember seeing a girl with bright lime green hair in the stands sitting by two other girls. I mean how could you not notice someone with bright lime green hair. I asked about the other islands. I knew they were coming here to wander around, but it was clear they weren’t staying on the big island.

“I think they are staying on one of the other islands. They have been seen here on the big island and a couple of the other islands, but no one can find them registered at any of the hotels here on the big island or the other islands. I believe wherever they are staying that someone else owns the house. I also don’t think they are keeping the girls on the same island they are staying on. They have to have a second house on one of the other islands. They know they can’t get the girls off the islands because we have closed down all the exit routes, but could they magic to transport the girls?” I asked.

“They could but they would need someone who is very powerful in order to move all those girls off the islands. I was able to find out that they don’t keep the girls anywhere on the mainland. They take them directly to Europe where they are held until they can set up an auction to sell them at.” Rory answered.

I know what everyone is not saying when they talk about someone who is extremely powerful. They are trying to bring up my name in that list. I tell them that I know that I am the one they want so there is no need to keep secrets. I sat there as they discussed what the next steps would be. I told Bastian about Noa. Bastian says that he knows of Noa’s family, but he has never spoken with them. He does ask if Noa would be willing to talk with him and I let him know that I will talk with Noa and ask. I am sure Noa will. I know he hates that this shit is happening on his island.

“What if we informed the public about what is happening? They have been taking girls that they know either had no families or that the family wouldn’t notice. I know when they took Dani, Ellie and I that the dip shits got yelled at for taking supernatural’s. The public is unaware of what is going on and I know that islanders are very protective of their people.” I pointed out.

“That is a good idea. Islanders tend to band together. I think we should let the public know what is happening and how many girls are missing.” Uncle Aaron comments.

“It needs to be released to every island. Eli, I think it would be a good idea if your people could search all the little islands that no one goes to. They might be hiding the girls in some cave.” I told him.

“Way ahead of you. My guys have gone through all the uninhabited island with a fine tooth comb. There are no girls being hidden on any of them. I had Duncan contact his brother and they are watching the islands when we can’t. So far no one but a few vampires who want to live off the grid are moving about those islands.” Eli replied.

Reign

I stood there watching my little copper flame staring out the French doors to the balcony. The sun had just set, and she was definitely lost in thought. I had walked in ten minutes ago and she hadn’t noticed me yet. I don’t like it when she gets lost in her own head. I step up behind her as Uahi takes off for his nightly flight. She jumps and lets out a scream when I wrap my arms around her.

“What has my pretty little Luna lost in her head?” I asked.

“Just trying to think of where they might be keeping those girls. I know they wouldn’t use the same house where I was, but there is a strange building not too far from it. I remember seeing one there when I first came here. I stayed away from that house because I thought someone lived there and I didn’t want them to think some punk was lurking around their house. The other building always looked abandoned. I think they are keeping the human girls separate from the supernatural’s which means they have guys that are supernatural or know of supernatural’s kidnapping girls.” I answered.

“You might be on to something. We can discuss it with the others tomorrow.” I said.

I could tell that something was filtering through her mind. She turned in my arms and smiled at me. I smirked when she stood up on her tippy toes and tried to kiss me. I picked her up, making her squeal as I carried her to the bed. I threw her on to it and watched her bounce. She was laughing the whole time.

“Let’s use the shadows to find Askel and Bastian’s granddaughter. Maybe they heard or saw something that the others didn’t.” I told her.

“I was thinking the same thing. I will talk with them tomorrow. They will need a picture of their granddaughter.” Kodi pointed out.

“I doubt that will be a problem. I am sure one or both of them has a picture of her on them.” I replied.

She snuggled up to once I laid down. Her head was on my chest as I rubbed up and down her back. We laid there for a while as Uahi kept flying back and forth in front of the window. What I was worried about more than anything is if what we were thinking is true and Danica is either Eros or Jeremy’s mate that they might target the coven to kidnap some of the more powerful witches there. I need to figure out why Kodi can’t pick up Eros’s magic. I know it has to do with them being family but there has to be something else. She should be able to feel when a new source emerges and there is a shift in the normal power levels. I will be discussing this with Willamena. I don’t like those two little fuckers wandering around my islands. I know sooner or later they will be coming after my little copper flame which pisses me off. I don’t want to think about it but using my little copper flame as bait. I know she would more than willingly do it, but I am not sure if I would be able to deal with that. That is another idea that I will be discussing with the others tomorrow.

“You’re thinking to loud. Go to sleep my alpha.” Kodi mumbles.

“Sorry my little copper flame.” I whisper.

She turns onto her side as do I. My arm slips over her waist as it pulls her against me. I hear her hum making me smile. Blade is asleep in my mind thank God. He has been an annoying asshole lately. We still haven’t picked up a change in her scent, but I am starting to think she is pregnant. Her appetite has increased and even though she had tried to hide I know she has had morning sickness a few times. It is not every day, which is weird, but it is often enough to make me highly suspicious. I will talk with Elymyna about my suspicion tomorrow.
