I stare at the piece of paper in my hands. I am seething as I look at the pictures and reread the letter again. It’s more of a note than a letter. One of the guards had delivered it to me about an hour ago and I haven’t been able to look at anything since. It looked like a inconspicuous manilla envelope, but its contents were anything but inconspicuous.

“Do we know who sent it?” Ino asks.

“No, Lucas found it tied to one of the posts. The only thing written on it was Alpha Reign. Lucas didn’t think anything of it since it didn’t have any foreign scents. All he could smell was human. I thought it was some strange legal document at first.” I told him.

“How the fuck did they get pictures of me? I know each of these locations, but I never got the feeling of being watched. Believe me I would feel shit like that and I know the shadows would have alerted me if someone was watching or if I was in danger.” Kodi comments.

“Look closely at the pictures. They aren’t recent. The most recent ones were take during the surfing competition. You didn’t realise anyone was watching you because there were so many people there taking pictures. Whoever is behind this is sending humans as not to raise suspicion.” I state.

I place the letter, which I have read at least four times. I know fucking Zenos is behind this. This has his fucking name written all over it.

Alpha Reign,

Hand over Princess Kodi now or face the consequences. She belongs to us and therefore is our property. If you ignore this warning then be prepared for war. We will raise your pack to the ground and destroy the islands. Knowing how you care for your people and the islands it is highly suggested that you hand over the princess to us. She is not worth all this trouble. Her mate is anxious to have her returned. Bring her to the edge of the Big Island where a couple of my men will take her from you saving your pack and islands from destruction.

You have two days to hand her over if you don’t then we descend on your pack.

The Fey King

“My brothers are going to be pissed that someone is parading around as them and calling himself the Fey King.” Kodi points out.

She wasn’t wrong. I had already called Rory and Vance and told them about the letter and pictures. They might be the two biggest jokers I know, but when the switch is flipped those two are scary. I haven’t seen them pissed that often, but when they learned that someone was calling himself the Fey King and left a threatening letter about wanting their little sister handed over like some piece of property they lost their shit. I heard two loud growls before Dani’s voice filtered through the other end of the line. She asked what the fuck happened. I told her and as expected my little sister started swearing like a sailor. I can hear my little copper flame grumbling something under her breath. I can tell through our bond that she is pissed and worried.

“Your brothers and grandparents will be here tomorrow. I also contacted Eli and Willamena and they will be here tomorrow as well.” I added.

“Who is Willamena?” Kodi asked.

“She is the leader of the witch coven. When there is a threat to the islands. When there is a threat to the islands it is all of our problems not just mine.” I told her.

“Okay, that makes sense. There is someone else I think would be a good person to bring in.” Kodi says.

All eyes turn to her as she sits on my lap. I should have known that she knew someone that we didn’t. My little copper flame is full of surprised. Dad asks her about her friend and she tells us that he is a demon and has lived on the Hawaiian Islands for a few thousands years. I wasn’t aware of a demon that lived on any of the islands.

“Can you talk with him. We were not aware of any demons living on any of the islands. All of us were under the impression that demons left the islands a few thousand years ago. We don’t know why, but that is what was told to the rest of us that decided to remain here on the islands.” Dad explained

“I can. I will go talk with him tomorrow. He is out of town right now and will be back late tonight.” Kodi says.

“Hand me over as if I am a piece of fucking property. I give him a fucking hand a fucking back hand across his fucking face. Bring it on mother fucker and lets see who wins.” Kodi rants.

The others are trying not to laugh as she keeps on ranting. The truth is that my little copper flame isn’t lying. She would lay that bastard out in a heart beat. I can feel her magic starting to flare and the shadows in the room growing as she works herself up. Mauku and Ino are starting to sink into their chairs as her royal aura flares. “It’s okay Luna, emotions are running high right now and I can’t imagine what tomorrow will hold when your brothers and grandparents arrive.” Kekipi points out.

He isn’t wrong I can only imagine the power of their royal auras when they are all in the same room. Tomorrow should be interesting.

I am beyond pissed. The pictures I get, kind of. When Reign explained that they were taken at the surfing competition I wasn’t that upset. There were so many different people, magazines, sponsors taking pictures of everyone that was participating that I wouldn’t have noticed if someone was singling me out. That fucking letter had my blood boiling. Asking Reign to hand me over like I am some piece of property.

“Little copper flame you are flaring again.” Reign drawls.

“Sorry, I keep thinking about that damn letter and it pisses me off again.” I comment.

“It pissed me off to. The fact that they think I would hand you over is absurd. You are mine. Well ours.” Reign growls.

“That is damn straight. I belong to the two of you just as you two belong to me.” I state.

I giggled when he let out a growl as I was thrown on the bed. I squealed as he ripped the shirt I had on off. I had planned on telling him to stop destroying my clothes but his mouth landed on mine effectively silencing me. A moan slipped when his large hand covered my tit giving it a squeeze. A few minutes later we climb out of bed and I can’t say the view is terrible. Of course because it is us our shower isn’t exactly fast. By the time we get to Reign’s office everyone is there.

“Finally they are done fucking.” Vance mumbles.

“Ow what the fuck was that for?” They both hiss.

“Because you two are annoying. Neither of you have any fucking room to talk. I can hear the heart beat in Dani’s stomach. So don’t think we don’t know that the fuck the two of you have been up to.” I pointed out.

I could tell that Uncle Aaron was thrilled that he was going to become a grandpa. My stupid brothers puffed up like fucking puffer fish with annoyingly pleased smiles on their faces. I am happy for Dani. My grandmother had tears in her eyes. This kid was going to be ridiculously spoiled. Reign sat down pulling me into his lap. Normally I would roll my eyes at him, but with everything going on and that damn letter I knew him and Blade wanted to keep me close. Reign passed the letter and pictures to Rory. Both made their way around the room.

“This has to be Zenos and his band of fuckers.” Vance commented.

“That is what I think. I am convinced they are using humans to do their dirty work. None of my guys can pick up any other scent besides humans.” Reign explained.

“This might be true. I can tell you they aren’t using anyone that is able to use magic. They know they can’t since Kodi would pick up on it, but I think they are using others besides humans.” Willamena states.

“A mermaid or merman is helping them. I could smell the deep see as I stepped out of the car.” Cerelium told us.

“Why would one of your people help them?” I asked.

“It isn’t one of our people. I think it is a one or more of the individuals that left the kingdom when all that shit went down. As to why they would work with Zenos that is a mystery. I had no idea anyone from our kingdom even knew Zenos.” Vahir says.

“What about that one vampire?” I asked.

“What vampire?” Eli asked.

I explained about the one guy that looked familiar but I couldn’t remember where I had maybe seen him before. My grandparents told him about my whole head ache and memory thing they did. Eli was impressed with that ability. Eli asked what this vampire looked like and I pulled out my phone and showed him.

“I don’t remember seeing him when you were there.” Eli says.

“You told us that his name was Volotor.” I replied.

“No the one standing beside him is Volotor. I have no idea who that vampire is. It is possible that he was visiting someone while you were there, but I can promise you that he is not a member of my kingdom.” Eli told us.

“Then who is he” Reign asked.

“That is what I intend to find out.” Eli growls.
