The Missing Princess

Kodi

“Honey you look stunning.” Naydeen gasps.

I look at myself in the mirror and I have to admit that I do look different. The full length one shoulder dress I chose is dark emerald in colour. It gives me just enough cleavage, is very flowy with slits up to my mid thigh on both sides. I left my hair down and in its natural beach waves. I don’t normally wear make-up, but I let Dani apply a little, but I made sure she kept it light. The only piece of jewellery I have is the necklace that Uncle Randy gave me which I never take off. I didn’t have any shoes and neither did the other girls. Dani and Ellie looked stunning as did Naydeen. I couldn’t help but let out a scream when I saw both Dani and Ellie’s marks. Fey marks are different from other marks. Sometimes a picture like a tattoo will form, but our name always appears in flowy fey script. Well not mine. Reign’s mark formed a tattoo like picture with his wolf Blade in the centre and my name in what looks like a combo of fey and native Hawaiian script. It had a edge to it which I think Reign appreciated. My mark was strange. The only part of Blade that was visible were his eyes which were surrounded by what appeared to be a dark cloud with weirdly coloured wisps of something encircling it. A knock on the door made all of us turn our heads.

“Well don’t you ladies look gorgeous.” Chiron states.

“Thank you.” I mumble.

“Come on it is time.” He says.

I take a deep breath before letting it out. I can’t deny I am nervous. I did ask Rory and Vance about what happens with our blood mixes when we have to slice our hands and press then together. I was worried that it would cause me to try and turn, but they assured me that everything would be fine. Chiron explained that unless a wolfs venom gets into my blood stream there is no chance of turning. That made me feel a little better. I had noticed that Reign seemed stronger and faster since we marked each other. I wonder if he absorbed some of my power? I had to shake these thoughts from my head. I needed to focus. I followed Naydeen as Dani and Ellie walked in front of us. I looked up and I was blown away. The full moon was straight above us illuminating the whole area. There were strings of fairy light woven in the tress and around several poles making the whole area glow. I was awe struck. I hear a gasp as I walk by where my brothers are sitting. I don’t dare look since I am sure that sound originated from my grandparents. I sucked in a breath when my eyes locked with Reign’s. He held his hand out to me as I started climbing the stairs of the platform he was standing on.

“You look stunning my little copper flame.” Reign says in my ear.

I can’t control the shiver that races down my spine when his hot breath ghosts over my ear. I glance over my shoulder and he has that damn smirk on his face. Bastard, he knows exactly what that does to me. I hope everyone can't smell me. I feel him stiffen behind. I am positive that he can smell my arousal and he deserves it since it is his fault. Reign steps in front of me.

“Ahi Mokupuni Pack, please welcome some very important guests. As everyone is aware I have found my mate and Luna. Tonight under this full moon, Kodi will take her place beside me as our official Luna.” Reign booms.

Excited and happy howls ring out bringing a smile to my face. I know many of these guys from surfing at the beach. I happen to glance over at my brothers and I lock eyes with who I am guessing are my grandparents. I quickly look away. Reign grabs my hand making me face him. Ino hands him a large dagger which I can tell is made of silver. I frown as I watch Reign take the damn thing making his skin sizzle. It takes everything within me to keep from grabbing the damn thing and ripping it from his hand. He drags the blade across the palm of his hand as his eyes stay locked with mine. He turns my hand palm side up and drags the blade over mine. He quickly presses our palms together and I can fell some kind of force surge through my body. All the sudden my mind is invaded with what seems like never ending voices. I feel the head ache when I hear another in my head.

What does this asshole do? He starts fucking laughing. I glare at him as he takes my hand licking it, yuck, but I can’t help at watching the cut on my hand quickly heal. He turns us around and announces me as the Luna. I swear it feels like a fucking earth quake as everyone starts cheering and howling. Reign leads me down only for me to be pulled in between my idiot brothers and they tell me how proud of me they are and that I look beautiful.

“You two are gross. God, I thought only girls were this cheesy.” I grumble.

A booming laugh rings out making me look at the man standing beside Rory.

“Just like our Estella.” The woman says.

“Kodi I would like to introduce you to our grandparents. King Zhamaxin and Queen Elymyna.” Vance told me.

All I can do is stand there and stare. My grandfather snorts but then glares at Uncle Aaron. Yeah this discussion is going to be fun.

Alpha Aaron

I knew when I received that glare from King Zhamaxin that I was going get grilled. I have no idea what Jasper and Estella told them. Hell, I don’t know if they told them anything. I know Jasper told me they had their suspicions about Kodi being a boy, but if they knew or not they never said anything. I am going to guess from that look alone last night that they don’t know anything. Great, thanks a fucking lot Jasper. There were to many of us to shove into Reign’s office so I arranged for this discussion to take place in the large board room I had renovated a few years before I let Reign take over as alpha. I smiled when Reign and Kodi walked in. My smile fell when I could practically taste her anxiety. I walked over to them and wrapped my arms around her. Reign looked concerned about her, but I knew everything was going to be fine. If anything her grandparents would be pissed at me not her. Reign sat down pulling Kodi onto his lap, trying to calm her anxiety down. I heard the twins before I saw them.

“Are you sure they are old enough to to be kings?” Kodi grumbled.

“Old enough yes, mature enough that is still to be debated.” Zhamaxin states.

"Hey you're supposed to be on our side." Vance hissed.

“You two knock it off.” Elymyna hissed.

I shook my head when they started to whine. I laughed when Dani walked up behind them and smacked both of them on the back of their heads. I heard them growl, but Dani quickly returned it which caused them to realise who they were growling at. Dani send them a look making them sit down. Good those two need to be put in their place. Kodi dropped her eyes to the floor as Zhamaxin and Elymyna sat down. Her anxiety had ramped up again.

“Kodi, sweetheart please calm down. We just want to know how this is possible.” Elymyna says.

“Okay.” She whisper.

Reign pulls her back against him letting his aura seep into her trying to calm her down again. That is when everyone turns their attention to me. Yeah, I knew this was coming.

“Before you blow up, Jasper came to see Randy and I while Estella was still pregnant with Kodi. At that time they had no idea they were having a girl. What we were told was that the baby wasn’t even in the position to see whether or not they were having a boy or girl.” I state.

“That is true. Why would Jasper go to you two at that time?” Elymyna asked.

“He explained to us that there were rumours floating around that Zenos was planning a coup to take the throne. I think the both knew in their hearts that the child was a girl and what that meant. He asked Randy and I to protect the child if it was a girl. They were concerned that if Zenos returned and the child was a girl that he would try and claim her as his mate or if he had a son he would try to claim they were mates. As we all know they were here visiting when Estella gave birth and as we feared it was a girl. Both Jasper and Estella placed a glamour on Kodi making her appear as a son and not a daughter. They also made him appear to be more or less Estella’s mini me.” I explained.

“A year later I was ripped from my bed and literally dropped onto Randy’s floor in Texas. Jasper had brought me there. Estella had just died and he was gravely injured. He told us what had happened and asked us to keep Kodi safe. The glamour faded once he died. It was already waning once Estella died, but once he passed it was gone. The necklace you see Kodi wearing had a spell placed on it by Randy. I would be able to find her with the help of this necklace. What neither of us realised was that the spell would disappeared once Randy died.” I added.

“Okay, but once Randy died where did she disappear to? She was alone for eight years.” Zhamaxin asked.

“The night we were attacked and the house set on fire Uncle Randy forced me back into my room and told me to pack. We had just moved to the house in central California, but he told me to go back to the house in Oregon and grab everything that was in the hidden panel and go to the Scaevola house.” Kodi says.

“I had no idea Randy had property here in Hawaii.” Zhamaxin commented.

“He doesn’t, the house was left to Lorena by a family member. I had no idea about the house either.” I point out.

I continue to explain what happened and while I can tell that Zhamaxin and Elymyna are upset they are also glad that Kodi was safe here even without knowing that I was here. Zhamaxin does ask why she smells like a human and I thought they were going to lose their shit when she explained about using that spell. Kodi explains how she found those ancient books and about the spell itself. I can tell that they want to look at those books.

“I can show you, but you won’t be able to see anything when you open them. For some reason I am the only one that can see them. I honestly have no idea where Uncle Randy got them, but I always guessed that either Mom or Dad gave them to him.” Kodi explained.

“That is okay.” Elymyna says.

“How come Kodi doesn’t look like us?” Vance asked.

“Kodi took after her dark fey ancestors. The dark fey that raped my mother had the same hair and eyes.” Elymyna told us.

Kodi became increasingly uncomfortable when she heard this. That still doesn’t explain everything. Dark fe don’t have red or copper hair or eyes that colour. I ask them about this, but they don’t know any more than we do. Someone has to know and I have a feeling that whoever is slinking around the edge of our territory might know. Now we just need to find them.
