The Missing Princess

It’s been a week since I last heard from my guys on the big island of Hawaii. That could be normal, but what is not normal is that I haven’t been able to reach any of them by cell phone or email. I sent two more of my men there two days ago. They are strictly there to try and find the other or any news on of them. Something isn’t right and I know this. Stanton, the head of the operation hasn’t returned any of my calls and that is not like him. In fact I can’t recall a time when he hasn’t answered his phone. Then there is the fact that we still can’t find my missing nephew. The last known where about where Washington State, but that was over two years ago and there has not been a reliable lead on his whereabouts since. I should have taken Randy that night, but that fucking alpha got to him before I could. I know Randy had a child with him, but it was a girl who is no use to me. I probably should have taken her and used her to convince Randy to tell me where my nephew is.

“You do know that in the dark fey world that the women hold all the power. Even if we find that brat, and he has some power, he will not have the power you truly seek.” Dobrita points out.

“I know, but we could always have him mate with Katja. I still wonder why she didn’t inherit more power from the dark fey side. Her witch side is more dominant than her fey side.” I remark.

“That is understandable since I am full witch. I did a bit of research on the bastard that raped your grandmother. While he was a powerful dark fey once again his younger sister inherited the vast majority of their mother’s power as is normal for dark fey. I believe that he was trying do accomplish what you are, but he had already been disowned by his family and tried to go about it on his own. His father and your grandfather’s father became allies after all that happened and those two kingdoms are still allies along with the current vampire king and several wolf packs. I know they have been talking with the demon and angel kings as well.” Dobrita explained.

We both turn around when we hear our daughter walk into the room. She just turned 16 and is stunning. She looks so much like her mother with her eyes the colour of a tourmaline (pink to gold ombre) which goes well with her black to pink ombre hair. She stands the same height as her mother at 5’9”. She is followed by Xalamar’s fraternal twin boys Alezios and Maxim. They are a year older than her, but they grew up together and the boys treated her like a younger sister. Lamar has three kids, but they are much younger than these three. Lamar found his mate later than Xalamar. Lamar’s oldest is seven and his youngest just turned two. Lamar and Xalamar walk into the room as the kids leave for school. Dobrina nudges me in the ribs. I shoot her a look as she tilts her head towards Xalamar. Right then and there I know something is up. The two of them sat down across from us and wait for everyone else to leave the room. We have been living here in St. Petersburg in Russia since I left the kingdom. I hated it at first, but over the years I have grown to love it. I knew this would be one of the few countries that no one would bother looking for us in. The fey hate the cold, so I knew we were safe.

“Did you hear from Stanton?” I asked.

“No, I did hear from Valdar. He found the house that our men were using to hold the girls. It had been damn near burnt to the ground. They found remnants of blood and other indications of some sort of fight. There were no bodies found, but he was able to find out that three of the guys survived but were taken by Alpha Reign back to the Ahi Mokupuni Pack.” Xalamar answers.

“Two of the girls that they kidnapped were from the pack, one being the sister of Alpha Reign, and the other being the daughter of the head warrior. There was another girl they captured who they apparently knew, but she was human. Valdar did tell me that Klahmal felt magic within the house. That means that one of the others was also a supernatural.” Xalamar added.

“Those fucking idiots. I told them to stay away from supernatural beings. I know that Drakig could feel magic as well so he had to of known that they had kidnapped a supernatural being.” I hiss.

“The thing is that the only scents that weren’t human were the two wolves. Whoever this other supernatural must be a hybrid human cross. He was able to find a cell phone belonging to one of the men that didn’t survive and he was able to recover some of the CCTV footage. He emailed me this.” Lamar told us.

He turns his lap top towards us. You can clearly see the other girls running away. Two of the girls stop and turn around to look back at who I am guessing is the one to stay behind. You can’t see the person who is standing there except for eyes the colour of fire. We watch as the entire building is engulfed in darkness except for those eyes. I can hear the men yelling in Russian trying to figure out what the fuck is going on just like we are. That is when the cracking starts, which I am guessing is the walls of the house. Whispers can be clearly heard, but whatever they are saying is not understandable.

“Fuck.” I state.

The first of the men is sent flying back with slash marks so deep it nearly decapitates him. More of them rush at the mystery person only to be sent flying to the nearest wall. By the time the darkness clears I can see most of my men are dead. I watch as Alpha Reign and who I am guessing is his beta come storming in. They shift back into their human form and are obviously searching for someone. I hear the beta yell that he found her, as Alpha Reign comes running into the frame. Between the two huge hulking men I can’t see the girl clearly, but I do get a flash of pale copper hair that has been lightened by the sun.

“Whoever that girl is she has unimaginable amounts of power.” Lamar comments.

“Was Drakig able to determine what kind of magic was being used?” I asked.

“That is the weird thing. He couldn’t differentiate the type of magic being used. He told me that it felt like magic a witch has, but at the same time he could sense fey magic as well. There was something else, but he couldn’t put his finger on it.” Xalamar answers.

“That means whoever she is that she is a hybrid or possibly a tribrid. I know your brother-in-law’s family had a few red heads in it, but the only other supernaturals to have hair that colour are elves, which are notoriously secretive.” Dobrita says.

“Something isn’t adding up and I want to know why. We need to look into my family. I bet you money they are hiding something.” I sneer.

Xalamar and Lamar let me know they will call their contacts. They still have a few within the kingdom which is helpful. I ask if there is any other CCTV footage, but Xalamar tells me no. The surveillance camera’s outside seemed to malfunction at the same time this was happening, which means that whoever this girl is might have the power to control electricity. I tell them I need to know who this girl is and where she came from. The damn near run out of the room to get in touch with their contacts.

“Maybe we aren’t looking for a nephew.” Dobrita points out.

“You might be right my little witch, but that would mean that Estella and Jasper placed a glamour on her at birth. If that is the case then they were the only two that knew the true identity of the child.” I replied.

“They weren’t the only ones. Didn’t she have the child in the Ahi Mokupuni Pack?” She asked.

“She did which means that the precious Alpha and his rank members would know about the true identity of the child.” I answer.

Reign

This last week has been interesting. After Myra telling us all about this Dobrita I started asking around about her. Yeah, she is just as fucking hard to find and Zenos. That fucker is still MIA as well. I have no idea what rock that bastard is hiding under, but that has to be the only explanation as to why he can’t be found. Rory and Vance had to return to their kingdom. They left four days ago without my sister. They weren’t thrilled that she wasn’t coming back with them yet. Dani is ecstatic that she found her mates, but I can tell being queen of the fey is scaring the shit out of her. They had planned on returning and telling their grandparents about Dani and then announcing it to the kingdom that they had found their queen. I did warn them that if they had any jealous ex’s that they probably should do something about them before Dani got there. She might appear as a prissy princess, but piss her off and she will beat the shit out of you. Ask most of the guys that have trained with her all their lives. Ah, training, that was another eye opener. Kodi hasn’t officially moved to the pack, but she more or less has. I am pretty sure most if not all her shit is now in my room and she stays here more than she does at her place. Kodi joined us for training the day before the twins left for home and all I can say is that is the pack had any reservations about her being able to protect them or being their Luna that has been cleared up exponentially.

FLASH BACK START

“Good morning everyone. As you all know I have found my mate. This is Kodi and she is my mate. I am sure some of you know her if you surf. I expect all of you to welcome her and respect her.” I boom.

I hear several start to murmur about her. Several of the guys come up to her and congratulate her on being the Luna. They clearly know her, since I know they surf fairly regularly. I do notice Mandy glaring at Kodi. Somehow I knew she was going to be a fucking problem. I have never paid Mandy any attention, but for some reason she got it in her head that we would be mates, and if we weren’t that I would take her as a chosen mate. Yeah, that isn’t fucking happening. Her father was our head trainer, and has no idea when or why Mandy started thinking like this.

“There is no way that some bitch hybrid that can’t shift should be our Luna. I challenge her for the position of Luna.” Mandy yells.

“Colour me surprised.” Kekipi grumbles.

“Ranu, I hate to inform you but you may not have a daughter after this.” Mauku comments.

“I am aware. It is time that Mandy gets put in her place.” Ranu replied.

I take a step towards Kodi but she shakes her head. She steps into the ring and even though it can’t be seen, I can feel that she has put up a magical barrier so no one can enter or leave the ring until she decides.

“Don’t hold back because I won’t and please feel free to shift if you feel as if you need some extra strength.” Kodi drawls.

“What the fuck is she playing at?” Ino hisses.

“I have no idea but I have a feeling that shit is about to get very real and Mandy is in for a world of hurt.” I hissed back.

I wasn’t wrong. As I expected Mandy was the first to make a move as she rushed Kodi who stood there with a very evil smile on her face. As Mandy was about to hit her Kodi sidestepped Mandy which caused her to run face first into the barrier Kodi put in place. Mandy let out a growl as she turned around which didn’t phase Kodi at all. In fact Kodi laughed at her and then growled right back at Mandy which caught Mandy off guard. My eyes widen as I watch Kodi’s eyes start to glow and her nails elongate into deadly looking talons. I have no idea where she inherited that but I know it was not from her witch or fey side. I look over at Rory and Vance, and that is when I know that they have no idea what the hell is going on. Mandy rushes Kodi again and this time she is met with a fist to the face and knocked flat on her non-existent ass. This is going to be a brutal fight.

FLASHBACK END

I have no idea where she learned to fight like that but it was amazing and slightly disturbing to watch. She joined training after that and won the respect of everyone within the pack.

“You frown way to fucking much.” Kodi comments.

“You’re back early. I figured the three of you would be gone for a few more hours.” I retort.

“Yeah, well talk with mother nature. She decided it should start fucking raining which I would still surf in, but when lightning starts raging the water isn’t the safest place to be.” She points out.

“So I figured since most of my shit is here now that I should just move here. However, I don’t want to sell my house since it is paid for. I also have a small favour to ask.” She announces.

“Okay, well the moving in part is more or less decided. The house we will figure out. What is this small favour?” I state.

“So as most know witches tend to have familiars or pets. I happen to have one which no you didn’t see the other night because he was out hunting. I want to bring him here, but I need to know that it is safe for him and none of the wolves will try and kill him.” She explains.

“That shouldn’t be a problem. The other witches within the pack have familiars and they are fine. In fact one of the familiars is a large cat that tends to chase some of the warriors around. Saying that I also know they somewhat tease him and that is a form of play between them and Savoy.” I told her.

I chuckle when she lets out a squeal as she wraps her arms around my neck kissing me. We have definitely grown closer this last week, but we are moving at her pace. I will admit it is much slower than how we wolves move, but both Blade and I agreed that she is in charge of how fast the intimate side of our relationship progresses. She bolts out of the room to where I am guessing is our room to shower.

“Um, hey, you should come see this.” Mauku says.

I follow him outside where Kodi is standing with what I can only presume is her familiar.

“This is your familiar?” I asked.
