The Maiden and The Four Waters

Chapter Chapter Thirty- Six

Walla calmly walked back to her town, as her emotions died down she could feel the ache of her body. She could feel the pain shooting through her throat, she could feel the throbbing of her face from the three clawed scratches. Walla glanced out at the river as she walked on.

She noticed the glistening of the sun going down over the water, she noticed the calm ripples of the water, she noticed the hint of a skirt floating around. Walla forced herself not to stop as she carefully looks back and forth to the river and her path as she walked.

Mariana popped her head out of the water as she watched Walla walk away, the water maiden felt an ounce of heartbreak as she took joy in seeing Walla alive.
