The Magic Drink

Chapter The Party Begins

Eilish came to the castle with lots of pizza and soda.

“Hi, I got the pizza!” Eilish said.

The five boys and the princess, whom everyone called Sìneag, threw confetti in the air joyfully.

“Let’s start the party!” Jamie cried out.

“Yay!” Eilish said as she put the boxes of pizza and the soda on a table, “Thanks for inviting me to your party!”

“Okay, does anyone want to read some of my favorite history books?” Pàl asked, popping up suddenly, holding a stack of large books in just one arm.

“No, thank you!” Eilish said.

“Okay,” Pàl said and grabbed a piece of pizza and a cup of soda.

He then climbed into a purple hammock hanging off of the castle wall.

“I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings! I’m sorry!” Eilish cried out.

“Hey, I’m fine! You didn’t hurt my feelings!” Pàl said.

“Ah, thank goodness,” Eilish said and grabbed a piece of pizza and a cup of soda, “Yummy!”

Sìneag begun playing a song on a violin that she plucked from the shelf.

“Cool! You play violin?! I play piano!” Eilish commented.

“Every girl in my family tree, for as long as this little kingdom has existed, knew how to play the violin. Just ask Pàl!” Sìneag said, “They were also all named Sìneag, like me!”

“Okay! Pàl, is it true? Not that I don’t believe the princess,” Eilish asked.

“Yes, it is a fact. The first person named Sìneag in the royal family was told to be a goddess reincarnated, though that might just have been because she was so beautiful, and she knew how to play a violin. Very well in fact,” Pàl replied.

“Just out of curiosity, why were all the princesses named Sìneag?” Eilish asked.

“It’s a tradition passed down by the royal family, every couple of decades there would be a new Sìneag to pass down the stories of the old days. Each Sìneag would call on a hero to save her. Presumably, each hero was around the age of 10 to 18 years old... Each of those heroes happened to be named Fraizer. In all honesty, Sìneag and the four of us McNeill’s share the blood of the first ever Sìneag and Fraizer,” Pàl replied.

“Wow! That’s epic!” Eilish cried out in amazement.

“Yes, yes it is,” Pàl said calmly, flipping through pages in his book idly.

“I love pizza!” Eilish said and bit into her still hot pizza, burning herself, “Ouchies it’s still hot!” she started laughing, “I can be really dumb at times!”

She continued laughing. As this occurred, poor Mungo, (who felt left out), carefully used a spatula so he wouldn’t burn himself.

“You’re smart!” Eilish said, smiling.

Mungo blushed and said, “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome!” Eilish said.

“I love parties!” Jamie said.

“Me too!” Eilish agreed.

Sìneag switched to playing a different song on her violin. She ran the bow gracefully over the strings.

“How many songs do you know?” Eilish asked.

“I know a lot of songs. I lost track of how many,” Sìneag replied.

“WOW! COOL!” Eilish practically screamed.

“Yes, it is pretty cool,” Sìneag said.

“Oops!” Eilish said and blushed, “I got a little carried away... I just had too much candy this morning.”

“It’s a party, you can go crazy as long as you don’t destroy the castle,” Sìneag said.

“REALLY?! DO YOU HAVE ANY CANDY?!” Eilish shouted.

“I have some, but I put it in the piñata,” Sìneag said.

“I’m gonna go buy some candy, is anyone here allergic to chocolate or milk?” Eilish asked.

Everyone said no.

“Good,” Eilish said, she smiled and left.
