The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 46

Felicity

POV

As I ran, my heart pounding, I felt the weight of my baby on my back. It was exhausting, but I couldn't stop. I had to save my friend Ava. Suddenly, my baby started crying, and I knew I had to quiet him before we were found.

I quickly untied the loincloth and took off his diaper. He had pooped. He cried even more. I used my left hand to muffle his cries as best I could. As I held him close to my chest, I heard noises coming from behind me. My heart racing, I turned to see Ava running towards me, a look of relief on her face.

"Ava!" I gasped, laying my baby down on the ground and jumping into her arms. "Thank goodness you're okay."

I couldn't help but throw my arms around her, hugging her tightly as tears streamed down my face.

"I'm alright," Ava whispered, hugging me tightly.

"I thought you were dead." I said, shaken by emotion.

"I know," she said softly, rubbing my back soothingly. "But I'm here for you now. We'll get through this together."

I pulled away from her, wiping my tears. "How did you find me? How did you manage to be alive? How do you know my true name? How... How..."

Ava laughed and stopped me from my monologue of questions.

"I faked my death, Felicity. I had to disappear to protect myself," she said in a hushed tone.

"And, I..." She cut me off.

"I will answer all your questions. But we first need to find safety. Come on, let's go."

Ava saw my baby on the ground, and her eyes lit up. She moved slowly towards him as if she were afraid. Once in front of him,she carried him delicately. "It's my baby!" I said, feeling a little guilty for not telling her when I was pregnant.

"I Know... I know Felicity." Elle dit.

And I was shocked. How did she know? I was going to ask her.

As Ava picked up my baby, I watched in awe as he giggled and reached out to touch her face. It was as though he recognized her, even at his young age. "He loves you," I said, smiling through my tears.

"He's so handsome, Felicity," Ava said, holding him close to her chest. "We'll keep him safe too."

With Ava by my side, I finally felt a glimmer of hope. We walked towards the unknown, but together we were stronger. And with my baby in Ava's arms, I knew there was nothing we couldn't do to protect each other.

I let out a shaky breath, feeling safe for the first time in a long while. Ava took hold of my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"We have a lot to catch up on, Felicity. But for now, let's get you somewhere safe," she said, leading me away from the chaos.

We ran together, Ava leading the way. We ran until we were both exhausted, and finally had to stop to catch our breath.

"We have to find a place to hide," Ava said, looking around frantically. "There's a cave not far from here. We can make it there."

Together, we walked towards the cave, with my baby on Ava's back. As we entered the cave, I couldn't help but feel a sense of fear, wondering if anyone was following us.

"We're safe now," Ava said, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. "We'll rest here for a bit before we figure out what to do next."

As we settled into the cave, I couldn't help but think about what Ava had said earlier. How she knew all about me.

I took my baby from Ava's arms and breastfed him.

Ava looked at me with a solemn expression. "Felicity, I've known who you are for a long time."

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"I mean, I knew your true identity. I knew your parents," Ava replied.

My heart started racing. "How is that even possible? I don't even know my own parents."

"That's because they died when you were young. But they were important people. And my parents worked with them, Felicity," Ava explained.

"Your parents worked with them?" I repeated, still trying to wrap my head around what she was saying.

"Yes," Ava said. "They were agents, just like them."

"Agents?" I asked, my eyes widening in surprise.

"Yes, Felicity. Your parents and mine worked together for a secret organization. They were tasked with protecting important information and keeping the werewolf world safe from those who would do harm, such as Maximus." She explained. I was surprised and shocked by my parents. Agents? Amazing!

Seeing my dismay, she hugged my shoulder warmly.

"And how did you know my parents?" I asked him, intrigued and confused.

"I knew your parents, since my parents had introduced me very young into the organization. They introduced me at 4 years and now I'm 26 years old." Ava said, her voice filled with nostalgia.

My mind was reeling. "I had no idea," I said, feeling a little overwhelmed.

"I know. They wanted to protect you, so they kept you away from all that. But now, with everything that's happened..." Ava trailed off.

"What do you mean, with everything that's happened?" I asked, sensing a shift in her tone.

"There are people who want to destroy everything your parents worked for," Ava said, her voice low and serious.

My heart fell in my belly. I was scared and I felt my nerves tense. What the f**k was it?

"And they will stop at nothing to get what they want. That's why I had to disappear. That's why I faked my death." She finished.

"I don't understand, Alpha zander told me you were dead" I asked, confused and lost.

She sighed, then said in a neutral voice" Alpha Zander and his men left me for dead in the forest. My friends from the secret organization 'The League of Justice' learned that we had been attacked by Alpha Zander and they came to my rescue, since I gave them our position."

One question still lingered in my head: why didn't she tell me all this?

"Why didn't you tell me all of this before?" I asked, feeling hurt and a little angry. "I thought we were friends."

Ava looked at me with a sad expression. "I wanted to protect you, Felicity. The less you knew, the safer you were. I knew that if I told you the truth, you might have been a target too. I didn't want to add more problems."

I understood her reasoning, but I still felt betrayed. "I don't know if I can forgive you for lying to me," I said, my voice trembling.

"I understand," Ava said. "But please know that everything I did was to keep you safe. I care about you, Feli. You're like a little sister to me."

I understood her, myself, I had lied to her, so nothing to make a fuss about.

"It's all starting to make sense now," I said, feeling a sense of dread wash over me. "I'm in danger, aren't I?"

"Yes, Felicity. You are," Ava said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "But we'll get through this. Together."

I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of determination wash over me. "What do we do now?" I asked.

"We need to figure out who's after you and why," Ava said. "And we need to stop them before it's too late."

As Ava and I huddled together in the cave, I knew that our journey had just begun. There were still so many unknowns, but I felt a sense of peace knowing that I had someone like Ava by my side. Together, we would uncover the truth, no matter what it took.
