The Lycan’s King Breeder

Chapter 33

But just as I thought it was all over, something inside me snapped. A primal instinct took over and I felt my body start to change. Fur sprouted from my skin, my fingers elongated into claws, and my teeth grew razor sharp.

The pain of shifting only added to the agony in my stomach.

Before I knew it, I was fully transformed into a wolf.

I opened my eyes to see the world from a different perspective, through the eyes of a wolf.

My senses heightened and alert. The forest was a different place from this perspective.

With newfound energy, I sprinted off into the forest, the wind rushing through my fur. I could hear the men's shouts and footsteps behind me, but I knew I was faster than them now. Fortunately, because they did not transform.

As I ran, I noticed a cave up ahead and darted inside. I let out a sigh of relief, grateful for the shelter it provided.

But my reprieve was short-lived as the contractions came, signaling the start of my labor. Despite the pain, I tried to silence my cries. If the men heard me, they'd surely find me.

I listened as they ran past the cave, their voices growing fainter as they moved farther away.

I couldn't wait any longer. I was having this baby whether I liked it or not.

The pain was intense and unrelenting, but I kept quiet. I couldn't let anyone know where I was.

"I can do this," I whispered to myself between breaths. "I have to do this."

Hours passed, and the pain only intensified. But finally, a baby's cry broke the stillness of the cave. I looked down at the tiny, wriggling bundle in my arms, overwhelmed with emotion.

It was a boy, tears streaming down my face. He looked just like his father- Maximus, the Lycan king.

The baby had a little tuft of dark hair on his head, and his features were delicate yet strong.

His eyes were closed as he let out another cry, and I couldn't help but notice how his tiny chest rose and fell with each breath.

His skin was soft and smooth, with a slight pink tint to it. I gently brushed my fingertip over the baby's cheek, and he turned his head towards me, his mouth opening as if searching for food. "You did it," I whispered to my newborn pup. "We made it through together."

I decided he would be called "Phoenix Hunter". Because this name reflected the circumstances of his birth.

As I cradled my newborn, I knew I couldn't stay hidden in the cave forever. But for now, I was content to revel in the miracle of our survival and the bond between a mother and her child.

As I held him, I noticed the way his fingers curled around mine, as if he already knew I was his mother. I marveled at his tiny toes, each one perfect and formed just right. At that moment, I knew I would do anything to protect this little life that I had brought into the world.

Despite the pain and exhaustion that still lingered, I could not help but feel a sense of wonder at the miracle of birth. Here I was, holding a brand new little person - a piece of myself and the man I once loved. And as I looked down at him, I knew without a doubt that he was destined for great things.

As I cuddled with my newborn son, I could not help but feel a sense of impending danger. I knew that my sanctuary in the cave was temporary, and that eventually somebody would find us. I wrapped my son tightly in the only blanket I had and prepared myself for the worst.

Just as my fears began to escalate, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. I held my breath, trying to be as quiet as possible, but I knew it was only a matter of time before we were discovered. Suddenly, the sound of a woman's voice broke through the silence. "Hello?" she called out. "Is anyone in here?"

I hesitated at first, unsure if I should reveal myself. But then I realized that this might be my only chance to help. I stepped out from my hiding spot, my son still cradled in my arms.

The woman's eyes widened in surprise as she saw me. "Oh my goodness," she gasped. "Who are you? What are you doing here?"

I explained to her that I was chased, the subsequent birth of my son.

The woman listened with rapt attention, her eyes never leaving my face.

"Please help me!" I begged her.

"Listen," she said finally, "I might be able to help you. I have friends who can help protect you and your son. But we have to act fast." She whispered urgently.

"Okay, what is the plan?" I asked, feeling grateful.

Without another word, and answering my question, she motioned for me to follow her. I felt a sudden sense of relief knowing that we weren't alone anymore, that there were people willing to help us. We emerged from the cave and made our way through the forest in silence. The woman barely spoke as we walked, her eyes scanning the trees for any sign of danger.

And then, just as we were about to break through the treeline, something happened that I never could have predicted. The woman's demeanor suddenly changed, her voice taking on a sinister edge. "I'm sorry," she said as she turned to face me, "but I can not let you leave."

"Why do you say that? What's the problem?" I asked Lost.

Before I could react, the woman lunged at me, her hands clasping around my neck. I struggled to breathe as she tightened her grip, my son pinned between us.

As I fought to stay conscious, I heard the woman whisper in my ear. "You should never have come here," she said. "You've brought nothing but trouble with you." And then, everything went black.
