The Luna's Hidden Destiny

I followed behind our Luna and Alpha, I promised Chloe this morning that I would tell her everything that happened today but shit..seeing someone’s own father treat them like that..let alone our f*****g Luna..it drove me insane. I don’t know what it is about this girl but everyone feels it.

We all want to protect her with our lives. It isn’t even a s****l thing, we know how possessive Alpha Rowen is of her so we don’t even go there. It’s more like something deep down, an urge to protect her at all costs. Chloe doesn’t understand, she isn’t an Alphas warrior and what’s weird about it all is the fact that Mila isn’t even part of the pack or the official Luna yet.

Seeing her bleeding on the ground, her eyes full of anguish, I wished right at that moment that I personally would get to be the one to slit her father’s throat. Even though I know there is a long line of people waiting before me.

Chloe’s going to be pissed, don’t get me wrong…I love the girl, but deep down, I wished she was different. I wished she was supportive and loved me as much as I did her. I was ready to mate and mark her the moment I saw her then she told me her crazy plan to become Luna.

If she does anything to endanger or try to hurt my Luna..as much as it will hurt, I won’t hesitate one second to punish her accordingly.

‘Our Luna is special, she must be protected at all costs.’

Puck growled to me and I knew in my heart it was completely true.

We had been running for hours, I was beyond exhausted as we crossed the border into Black Stone. The feeling of relief filled me as I felt like I was finally home. The sun was just setting, we had been away for hours. As soon as I saw the house Calypso couldn’t hold on any longer, my body shifted back as I fell to the ground. Everyone was on me instantly. Rowan shifted back as he ran to me, his long arms cradling me against his chest as he lifted me quickly.

“Mila, are you okay?” He breathed, I nodded my head softly and turned into him. My body was cold and shaking. I could feel Calypso shrink into the back of my mind, too exhausted to speak.

“Blake, get Doctor Lewis immediately.” Rowan barked, carrying me into the house as I felt someone place a blanket over me.

“Ian tell Greta to get a bath started and bring up some food.” He burst through the doors rushing towards the elevator.

“We have to get you warm, why didn’t you tell me you felt this weak? F**k Mila..” he sounded angry.

“Sorry.” I chattered through my teeth. Rowan just growled, pulling me closer to him as I relished his warmth. My arms wrapped around his chest as I nuzzled my face into him.

‘So tired.’

Calypso whispered weakly.

Sleep took me under as that exhaustion washed over me.

Not sure how long I was sleeping for, I awoke to hushed voices speaking gently nearby.

“She will be okay, considering this was only her third or fourth time transforming I’m surprised she lasted as long as she did.” A male voice said, who sounded a lot like Dr. Lewis.

“What about the wound?” Rowan asked worriedly.

“It’s pretty much healed, I think between that, not eating, and using her wolf to the full extent, she is exhausted. Not to mention whatever trauma she had gone through.” The doctor said sadly.

“Did you bring the sample? We still have her b***d from her previous tests, so no point in pulling more from her.” His voice was quieter this time, whatever they were talking about was much more serious.

“Yeah, Tristan is on his way to drop it off at the hospital now. How long with the test take?” I suddenly felt Rowan’s hand brush against my arm as a soft m**n left me. His warmth traveled through me and settled in my tummy.

My eyes were too heavy to open but my ears were still alert. His hand was on me at all times as he continued to speak.

“It usually takes two days, we should know by then. Also, I brought the contraceptive shot if you would like me to administrate it now. You spoke to her about it?” Dr. Lewis asked with concern.

“Yes, we don’t need her to get pregnant with a pup right now, especially after everything she has been through. Plus I just want my time with her for the time being..” his hand gripped my own tightly, causing me to turn my head a little.

“Okay, if you wish..and Alpha Rowan, you need to make sure she is eating enough.” He chastised Rowan and I had to agree with him…I felt like I had hardly eaten since the time I have been here.

“Yes Doctor, things have just been..busy.” He said sheepishly. The doctor laughed and sleep began creeping up once more.
