Chapter 19
“Hello Alpha Josiah. I didn’t know you would be visiting.” I smiled at him holding back the bile in my throat. I could see him sniffing the air and then narrowing his gaze at me.
“Well now. I didn’t know you were a wolf. I wondered why someone who used to serve the royals would be visiting here this last weekend. How about you come in and introduce yourself to the rest of the group?” He took a few steps back to allow me enough room to enter but before I could push past him I made sure to listen to my friends to make sure they were in place. No matter who was in here or against us my parents will be free from them.
“Thank you, Alpha.” I gave him my biggest smile and walked past him into the living room. My parents were sitting on the love seat looking a little beat up. They gave no indication that we knew each other and I couldn’t smell myself here so my mother must of done a quick spell to protect me until later.
I looked around the room to see who else was here from Josiah’s pack and saw his Beta along side two of his warriors. What surprised me was seeing Andrew there looking a deer in headlights along with his two stooges. Andrew looked ashamed to be there and wouldn’t look me in the eye.
“Oh do you know the soon to be Alpha Andrew of the Raging Moon pack. His father sent him here to beg for them to join us in an alliance. I haven’t decided yet. What do you think?” He looked at me pointedly probably hoping for a smart a*s answer so he could rip me to shreds even if he didn’t know who I was. So I just shrugged and looked away.
‘Ryder I want to rip him apart. He knows something about us and he is waiting for a chance to say something or hurt us. Let me at him!’ Blue raged inside me head and kept pacing. I explained to her the difficult situation with my parents and needing to know what this alpha knew and about his two packs he has know. I could smell rogue all over him but that could be from him killing them. He can’t be a rogue if has a pack so It didn’t make any sense just yet.
I decided to mindlike Andrew before things got out of hand. ‘Andrew, don’t look surprised or scared. It is just me using this link to find out what is going on with your being here. Is what he said true?’
Andrew looked startled but covered it up quickly. When I looked around the room before sitting down across from my parents no one else had noticed a thing so that was good.
‘My father sent us here just like he said. I don’t want to have anything to do with this pyscho but my father is bent on having the most powerful pack. At this point I don’t know if want to even be the Alpha of this pack if my father sets us on this course of destruction.’ Andrew linked back and I couldn’t even grasp what was wrong with the alpha. The only reason to be the most powerful was if you needed the protection or you craved the power to hurt others.
‘What did you tell your father about me?’ I linked back as Josiah got comfortable beside me and faced me. I knew he had more crap questions that would lead to someone getting hurt.
“Yes Alpha Josiah? I know you had some questions but I have a few things to do this evening before I can even finish my homework.” Hopefully he will tell me why he was following a royal follower, Jared, and hopefully it isn’t that someone betrayed me.
Andrew had his arms crossed and you could see the whiteness of his fists as he controlled himself to stay still. He finally linked me back. ‘I only told him you covered your scent and you were a wolf without a pack. I knew enough that if he knew you were a royal he would hunt you down or use you to his advantage. You have to get out of here.’ Silly boy doesn’t he know it is too late? I have my parents and him to save. Although ripping a part a shitty Alpha like his dad has now been added on my to do list as of now.
Josiah was speaking with his Beta like I didn’t ask him a question or the fact that I didn’t even exist. What a twatwaffle. So I link Andrew with a thank you and tell him about my friends being outside waiting for the signal to help me save my parents and myself. He was surprised that two humans were my parents but he got over it quickly mentioning he had about ten guys outside and he would help us escape.
I was officially frustrated since I wanted to get this over and done with. I coughed a few times really loudly while staring at Alpha Josiah. He looked over at me in an irritated fashion so I just smiled really big and clasped my hand together over my knew.
“Yes, Ryder? What can I help you with?”
“Well, Josiah. I am getting a bit bored and I am ready for all of you to vacate my parents house so let’s get the questioning done, shall we?” I smirked when I didn’t call him by his title and you could see the steam coming off of his ears. ‘Best idea ever girl,’ Blue whispered as she readied herself to take down an alpha if necessary.
