The Last Royal Luna

(Book 3) – Chapter 34

“If you even think about putting hot sauce in my pancake I will duct tape you from the ceiling fan, Blake.” I growled at Blake as I passed him and beelined my way to the coffee machine. “It is much too early for your crap. I need caffeine in an IV bag to even get ready for the phone meeting with Roger and Sandra plus I have to finish up my speech.”

“You mean start your speech, right?” Andrew teased me before kissing my cheek and making a grab for my coffee cup.

I slapped his hand and snarled at him. “Touch it and die. You are the reason I am wore out this morning.” He just winked and headed to the table.

Asher and Kane gave him a high five. “Lucky, I hope my night goes the same way.” Kane looked over at him and I could feel the l**t coming off him in waves.

“Perverts. It wasn’t like that..exactly. Somebody is a dang cover hog and snores if his head isn’t only two pillows. Why is it that people that I am the spoiled one?” Andrew rolled his eyes at me and I just stuck my tongue out.

“Alright, leave her alone. She is our mate and has loved us even though we are asshats most of the time.” Edgar stated as he walked in with Knox and Koda right behind him. “She also gave us our beautiful children and if we want more of them, we should be on her good side.”

“Exactly. Now I have to head to the office to deal with my phone call and make sure that the rest of our group is almost here.”

“Do you know where you are going or should I go with you?” Knox teased. Of course, he and his brother knew where everything was in the castle since they grew up around here.

I stared up at the ceiling and counted to five before answering. I didn’t want to rip his pretty little head off. I just don’t get why they don’t understand that today is not the day to keep messing with me. I am tired, stressed, worried, and really missing my babies. I would rather curl up into a ball and cry on my bed for a few hours instead I have to be an adult and do important things.

Edgar walked up and pulled me into a hug. “I know, baby. I miss them, too. Everything is going to be ok and this will be over sooner than we think. Lets just focus on today and get everything done in time for a quick zoom call to our kiddos.”

I lost it and dissolved into tears. I could feel my snot coating Edgars jacket and I couldn’t speak, not any real words anyway. The world around me got super quiet and Edgar held me tighter. He kept whispering encouraging words and confessions full of love. I just wanted my babies here and all of this to be over. Why did everything have to be so hard when others found their mates and had kids. They were able to lead a peaceful life.

Asher came up behind me and put his head on top of mine while putting his hands on my h**s. “We all love you and we just give you s**t because that is how we show our love. We are stupid children in adult bodies. You are the center of us and we need you more than you will ever need us. We are sorry. We are here for you no matter what. Just tell us when things are wrong and what we can do to fix it or that we need to get our heads our of our asses to figure out what we need to do.”

“Yea, I want to know when I am being a stubborn butt hole. Id rather you be honest and hurt my feelings then you hold everything in.” Blake stated wrapping his arms around the guys and myself. “Plus these all hands on deck kind of hugs make me a happy Blakey.”

I heard a slap and Blake say ouch. “Shut it, dummy. She doesn’t need to hear about your weird kinks.” Andrew warned him before covering up my last side. “We all miss our babies and we will do what we must to get back to them safely. We are doing this so they won’t have to be scared for the lives everyday like we do now. You are going to get your revenge, justice, and save all our asses in the process.”

The rest of the guys crowded around me but before they could say anything the door was slammed open. “WHO MADE MY BEST FRIEND CRY? WHO WANTS TO DIE TODAY, MOTHER TRUCKERS?” Oh, that would be Melissa my crazy best friend who didn’t know how to knock.

The guys stepped back and instantly cupped their nuts. They were getting smarter every time they had to deal with her. She had colored Blakes nut hair bright pink a few weeks ago for being mean to me. He couldn’t get it off until he begged forgiveness on his knees. I may have taken a picture to remember it by.

I ran over to her and hugged her tightly. “How were my babies this morning? Were they doing all right with my parents? They were happy and safe, right?”

“They were in great shape when we left. Your dad and Trixie were covered in baby oatmeal so they may need some prayers.” Alistair answered my questions as he pushed his way in the door followed by the rest of the gang.

I stepped back and welcomed them all inside. I gave everyone a update on the party planning and the soon to be phone call regarding the messenger Roger caught along with the pack they saved from an attack. They must have noticed my stress so Melissa instantly went into mother mode and took over the party planning so she would handle the meetings with the party planner and the rules we needed to follow along with helping me with my speech. She instantly ran off with Kane and Kailey following her, as requested per me, to find the planner and get it done. I made to remind her that I did not want bubble gum pink or anything with too much glitter. I was not barbie and she knew it. All I got was a wink. Ugh.

Alistair, Knox, Jared, and Asher decided they were coming with me to the meeting. I knew that it was partly for my support but the bigger part was that they had this need to know what was going on so they could plan for the many different outcomes that could happen. I was glad they thought like that and that not everyone jumped up to join me. I knew the rest wanted to know what happened with the messenger, but they gladly decided to help out another way.

Heath, Tyler, Koda, Edgar, and the new witch, Mya, decided to head to the training ground to help out. They also wanted to watch for anyone who might be a spy and help some of the weaker members in case Nick did start attacking. I think Heath and Tyler wanted to see some fighting styles and maybe if someone might be weaker than them.

“Lets do this thang, baby doll.” Knox said as he put my arm through his. “I can’t wait to find out what the traitor wolf said.”

We barely made it to the office before my phone was chirping letting me know I had a text message.

We are ready. – Sandra

Same.- Roger

Bout to make the group call on the computer. Got a few joiners. Trustworthy. U know them. – Me

kk- Sandra

Yup – Roger

When I looked up Jared had the computer all logged in ready to go. Asher had brought over some chairs, and they were all sitting, waiting for me. Ok, geez, no slow down on this ride. I called them up and got the regular greeting crap out of the way.

“Ok, Roger. What have you gotten out of him?” I was not a patient person.

“He didn’t have much he could give. He is a lower level within the ranks.” Roger pulled over a notebook he must have written down some notes in. “He didn’t know where the hide out is but he did know where the guy he reports to will be tomorrow so we will be headed there in just a few hours. The Queen is the one who started sending the messengers and it has worked its way down the grapevine that she is losing her s**t that you haven’t been killed yet. She is the one who wants your twins, and she wants Alistair’s daughter. They believe with her being a hybrid she is part of the prophecy with your twins although they don’t know the whole thing. It seems only you and whoever was with you know any of it.”

“That crazy b***h. She lays one hand on my twins or Mel’s daughter, and I will rip her intestines out through her throat.” I was fuming. No one threatens my kids.

Roger chuckled. “I may have said something like that before stabbing him with a silver knife. He did mention that everyone was worried about how strong you are and how much stronger you will be if you are able to become queen. So make sure you have eyes out everyone because Nick might just be a distraction.”

“We have eyes everyone. No one will stop this coronation, nor will they lay a hand on my family.” Asher’s wolf was pushing forward. Blue started to purr at how protective he was.

“Calm down, baby. Lets hear from Sandra before joining the training so we can get some anger out and make sure the pack members are ready for this.” I put my hand on his leg and waited until he pulled his wolf back. I turned back toward the screen and nodded to Sandra.

Sandra mentioned that the Beta team found a group of vampires who followed the fake queen but they gave no information before attacking until they had to take them out. They are back on the road this morning. The short distance runners found a cave with rogues ready to take out a pack about three hours from us. When they went to the pack and told them what happened they locked up the gates and got everyone inside. They didn’t even let our people inside. Everything at the pack house was working out great.

“I am glad it is going so well. You are such a good alpha.” I praised her.

“I do have a question about something.” Sandra said in a low, wobbly voice. “What happens after the coronation? Don’t you have to live there afterwards? Will you just move or will everyone want to go with you?”

“I hadn’t even though that far ahead. I would have to move here and I know some of our families would want to move here but not all will be able to. Your pack is loyal to you so they would stay.” I looked at Jared and he gave me a sad smile.

“How about we figure that out when we have to? For now, lets wrap this call up and start on some new plans to get this war over with.” Jared took over for me and was able to get us off the video call within a few minutes.

“Now lets go get some of our feelings out.” Knox picked me up and walked out the door.
