The Last Royal Luna

(Book 3) – Chapter 29

“Open the gates!” I yelled stalking up to the front gate. I was so over this s**t. At this point I just wanted to know who else I had to kill to get some f*****g peace before I took this war to the bosses of this so-called messenger and his five little friends.

“Baby what are you planning? You are feeling a tad bit like a loose cannon right now and that is making me nervous.” Blake admitted as he tried his best to keep pace with me. “And just know no matter what you decide I am right here behind you.”

The rest of the guys agreed, which was great and all but I didn’t really need their approval for my actions. I just killed one of my biggest bullies and I was still riding that high. I didn’t get a chance to enjoy it or celebrate it with the packs before even more s**t was falling down on us.

“No plan. Just done with this shit.” Blue growled out making herself known as we stopped as the gate opened to show the visitors. The front man must be the messenger with the way he was standing and staring daggers at us.

I studied him and his friends. They all had stiff stances and hate in their eyes. I could feel a strong aura from them all but something made it feel wrong. Almost like it was forced to be a part of them so it must be some kind of dark magic. I am so sick of people abusing magic and other people.

‘No one say anything. He is pushing his aura out right now and wants us to speak first. It’s a f*****g power play and I won’t be dealing with it today.’ I linked everyone and moved my eyes back to the front guys.

He was silent for another minute or so before he looked back at his group and shook his head. He knew he had lost this standoff, as pathetic as it was. I would never understand why males thought they would win every battle with a female. I bet he didn’t pull that with his witch queen.

“I was sent to speak with you on behalf of King Victor Smith the third and Queen Rena Smith of the Wolves, Witches, and Vampires.” He took a step closer to us like we needed to be able to hear better. He sniffed and grimaced but didn’t step away. “They wish to settle all these talks of war. They see no need in any of you dying for a useless cause. We would hate to lose a few faithful followers, but to lose so many who are against us would be a difficult lose for us all. We need you alive and well.”

He was only looking at me so I just tilted my head to the side and he got annoyed. He huffed and looked up at the sky. Probably wondering why he had to leave his stuck-up friends to deal with us simpletons. I looked over at the twins to see them barely holding onto their straight faces and not laughing at the messenger.

He g*****d before he turned his face back to mine. “Look, let me break it down for you. We don’t want to kill off so many of the numbers especially when your b***d is at tasty treat.” He licked his lips showing us his fangs. He didn’t smell like a vampire but whatever. “We know we will win because we do it by any means necessary. Ryder, your parents…”

I sped toward him and decapitated him. I let his head roll back into one of his friends’ feet making him take a step back. I looked down and saw the body on the ground beside me leaking b***d all over. I saw b***d covering my body and for the first time it didn’t bother me. It made me feel proud like I had done the right thing.

I looked at the five who looked ready to bolt. “Tell your FAKE King and Queen they are next. I will not now nor ever bow to their pathetic attempt at ruling. They are killers, traitors who deserve to die slowly and painfully. Those who follow them blindly will die right along with them. You better make a choice after you deliver my message.”

Fur sprouted and I shifted letting Blue push forward. She howled pushing the pain of my family into her howl making all others howl with me scaring the guys in front of me enough to make them run. She wanted to chase them down but I yanked on her to get her attention. I howled to let all the wolves know it was time for b***d, tears, and sweat. It was time to win our rights back and for me to take my birth right. It was time for a new era starting with a crown I would win by b***d.

I looked back at my group and saw everyone’s mouths open. Some had faces of anger, others shock. Whoops. I guess I hadn’t voiced how f*****g sick I was of waiting around to find anything out. I was ready to take the fight to them and earn my crown while bathing in their traitorous b***d. I shifted back and took Koda’s offered shirt to cover myself.

‘In four days we will have a meeting with everyone including every member of every back we are allied with. We will do it over zoom for the ones who can’t be here. I have some decisions I have to make and some time with my children beforehand.’ I linked the pack looking over at Sandra hoping she understood I wasn’t trying to take over her pack and see that I was just stepping into my role of being a Queen who makes decisions for the better of all the packs. The Witch and Vampire had to die.

‘It will be ok, Ryder. That messenger knew he was here to either get us to roll over and submit, kill us, or be killed. They should of knew better then to send a snotty brat. I think we should of killed his friends because we can’t trust they won’t come back and cause us issues.’ Blue laid down to rest and her voice fading as she fell asleep. ‘Let’s go see our pups and get some attention from the guys. I think we all need a few days together.’

She was right and we really only needed one person to deliver such a small message. ‘Warriors I need a few of the best trackers sent after the wolves who just ran. We only need one alive to deliver the message. Id rather take care of the trash before it becomes a smelly problem for us.’

Samuel leaned over and whispered something to Sandra before looking back at me with a nod. “It will be taken care of. I agree its time to play offensive.” He turned and left with a few of the warriors. Sandra nodded and trailed after Samuel.

“Lets all head home and let the warriors on duty protect us. It has been a hard day for all of us and I know I needed time to think about everything that has happened.” I turned and left no waiting to see what everyone else decided.

‘Please send someone to take the body to the burn pile and take care of it before getting rid of the b***d. We don’t need animals crowding our gates.’ I linked one of the warriors at the gate. I think his name was Kelly, but I wasn’t sure.

He said he had it under control. Koda caught up with me twisting me around to face him. He didn’t speak before taking my lips in his for a hard, thirsty k**s sending tingles all over. His hand traveled into my hair yanking my head back, so I had to look at him.

“You are in deep trouble and some things to make up for, baby. Are you up for it?” He growled, biting my lower l*p hard enough to bleed.

“Yes, Sir.” I panted. The rest of my mates crowded around me touching any part of me they could.

“I am going to text your parents we will be back late tonight so they know they can sleep at our house with the twins. Edgar here is going to get a taste of his dinner before the rest of us take you somewhere to feast on the rest of you.”

Edgar took Koda spot in front of me and leaned forward enough to lick the side of my neck. “I have been so hungry for so long, my darling. I can’t wait to feed from your b***d, sweat, and tears before feasting on my dessert.”

f**k, I was in so much trouble. Go me.
