The Last Royal Luna

(Book 3) – Chapter 10

“This baby is lucky she is coming out soon because I would be evicting her cute a*s,” Melissa grumbled as we waddled our way around the pack houses.

I just laughed at her and kept rubbing her back. She was having the worst contractions, but they were still hours apart. This baby girl had a thing for her sciatic nerve and kicking her in the ribs. I wished I could help her with the pain but all I could offer was company and food.

“I know. I am pretty sure the twins are trying to shove out of my v****a by breaking my bladder.” I had to pee for the twentieth time this walk. I had gone behind several trees, but I needed to sit down this time. “Lets go in the packhouse so I can use an actual bathroom instead of roughing it like cave women.” She laughed and nodded.

“Thank goddess. I need a dang snack and an ear bleaching after hearing the girls talk about giving birth…in so much detail,” Heath shuttered holding the door open for us. He was taking the walk with us along with Alistair and his vampire friend, Tyler. We couldn’t go anywhere alone anymore, which baffled me. What were they doing to do if we went into labor because there is no way any of them would see my v****a.

“Zip it kid or the girls will turn on us. We have no food, sweets, or pain relief for them.” Alistair gave him a glare before running inside. He knew we would have his wolf hide for remark.

Melissa started to speed up, making her breath harder and faster as she did. She was going to waddle her way to deal with him and it had all of us cracking up. I barely made it to the bathroom after all that.

“I love this bathroom. I know it is weird to love a bathroom but I have so many memories here with several of your daddies.” I rubbed my tummy talking to my babies. I knew they could hear me and I loved that I was able to share everything with them already.

“Also, the shower has the best water pressure. Oh, my lord. I need it in our house asap.”

‘WE NEED HELP. THE EAST SIDE IS SURROUNDED BY THE ENEMY.’ One of the warriors linked me. f**k, another one? Can’t we get a break? If these guys take one of my family again I am going to find a way to prolong their painful deaths.

I finished up in a rush not even drying my hands after washing them and running from the room. I linked the warriors and had them head toward that side causing me to almost tackled Heath onto the couch in the main room but stopped just in time. My anxiety had started to kick in making me feel the panic of not knowing where my family was.

“Alistair, where is my mom and dad?” I ran up to him and Melissa as she was breathing through a contraction. “The girls? The vampires can’t get them again.”

“I will call them in just a second. Somebody is trying to break my hand right now,” He replied between the noises he was making while Melissa gripped his hand tighter and tighter. I was not ready for that.

“I will call them. You may have more than a broken hand on your plate as it is.” Heath pulled his cell phone out and dialed my dad’s number.

“Your mate’s water just broke.” That was all he had to say before we all stared at the puddle under Mel.

‘This is not good. An attack while Mel goes into labor and my family is freaking missing. This twins better stay put.’ I linked Blue and she agreed.

Alistair had started to freak out having Mel sit down on the coffee table and started pacing talking about where the hospital bag was and going to grab it. I grabbed his shoulders and shook him until he looked at me.

“Calm down, turbo. The bag can be grabbed by Heath and Tyler. You take her to the doctor. I will link ahead and then I will be getting every family member who has children to take them to the basement of the pack house. No child is getting stolen,” I growled out pushing Alistair toward Melissa. “Also extra protection at the hospital especially the nursery.”

I gave Melissa a hug and told her I would be there as soon as I could. She just nodded with tears. She told me it was fine and to keep the pack safe like I should. Also to keep someone with me since it could be my time anytime now.

“I will call your mates and give them an update once we get settled into the room.” Alistair wrapped his arm around melissa and pulled her toward the doors.

I yelled, “No, don’t. They have enough stress. We can handle this for now. They need to get their work done and get home soon.” He just nodded with a tight l*p and they left.

Heath walked up to me with fear on his face. “Your parents went to pack up their old house. They took two vamps and two werewolves with them. They should be headed back shortly but they aren’t answering. I had to get a hold of one of the vampire leaders to find that out.”

I screamed punching the wall. I heard and felt the bones in my hand c***k. “Did my sisters go?” If this attack was happening now I knew my parents were going to get caught up on it. If they were even a small percentage as smart as us they had people watching us from a far.

“I will find them.” Was all Tyler said as he ran from the pack house. I just stared after him feeling the weight on my chest get heavier. f**k, how did this happen? Trixie can’t handle another vampire getting to her. She was already having so many freaking nightmares.

“If he says he will find out he will. He is like a b***d hound when he is looking for information.” Heath rubbed my shoulders and pushed me toward the doors. “How about you link the doctor and lets get some of the leaders involved in this so we can cover all parts of the pack?”

I looked at his face to see how light it had gotten and I could see the extra sweat on his face. “I know you are nervous but you are so smart and perceptive. When you become Gamma you will surpass your dad in so many ways. I am thankful for you.” His face turned into a tomato from his blush.

‘Melissa is headed your way. Her water broke and her contractions are about 9-10 minutes apart. Also make sure you have a witch nearby. I have heard babies from witches can cause some trouble with their magic.’ I linked all the doctors and staff so they would be ready. ‘Also we are under attack if you didn’t know. I have no clue if we are fighting yet but be ready to help mend some of us up.’

I linked all the Alphas who were still here and had them head toward the east side. I could feel Blue pushing healing power toward my hand but I didn’t even feel the pain right now. Too much going on and my head was going in a thousand different directions.

‘I want every child under 12 and their families in the basement at the Pack House NOW.’ I linked the whole pack and I knew they felt my panic. “I also want triple the guards at the Hospital and around the nursery. No child will be kidnapped or even get close to that this time. I am having everyone pitch in currently. If you need help getting to the pack house link someone and let them know. I need all of you safe so I can take care of these traitors.’

Making our way to the East side I said a prayer for Melissa and Alistair for a healthy baby girl. And that this added stress wouldn’t affect their bubble of love and newness of being parents. They deserved better. If didn’t know better someone was watching close enough to know the guys were gone and that my beta would be out of commission soon. It doesn’t change anything except that I would be more ruthless in keeping my wolves and my family safe.

Heath’s phone rang. I looked over as he answered. His face went from a smile to a frown instantly. My hackles were up and Blue had started to pace.

“Heath, who is it?” I kept my voice calm and steady.

“Your parents are…they are..” He couldn’t even say it.

“They are WHAT?” f**k no. f**k s**t.

“The house is empty excluding their phones and a letter for you. The vampires and wolves that went with them are dead.”

My legs gave out and I fell to my knees. “My sisters?”

“Still nothing on where they are.”
