The Last Royal Luna

(Book 2) – Chapter 50

“RYDER MOVE!” Edgar yelled as I turned around to see what he was talking about.

The leader had stood up again but was swaying on her feet so she wouldn’t be up long. She used the rest of her strength to shove power into her hands. It was like I was in slow motion with seeing her actions and how I reacted to them.

Her ball of white, crackling energy was building bigger and I was starting to feel this blazing heat. Damn it. If this hits me I am dead and I can’t let that happen.

‘Blue, I need you. I need your strength. We have to get up or move. Something.’ I urged Blue hoping she would get up off the ground. I could see how hard she was panting and how she looked so drained as it was.

‘I don’t think I can, Ryder. My body hasn’t ever felt this exhausted.’ She started coughing hard enough to stop breathing.

‘s**t. Blue, be strong. I will figure it out.’ I was about to say before a small ball of magic hit my back sending pain down my spine all the way to the tips of my toes.

“Ryder! Be strong! One of us will get to you soon!” Yelled Edgar. I looked around until me eyes fell on him fighting with a witch. He had turned back human and was fighting with his fists. He had cuts on his chest and it looked like a huge burn on his back. I needed to get up and help him.

I found Knox fighting a witch while holding onto Charles who looked even paler than before. I didn’t even know that was possible. Charles’s body sagged down and his eyes were b***d red meaning he needed to feed soon. Knox had rope mark around his throat like someone had choked him hard enough to leave an imprint and it made me angry. So angry that I wanted the ground flooded with these witch’s b***d.

I rolled over onto my stomach using my anger as motivation and it hurt like the someone punching my lower back repeatedly. I couldn’t hold in my whimper and it caused Kane to look my way. He ended up getting punched in the face and I saw specks of b***d fly away from his nose. I didn’t have to hear the crunch to know it was broken and I felt my anger get stronger. If I was going to be able to do anything I was going to need to use my anger. Between my heat using up my energy and the pain I was fighting I was going to need to use anything I could. Each cut, bruise, broken bone, and ounce of pain my mates were experiencing was going to be our savior and my fuel.

I looked closer at Kane and saw that he was limping. He had b***d flowing down his legs but I couldn’t see the cut. I had to hope it wasn’t his. He did have a big cut across his back but it looked like the bleeding had slowed down. I was only a tad bit upset at that but when I noticed that the female witch he was fighting kept looking at his manhood I lost my s**t.

“You look at my mans p***s one more time I am going to come over there and scratch out your eyeballs!” I growled out as I got up onto my hands and knees.

She laughed and ignored me. I noticed the leader was chanting faster and harder while straining to keep her ball of energy under her control. Another witch standing with the leader changed her chant and I saw bugs start to crawl toward me. I HATE bugs. They are disgusting creatures with too many damn legs and ugly faces that could cause nightmares.

I looked over at Asher and saw him being held down by a witch with a knife at his throat. A second witch was standing above them with a smirk on her face as she chanted. I looked back as Asher and saw b***d forming around where the blade was. They were going to curse him and his b***d which meant killing them or controlling them. These witches turned dark awhile ago and led us into a trap.
