The Last Royal Luna

“I am going to kill you.” He seethed and his pack instantly bulked at that. He looked at them with disgust. “I am your leader and you will do as I say. This wolf and her mates don’t leave her alive. If you can’t do it I have friends who will.”

“You mean two vampire clans you are paying to keep the others away and to take a few wolves from the pack that aren’t following your exact orders.” I hadn’t planned on outing him but I had to do what I had to do.

The crowd went dead silent watching us both with shock and hurt in their eyes. I kept my eyes on the Alpha waiting for him to speak but he was silent. He just stared at me probably imaging my horrible and painful death. My mates stepped closer to me making sure to keep an eye all around us.

“All you spout is lies, you stupid b***h. You came into our pack to pull up apart and you have succeeded until now. I am the Luna of this pack and I love all of my wolves. We would never deceive them or hurt them in any way. They are our family and we treat them as such.” I heard a few in the pack agree with her while the others were still being silent.

“So you letting your daughter touch their mates in a s****l manner is a family thing? How would you like a one of the pack females touching your mate? If it is a family thing it should be fine right?” I asked her eyeing her reaction. “Who would like to volunteer to test this? If Diamond touched your mate and your Luna allowed it raise your hand.”

The Luna growled before launching herself at me. I grabbed her by her throat before she reached me stopping her claws short of my face. “My…Mate..is..m-mine!” I squeezed harder so she wasn’t able to talk. The Alpha started to run at me but my mates grabbed his arms shoving him down to his knees.

“So you are lying to cover your a*s? Good to know.” I look at the pack and see everyone is upset at the Luna. “Do you all know why she was locked in a room here? She committed treason against me while letting her daughter try to touch my mate and get him to reject me while taking her as a mate. What a joke.”

The pack started growling. They may have a Luna and Alpha but the royal family is above them so their wolves respect them even more. I want to earn that respect not just accept it but for now I needed them to clearly see what their leaders were doing to their pack. I needed them to see that Leif was the better Alpha and I was going to push him to challenge his father today. After he won I would just have Faith and Diamond to deal with. I had no idea what to do with them and I did not want to kill them. Well I did want to hurt them badly but killing them won’t help us in any way.

“Calm down. I have a plan. Leif is the heir and has been loyal to you all no matter what. He hates what his father has done and had no idea what his sister was doing. I think he should be Alpha.”

“My son would never challenge me for that position.” The Alpha laughed at me. My mates growled at him but I just ignored him. I had heard Leif join our meeting about ten minutes ago but he was hiding within the crowd.

“Actually I would.” Leif yelled from the back of the crowd. He pushed through the middle until he walked up the stairs to stand in front of his father. “I, Leif Jacobs, challenge you, Alpha Zach Jacobs, for the position of the Alpha. The fight shall be to the death.” His voice was heard over everything. It seemed even the bugs were quietly listening for Zach’s answers.

“I accept. It is your death after all.” Alpha Zach sneered.
