The Last Royal Luna

(Book 2) – Chapter 29

“I think you all should leave.” The Luna states as she stands up and nods toward the two warriors who were standing at the door. She must of mind linked them to come here.

“No. Sit down, Mate.” The Alpha commanded. She sat down but looked at him with a scowl that meant his a*s was grass when they got back to their house. “She is the princess and we must respect her. She is right that the omegas are not treated as fairly as we should and that fact that Diamond doesn’t do anything. Any suggestions, Ryder?”

‘I think he is just trying to win you over. His body language says he is pissed the hell off at what you said. But why win you over?’ Knox linked us all.

I want to think the best of this guy but my gut says he is more of a coward when it comes to anything hurting him.’ Blake linked back with an apology to Asher.

‘I agree. Let’s ride it out though and use what we can do our benefit.’ Asher linked us and I agreed with all of them.

“Does she train at all? If not, she needs to. No one needs a wolf that can’t fight when it means life or death. She could also help out in the kitchen or with the pups. That would help the pack get to know her on a more personable level and make them trust her more.” I hoped that didn’t sound as crappy as I thought it sounded but it was the truth.

“She doesn’t train with the pack. She has a warrior train her in private like they should. Can’t she just work with us doing paperwork or talking to other leaders?” The Luna looked at the Alpha with a smile.

Before he could answer I did. “No. Training in private is the stupidest thing I have heard. Why not with the pack where you have multiple to help you and you to help them. It is kind of like the family image you all put on for this pack. And no leader will speak with her. She has no idea on pack issues, finances, training, or can she make any big decisions. They will laugh at you. I know I would.” My mates nodded in agreement.

The Lunas face went bright red in anger and she screamed. “GET THE HELL OFF OUR LANDS. WE WON’T BE HELPING WITH ANYTHING IF YOUR INVOLVED AND I WILL DO WHAT I NEED TO MAKE SURE NO ONE FOLLOWS YOU AS A PRINCESS!” She tried to run off from that, but Alistair grabbed her before she could get to the door.

“That is treason, Luna Faith.” Alistair growled at her while tightening his grip. I looked at Alpha Zach and saw him stand up.

“She did not mean what she said. She is emotional and protective of her only daughter. I have spoiled her and my daughter more than I should have. This is my fault that they think they can say what they want. I am so sorry.” He glared at both of them putting them in their place.

Everyone looked at me to see what I thought and what action I would take. I honestly have no idea. I didn’t put any belief in her threats since I knew she was just an arm piece to the Alpha and most everyone figures that out within the first ten minutes of having a serious talk with them. She might get a few wolves hungry for her to help out but it wouldn’t do much damage. On the other hand I can’t let a threat just go like that. More people will pull the same thing and worse if I am a push over.

“I haven’t ever had someone threaten me like that before. I need time to think on it. What do you think, Alistair? You have dealt with these types of politics longer than I have.” I looked at him and I am pretty sure his chest puffed out. My beta likes being asked about important items.

“How about confined to a room here with two of your mates watching the door. I would also ask a few omegas to watch the room and house for anyone trying to get her out.” I nodded and he took her out of the room with the two warriors following with frowns on their faces.

“Kane and I will go first. Love you!” Knox said as he kissed me and left the room. Kane kissed me harder showing Knox up and laughing as he walked toward his pissed off twin.

“Ok so we will talk tomorrow when your oldest son is in. What time is training tomorrow? Diamond and I will both be there. Also where are we staying?” I looked at the Alpha for an answer and ignored Diamonds complaining.

“Six am on the fields. We got a cabin prepared for you all about a mile down the road. The omega that cooked dinner can show you.” I nodded and left the room with my mates following.
