The Lady Love in Yoreco Novel Full Episode

Chapter 10

Chapter 10 He’s Actually Poisoned

Kayla feared her brother slightly. Even though he was paralyzed, his aura was on par with everyone else in the family. She could even sense the hidden murderous intent in his eyes when she met his gaze.

She shivered subconsciously, suddenly at a loss for words.

Meanwhile, Rebecca was slightly shocked as she looked at the man on the bed, for it didn’t occur to her that he would help her out. Immediately after that, she let out a small smile. He wasn’t as fierce as she thought.

Maurice naturally had to respect Levi’s decisions. In reality, he didn’t want to make a fuss about things, but Levi’s legs were important too. He then asked, “Levi, are you sure that she’s not causing you harm?”

“I’m very sure, Grandpa.”

Maurice couldn’t disagree. “Since you’ve vouched for her, we’ll let her stay for now.”

Phoebe was upset. “Grandpa…”

“Your brother has made his decision. Moreover, if we report this to the police without any evidence, we’ll be making a fool of ourselves if word of it gets out.”

Later on, if the media embellished the news and reported that the Foleys’ new daughter-in-law was sent to the police station within days of getting married, the Foleys would be the town’s jesters.

As long as Rebecca didn’t do anything to hurt Levi, they could pacify all other problems.

Kayla tugged at Phoebe’s clothes, signaling for Phoebe to stop talking. If Maurice got mad, he would defend Rebecca even more, and it would be even trickier for them to chase Rebecca out.

Phoebe was reluctant, but she still had an ace up her sleeve. When her second elder brother came back, he would finish off this woman!

Maurice continued, “Let’s all go out. Rebecca, come with me for a moment.”

“Okay.”

Phoebe and Kayla were frustrated; they thought they could chase Rebecca out right away, but Levi unexpectedly spoke up for her.

Kayla was extremely pissed.

She was prepared to confess her feelings to Levi someday soon, and as soon as he agreed, they could immediately tell Maurice about this, and the old man might agree to it.

However, Rebecca just had to pop out of nowhere and get in her way.

After the others went out, Rebecca was about to follow suit when she thought of something as she arrived at the door. She turned around and said to the man lying in bed, “I’ll be right back. Stay there and don’t move.”

Levi smiled bitterly. “I can’t move even if I want to.”

Rebecca thought that he was upset. Since he had helped her through the difficult situation just now, she decided that she would comfort him a little.

It was her way of repaying his kindness.

“Well… I’ll try to cure you as soon as possible.”

He saw compassion gleaming in her gaze, then curved his lips in exasperation. He was just describing his situation, but she was already pitying him greatly.

After the door was closed, Levi’s gaze turned even more complicated. Just now, Rebecca demonstrated calmness that surpassed any normal person’s. She was either a normal girl from the countryside or someone who truly knew medicine.

Meanwhile, Rebecca followed Maurice into the study. Maurice gestured at the chair in front of her. “Have a seat.”

She still had to perform acupuncture on Levi, so she decided not to stay for long. Hence, she declined the offer politely. “It’s okay; just tell me what it is, Grandpa.”

She didn’t fancy beating around the bush, and she loved simple and clear delivery.

Maurice didn’t expect the girl to be so straightforward, but he liked her for that. “Can you cure Levi for real?”

“I can’t guarantee that it’ll be quick, but I’ll do my best. There’s… something off about Levi’s legs.”

Maurice frowned. “What do you mean?”

“Someone has been drugging him for a long time. I’m still looking into it, but what I can tell you is that if he keeps taking this drug, he might have to get his legs amputated eventually.”

“What?!” Maurice’s expression shifted. He was truly shocked.
