SWNOVELS Chapter Interrupted
'You smell them? I can't even smell them yet! Gives us a few minutes at least.' He replies to just me then tells the pack to get to safety the warriors come closer to us for commands. 'Your turn, Sis. You call the shots here.'
'Listen up, vampires will be on us in a few minutes. Thankfully, with me, we have a heads up. Rip them to pieces and then those with fire magic need to light them on fire. If you can't find someone look for me. Make piles if needed. They need to be destroyed no matter their numbers. If you just focus on ripping them up and lighting fires, then this should be over as soon as it begins. Listen to your Alpha's howl for the fight to begin and one of us three for an end.'
They all bow their head in a submissive manner to show they understand. For some reason, I knew this would happen. Everything is never easy like this when I am involved.
About ten or fifteen vampires start making their way towards us. The smell of them makes me do this snarl his sound. I've had to kill a few vampires and such while on the run. Some would find our campouts, so I would take them out before the others knew about them even. This little bit would be a peice of cake for us. I, alone, could take at least 5 and burn them as I go before this is over.
"Oh, look! We have some little puppies playing wolf!" One shouts with a laugh as he steps forward. "Henry sent us. He is growing impatient, that hybrid girl is his by rights."
"Get off our lands and maybe we will allow you to live!" Snarls a shifted Colson towards the intruders.
"No, you keep taking things that aren't yours. This land will be ours, I think as well." The vampire responds and I do my snarling hiss by instinct again when I shouldn't have. "Oh, you have someone here with you, I see. Caleb, please run and inform Henry his granddaughter is present as he suspected."
'Colson, howl." I mind linked him and he responded with the howl. I went for the one that took off names Caleb but lost him when I heard my pack members struggling. I had to fight and protect the pack. Even if it means losing an informer.
I take out one of the two that had Theo pinned, Theo took out the other. Colson took one out that ripped the throat of a warrior out. I say a quick spell in my mind and they light on fire while I go for more kills. When only a few were left, I turn to Colson, 'The informer got away. We need to get back and make plans to an attack on our pack.'
Colson looks at me with sad eyes, his first thing as Alpha is a war with about 5 deaths of our greatest warriors on his hands. This isn't easy. It sucks. 'Get our casualties and wounded to the pack hospital. Then everyone join back at the party. We will still finish this ceremony. Then Theo, Az, and I will start our plans.' He addresses the remaining warriors before turning to me. 'I have a plan, but I need Alpha Ryanne to go along with it.'
I know what he is going to ask. He wants to use me as bait. It's how our father would make this situation go away too. Basically, to make that work, Ryanne will have to mark me so he can find me after I let myself get caught. That way, they can take them all out. I know how Colson will think, our father taught us both this. He used mom as bait a couple times to take out enemies while we grew up. It isn't easy for a mate to allow this though. The bond is to protect, not to subject to danger.
The party was in full swing, yet again, when we got back. I see Zoe, Pete, Liam, and Ryanne all watching to see who is arriving. Before our eyes meet, Ryanne smiles knowing I am safe from smelling my scent. We had shifted back and got clothes on. Vampires thankfully don't make a huge mess when ripping up. So, no shower needed.
"Hey, so, what happened?" Ry says as soon as I reach him. I just pull him into a hug and kiss his cheek, not wanting to speak yet.
"Okay, now that our little rough situation is settled. Those who wish to go meet our wounded warriors or go grieve their lost ones may. I would just like to make a few announcements before asking those who wish to join our buffet." He pauses and looks over our people. Theo and I join him on the stage. "I would like to allow everyone to know, I have found me mate. Your future Luna. Please, Liam come up."
I smiled at Liam and Colson as they met on stage. After they hugged, Liam came to me for a hug and stood next to me as well. Everyone seemed to be a little shocked for the most part but most accepted and showed excitement with cheers.
"Second, it's time for any challenges among us. Any for below the other shall be fought first." He continued to speak. Theo stepped forward. Anger was all over him.
"I will not stand by a Gay Alpha. I, Betta Theo, Challenge Alpha Colson for the rights to this pack!" Theo bellows. I immediately step forward without thinking. "I, Gamma Azula, challenge Betta Theo for Betta position."
I have to use the Gamma name for challenges even though we don't go with them normally. This shows a formal challenge. There are no other challenges. Theo, looks beyond satisfaction at the moment. I return him with the most evil smirk. This has been needed for a long time. I do not want the Betta role with a Luna role of another pack coming, but if it means pissing off Theo more, this is perfect to settle things once and for all.
"I accept the challenges brought upon us." Colson says to the crowd, but not looking happy at all. He turns to me, "You shouldn't have stepped in, but thank you."
"I have my own reasons, Theo deserves nothing. Since this is until one gives submission, when he submits, make sure I stop because I may not." I tell Colson.
"Why? You normally have great control." Colson looks at me worried as we make our way to our challenge circle. "Tell me what is up between you and Theo, Az."
"He raped me." I said walking into the circle, opposite Theo. Leaving a taken back Colson.
